Enfys - what a shame for the summer fete. I'm getting seriously fed up with this showery weather. Yes, we had a huge downpour a few minutes ago. I was just thinking about going to do some gardening!

I'm hear ladies been busy been upholstering my dressing table chair sprayed it cream to match my new dressing table then upholstered in cream faux leather . It was a pig to do took ages then had to go for the trimming to hide the staples . Was going to put brass tacks all around but my fingers are hurting now so gluing trim on was easier 😊 got new mirror measured up but had to fill in the holes from the old mirror then emulsion that bit . In between that I had bedding to iron and clothes to iron , just sat down when DD in laws rang to say they were looking after dog overnight (DD and SIL )away and they wanted to go out for tea so could we have dog for few hours , so work has stopped while he is hear . Don't know where the day has gone to be honest 😊

Hi from a Premier Inn halfway home We are just having a beer in our room (and OH watching Wimbledon! ) Eating in the adjoining restaurant later.. We arrived to be told there is a function in which goes on until midnight. It's a good job we are not early to sleep types!!

Oma - No wonder you're wondering where the day has gone! You've been a busy, busy bee, as always.

Gem - It's always a problem when other people make a noise at night. We're currently trying to calm down an absolutely terrified Eva because somebody has been letting of very loud fireworks nearby. Poor dog is shaking like a leaf. If we'd known it was going to happen we'd have given her Rescue Remedy in time to calm her down a bit. I'm so cross. Fireworks should be banned except on 5 November and public displays!!

Daisy I agree , one of our industrial units located not far from us has a all year round firework shop so we often get idiots setting big fireworks off at night thankfully Storm doesn't get scared but they are a little way off from them .
Today I'm being treated firstly we going to Morrisons then (wait for it ladies ) we cleaning the shed out ooooo i can hear you all saying how green with Envy you are 😲😁 . We are going out for a meal and to see the new AB FAB movie tonight though 😊

Good morning ladies. It's a beautiful sunny day here - I'm keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way.

Oma - What a fun day! If you want to repeat the excitement you're very welcome to come and spend a day on our shed, too.

After last night's fireworks we were up till 1.30am because Eva was so frightened. She's still not herself this morning, and we're both shattered!

It's my DD birthday today her OH booked her a horse ride , she was a good horse rider many years ago and of late she has been fancying going back to it, so this morning we went to watch her she had a mother and daughter session she hadn't lost her touch , this afternoon a meal with them at Bella Pasta I think it's called a very pleasant day but I would have preferred cleaning your shed Oma NOT lol
Fireworks used to blight us we have 5 star hotel near us lots of weddings and fireworks at night eventually it was banned by environment peace now, poor little dog .

A lovely sunny and quite hot day down South, I have spent it sweeping the patio and long side walk down the drive, pulling a stray weed here and there. Took Shiloh out for a walk,but he's not 100% at the moment, keeps chewing a paw but apart from a slightly sore pad can't see anything alien in there. Oh well could be another trip to the vets tomorrow. Hubs has picked peas and carrots for our dinner strawberries and raspberries for dessert. Lets hope summer is finally coming.

Oh the excitement in my life is just too much after we sorting the shed today he has informed me tomorrow after we have been for his scan he's taking me to the local TIP . Be still my beating heart I can't take all this excitement 😂

What a day!!!
Those of you who are my FB friends will know about this already. We got back to York early afternoon, and went for a pub lunch before going home. I then discovered my purse was missing. We cancelled the lunch, came home and both got online to try to work out which motorway services we had stopped at. I realised that I had taken my purse in with me, no bag, and after we had breakfast we went to the loos. The purse must have been left in the toilet cubicle. I worked out which services it was . We phoned the Starbucks which we remembered was the nearest place to the loos. Someone from there phoned lost property, and thank goodness it was there! We were very scared, as it could so easily have been stolen. As far as we can tell, all my cards etc are there. As it is a 3 hours drive each way at least, it wasn't practical to go back. To cut a long story short, DD3 and OH are in Bude and returning on Tuesday. We eventually got hold of them, and they will come back via that place and collect my purse. All's well that ends well, but it was horrible, and no Sunday lunch! I ordered pizza to be delivered and we have eaten now.
No cash and no cards for the next few days. I will be relying on OH!

Well just back from seeing AB FAB the movie , it's as funny as the series all older and larger but the original cast ,plus loads of celebs really enjoyed it

Oma I'm glad you enjoyed the film. Did OH like it? Iwouldn't mind seeing it but I'm not sure if my OH would enjoy it.
