Why not suggest to the family that she has alarm so that they can be informed if she is ill, instead of you having to get up at that hour with no thanks and appreciation for your help.

How terribly selfish of her (and her family). Trouble is if the same thing happened again you would probably do the same again for fear that something dreadful would happen. Not fair though. Hope you have recovered from your tiredness. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

she no doubt thinks I sit around doing nothing all day,I have calmed down a wee bit but am of the mind to tell her how unhappy I am about not being informed she was sent home, and no doubt if she rang again I would not ignore her
its just not in my nature, I have found out to-day that all the immediate neighbours she has had in the past 8yrs she has lived here have asked to be moved because of her constant needyness looks like I am the last person to find out about this and have become Mrs Muggins.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

We had a lovely day with OH's elder daughter (my stepdaughter) and her new and lovely hubby who came up from Ely for the day. Had not seen them since their wedding last November. We ate, talked, laughed and had a gloriously fun time, which perked new SIL up a lot as his dear brother took his own life a month ago. Unexpected and tragic. He is a good man and has made my stepdaughter very happy, which in turn has made her father very happy, so the family day was a really good time. Excellent day all round.Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot

Just found time to catch up with this section. Page 19 is today. How do I alter it so that the most recent post is at the beginning please? I'm off to see 'top bod' eye consultant tomoro morning, so if he doesn't get my sight sorted I'm going to have a 'sit-in' til he does! Great catching up with everyone's news. You're a lovely bunch."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

The sun is shining to-day and it is very bright outside and if I can say it "quite warm" how long will that last ??? Its Tuesday so off to work this pm I really enjoy going and have been asked to do an extra day but don't want to commit
until after holiday in May as it will be difficult for the manager to find replacement for two afternoons rather than one I also seem to have a few more than expected booking for outside catering jobs I must have been in a good mood when I accepted them I keep saying I am going to downsize them but I enjoy doing them so much and the £s are good so what is not to like really, well my shower is calling off for now and catch up later or depending how the feet feel maybe to-morrow. x glamma xKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

Morning all.
Good luck for today Oma xx
Elisi, that sounds a lovely day!
Marmar*, you can do as Oma says, or the other way is type the number of the last page into the box at the top. Either works well. I have tried several times to change everyones setting so that they see the last page, but it doesn't work, or when it has it has reverted back One day I may get to the bottom of it!
This morning I had a Tesco delivery, a friend unexpectedly dropping in, and then a client.
Grabbing a quick lunch now then shopping and to visit my mum. Once back I will catch up of the forum“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Saw eye consultant this morning. Had blood tests for different things, diabetes & thyroid functions included. Seems like I might be in the small % of people who now see worse than before I had it done. Waiting for MRI scan to rule out stroke /brain tumour. He doesn't think it's the case, but wants to rule out certain things. Called in opticians to get a new lens for specs, so my purse is £140+ lighter. Consultant was thorough so I felt better about it all. Because I'd put in a complaint & have got a 2nd opinion at another hospital I had 5* treatment. Thanks to a GRU friend's advice, I now feel as though it's getting sorted. Back in 6wks for results. Other cataract op' on back burner til this ones sorted. Thanks everyone for your good wishes."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
