Oma - you and B were kind to stop and check that poor lady was ok. There is some appalling careless driving these days, but the roads are so crowded I fear it will get worse.

Clover - what a lovely day, and hopefully you will both sleep well after all that fresh air.

Nanto - I'm glad you haven't got to wait so long for your appointment. xx

Plant - things must be feeling very strange. What a week you've had. Sending hugs.

Qwerty - I hope you are now relaxing, admiring the decorating. I do hope you haven't got a UTI - what a pity you can't get to see the doctor tomorrow. Waiting is awful.

Nanto - thank you. Bailey is settling down fine. He's a lovely dog and likes his cuddles! Eva was a pain when we took them for a run. She's so boisterous and was extra-excited to have a friend to play with. Unfortunately Bailey doesn't play that hard and he just lay down, looking at her as if to say "Calm down, dear"!!! We had to put her back on the lead in the end. Sigh!

Other than walk the dogs and cook dinner I haven't done anything today. I think I need a couple of days to get over our busy social life of the last 2 weeks.

WG - You are going to be a busy lady. I do hope your DS is ok. It sounds as though he's making progress, but he must still be in pain. thank goodness your OH was able to get him an immediate appointment at the doctors.

I'm always relieved, but rather surprised when my OH likes the same curtains - or anything for the home - that I do, but it certainly makes life easier. We got our current living room curtains at JL and the made to measure service was brilliant. It took just a week and they were well-made and arrived needing hardly any pressing. We were, and still are, very pleased with them.

Busy time for you at the end of the month WeeGranny.
Daisy, pleased Bailey has settled in. Eva sounds like a bundle of fun.
I always go to an independant shop for my curtains. Made to measure, and iv'e never been disappointed yet.
I want some new ones for the living room, later in the year.

                oh dear nan2!
typing one handed as baby on my knee. he had less than an hours sleep, all of which I spent doing various jobs, so no time to catch up here! I'll read back and comment later. we are at GDs school fair at 4.30, and will probably grab a bite to eat on the way home, so it may be a while!
I think his teeth woke him up.

OH came home, having won at golf for the second time this week. She's on a roll!
I had given GS his lunch and some Calpol and played with him and watched Telletubbies. He seemed a bit crotchety again, and was rubbing his eyes so we decide to try for another nap. Normally we can't unless OH can stay at home with him, as I leave at 2.30 to collect GD. Today being the school fair her mum will collect her and we will meet them at the fair at 4.30sih. I thought GS was asleep but I hear him chattering over the baby monitor!

Oma, I hope you are OK after your fall. How scary that would have been.

Good to know Bailey is settling Daisy.

You need to rest up before that hectic week, WG!

Evening friends managed to get to Cannon Hall today yay, had lunch but both absolutely pogged we had to walk around the museum and park area for sometime my stomach was cramping and OH said he felt he had swallowed a brick lol, we just not into eating big meals these days he had steak pie and I had ciabatta with pulled pork and chips groan, what we should have done was eat that and see how we felt but no we were greedy and bought 2 individual but large Manchester tarts at the same time as ordering the meal !
They have a lovely farm shop there and I really didn't feel like walking round it but know I would regret it next week when looking for meals so OH went back to the car as he wanted his inhalation ( cigar ) 😏 I bought chicken breasts, tomato sausage which I love as does eldest G/D and you can't buy it round home, steak pie how dare I and some nice bread worth the effort
Oma have you been on the Pimms again falling tut tut take more care dear ,glad all is well at diabetic clinic

I once put the milk in the washing machine though.

I don't know quite where today has gone. We had the luxury of not having to be up or out early, so I was still pottering round at 10 o'clock! I waved the duster vaguely around downstairs and pushed the sucky up thing for a bit. Then OH and friend came back from the allotment and dumped bags of goodies on the newly cleaned glass kitchen table (the one Oma warned me would get messy very easily! all over the work surface and even on the floor! By then it was pouring with rain so we couldn't take the veggies outside to divide up. We've pulled up the onions and two rows of potatoes, loads of runner beans and the last of the broad beans. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow!

My back's still aching, and everything I do seems a major effort, so it's a good excuse not to do too much.

Tomorrow night I'm going to a screening of the Andre Rieu Maastricht concert. However, the place where it is showing has been found to have 'structural issues'!!! It's been closed for 2 weeks, but I've no idea whether the problem has been sorted out or not. As far as I know the screening will go ahead. Watch this space!!

Oma - I do hope you're ok after your acrobatics on the ladder. Pleased to hear you got a good report from the diabetes clinic.

Qwerty - lunch sounds yummy - and can I come to yours for tea next week, with all those goodies? Ooooh - Manchester tarts - I haven't had one of those for years and years and years!

My poor little GD1 doesn't break up from school until 2.30 on Tuesday! I've no idea why they think breaking up so late is a good idea - and it also clashes with the New Forest Show which is a huge event round here. The decision-maker in the Education Department needs to get out of the office sometimes and see what's going on. They did the same thing a few years ago and it really affected the numbers of people going to the Show.

Nanto - it's easily done, putting the milk in the washing machine.
