When I looked after dad making his bed was a nightmare as he wouldn't have a duvet, it was two sheets (Top and bottom) about 4 blankets with an eiderdown 4 pillows and not forgetting his booster pillow which had to be placed inside the bed at the bottom for his one foot to rest on when he was sleeping as lying the leg flat was too painful, added to this , that would have been when I was having many, many hot flushes ! I could be seen in the depth of winter with his bedroom windows thrown open wide with me dressed in the skimpiest t-shirt I could find !

My G D helped me change my bed yesterday, I would like to move it out to clean under and behind the bed but I will need help for that now. The electric blanket is off and cleaned and put away, the next time the bed is changed I will put the lighter weight duvet on. The curtains out to be washed, put it on my list.

Good morning all.
Awake at stupid o'clock listening to the birds singing, although it's a lovely sound couldn't they have a lie in just for once?

Popping to town this morning to buy to buy some exciting items, a new bag to store mushrooms in, hooks to hang garlic bags on and two wedding anniversary cards . Utterly breathtaking isn't it . I really don't know how I am going to contain all this excitement!

The sun is shining, and I am going with DD2 and all 3 GC to Monk Park Farm near Thirsk. I have only been once when GD was a baby, so am looking forward to a return visit with them all. DD is picking me up and we are taking picnic.
OH,of course, will be on the golf course!

Good morning ladies a lovely sunny day , been to Asda I wanted a blouse they had but they didn't have my size so will have a look online ,
We have GS1& Dog for a few hours as DD is off to have a tattoo for her up coming birthday present
GS1 is at the moment sitting drinking a cup of Bovril the first hot drink we have managed to get down him as he wont have Tea or Coffee and he's really enjoying it

Lovely and warm here today, not too hot and no wind. Just done some garden, just gentle chopping back a thug of a rose and took the flame gun over the paving. Decided to stop as I get tired very quickly and I have cleaned bathroom this morning. Hope you are all having a lovely day, especially Daisy

Oma, we have a drink of boril a couple of times a week,usually when hubby is busy in the shed.
Plenty of sunshine today,but not overpowering like it was last week.

Good afternoon its a very warm but cloudy day here and have just spent over an hour in the garden, 10 mins was drinking coffee, 5 mins was planting some pansies in my tea cup planter and the rest was spent talking to my neighbour.

Hope everyone is well and is having a nice day, I'm back into the garden to finish what I went outside to do.

Just catching up! This morning the internet decreed I shouldn't have contact with the outside world - it's getting to be a pain in the neck!

It's been a beautful sunny day here and became very warm. but about 7 pm it cooled down. OH and I were eating outdoors at the pub and wished we'd taken jackets because there was a chill wind whistling round us!!

Qwerty - You must be exhausted. I hope the wine duly arrived, plus top ups after all those days and nights of child care. xxx


I thought I was the only person in the world who approached changing the bed with dread! We have a hard floor in the bedroom so actually cleaning under the bed is easy - just shove it over to first one side then the other (not that I do it that often, but at least it's easy) but changing the sheets and duvet cover exhaust me!

Oooh - I love a Bovril drink. I first discovered it when I was pregnant and went off both tea and coffee. Sometimes it's the only drink to go for!!

Good morning, Nanto and everyone.

It's sunny here as well, and I've promised myself a day in the garden. Please don't imagine me sprawled on a comfy lounger, glass in hand watching the bees busily flitting from flower to flower. The reality will be - weeding, re-edging the lawn, weeding the patio, potting on plants in the greenhouse and preparing the greenhouse beds for planting, clearing a scrubby area at the bottom of the garden and dead heading a huge climbing rose! Obviously this is in my dreams, I'll never get everything done - but at least I'll make a start!
