Raining quite heavily this morning.
Daisy, hope the back ache eases off soon.
Going to an organised BBQ tonight. It's a wedding party for sister in law that got married a couple of weeks ago.

Good morning everyone!

It's very wet here, although the rain has stopped and the sky is getting brighter. It looks like one of those days where washing would be on and off the line like a yo-yo!!

Nanto - thank you - my back's a bit less painful thismorning, but I slept like a log and that always helps. It's frustrating because there's so much I want/need to do, but don't feel like it! OH picked a huge bagful of runner beans yesterday and I want to get some of them in the freezer, plus a couple of loads of washing glaring at me from the laundry bin, and there's a nice layer of assorted dog hair all over the landing carpet where they've dumped their toys and then lain down to chew them!

OH is going to do the supermarket shop this morning, so I don't have to worry about that! DS1 and family go on holiday today for 2 weeks (Bailey's family). At least they should get nice weather in the Algarve.

Nanto - I hope the rain clears up for your BBQ tonight - soggy burgers aren't much fun.

Still a bit damp here after lots of rain yesterday.

I feel like a lost a day yesterday after having an awful migraine for most of the day. The morning and evening were ok but the rest of the day is a bit of a blur...... no alcohol was involved

Hope your back continues to improve Daisy, don't try to do too much.

Slinging it down here 💦☔️☂️ eldest g/d is having her birthday party today although her birthday isn't till next week every time she tries to have it on her actual birthday not many can come schools have broke up and lots of children are away, so mum has brought it forward. Off to see her and her friends they are bowling and having lunch there, I must get showered as have to be off by 10.30😱 Will be back later look after yourselves the poorly ones well anyone really 😀 Ps there are 11 of the dears so we're just going to back up DD !

Morning all.Sun making a watery appearance after a wet day yesterday.Grass needs a cut but it'll take a good while to dry out enough.
Daisy I hope your back recovers as soon as possible. It really drags you down doesn't it? What a lovely haul from the allotment.My runner beans are coming in dribs and drabs,not enough for a meal but I don't want to leave them till more are ready as they'll get stringy,so I'm having to add them to other veg.

After an early morning for us both yesterday (OH golf, me childcare) We are being very lazy this morning and are not yet up! OH has the TV on and is watching golf. 2 of the 3 cats are keeping us company.
We have just had a downpour, but it is brightening up a bit now. Tonight we are going to friends for a meal.
The school fair went really well, despite a far from summery evening. Our presence was most welcome, as SIL was away and DD often had to man stalls, bouncy castles etc to give others a break. GD was fine with her friends, but having Grandmas to look after the baby was useful!.We all left there about 7.45, and OH and I had a pub lunch on the way back, which was very nice.
One of GDs schoolfriends, a little boy, loves GS2 (and vice versa) and played with him lots, even buying some bubbles to amuse him! I will post a pic of GD, her friend and the baby having fun

Well Storm woke us at 5.30 needed to pee then came back in and fell asleep again ,
Its been a busy morning so far , Got up had a quick shower , fed Storm , did my housework and put first load of washing on ,
Took Storm for a 3/4 hour walk in the rain we got soaked but he had a ball rolling on the grass and greeting other dogs,
Came home had to change as was so wet , then go to DD to see to cats and get more raw food out of freezer to defrost for Storm , no idea what cats had been up too but food bowls upside down water bowl tipped all over floor ,shoe cupboard open , I'm sure they have had a party
Then went to Sainsburys , back home to put first load in tumble and second load in washer , I need a sleep now

Gem, Cannon Hall is about 7 miles from us. We last went about 4 years ago.
Rain cleared up, had lovely warm sunshine this afternoon.
Hope it stays dry for the wedding BBQ tonight.

Back from the party it was so well organised at Hollywood Bowl n ever been so early to a bowling alley 11.30 am we had 2 booked lanes and our own personal party organiser who did the scoring, sat the kids down for a chat before and after explaining how it all works, balloons, the works, hot food bang on time the kids were starving , ice cream, cake and candles and party bags and all went home with a balloon and a happy face , really good 😊 Only 10 girls in a class of 32 all the rest obviously are boys so not invited lol, feet up now but all that food I bought yesterday and forgot to get something out of the freezer this morning. Could be the chippy tonight !!
The travellers as in DS and entourage arrived home from their hols looking well when we face timed.
I didn't realise you lived there Nan it's a lovely part of the world my Dil lived in Darton not far away. Hope BBQ goes well with the weather
Daisy hope that back is sorted too it gets you down.

Whoops! I posted 2 cards to my mums friend (they have been friends for over 80 years!) who is in hospital. One from mum, one from me. After posting I realised I had addressed but not written inside mine

Lovely and sunny here. After walking to the village for some wine and flowers to take tonight, we came back and sat in the garden for a while.

Just had a long walk with the dog , I am sooo unfit , I'm exhausted . Hes no bother on the lead now before he has pulled me over a couple of times now he's obedient . comes to heel and doesn't pull . A little dog started barking at him and showed its teeth , he just sat down and looked at it for a few minutes then carried on walking , a big change from what he was like .

BBQ was good last night, it rained off and on, but we sat inside. Food was lovely.

Sunny here, but forecast not so good later.
This afternoon I am meeting DD2 and GC at a softplay place, which has outdoors too if the forecast is wrong
SIL due back from his weekend away tonight, OH going to watch Open golf final on a friends TV, so DD and I decided to get together.

Good to hear the BBQ went smoothly Nan2.

Daisy, my GD doesnt break up until Tuesday either. My friends GS breaks up on Wednesday!!

Morning ladies , Nanto glad the rain didn't spoil things ,
Sunny at the minute so gave the weeds on DD drive a spray ,
Libras DD and family are up this way today to see The Angel of the North hope the weather stays dry for them I forgot to tell her The Sunderland Air show is on too but no doubt they will see the signs ,
Storm going to his Grans today till tomorrow , we going to Martins after lunch and we don't know what time we will get back .
Really need to clean inside of windows but I'm hanging on till dog goes home on Thursday
DD text to say they felt and heard the earthquakes but they safe they in Rhodes 150 miles or so away from it , still worries me though .
