Good morning everyone. I hope Mr Oma, and everyone else, is well today. After the first day of antibiotics I do seem to be coughing and wheezing less. I should have gone to the Dr when this all started in December. I'm not much good at practicing what I preach
I submitted my online passport application last night. Off to have the, no doubt hideous, photo taken this morning!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

well an unscheduled trip to Windsor in a short while. Trying to get husbands DBS, filled it in on line and went to nearest main post office. No you cannot do it here, look on the web. Looked on the web, well they do not make it easy! Southall, Greenford, Ealing and Windsor, none of which are terribly convenient especially on a Saturday so we are going to get the train, get the stuff done, have a spot of lunch, possibly some shopping. Got to go as have to get train at 10.40..... Not the peaceful and quiet day I was hoping for.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Just found this thread again. I hadn't looked on page 3. Doh. Oma, do hope all is back to normal now.
We went for a long walk today in the glorious spring sunshine. Only four and a half miles, but I've been so sedentary over the winder I'm absolutely exhausted now. Mind you there was an hour's travelling either end, but even so. Big memo to self. Get fitter quicker.

Morning, lovely bright blue sky, don't know how cold is outside yet. Busy day today. Just popping out for a paper, then coffee and quick read. Quick tidy up, pack suitcase for holiday (so busy between now and then - tell you in a minute), do some work as I need to get a mass invite out to charities and businesses before I go, prepare veg for dinner, rewrite freezer list, wrap gift for my colleague at work- she is going with the rest ofmy colleagues to Euston Tower in the centre of London and I am not, she is so helpful to me I shall miss her. Do some washing and out it out to dry. First time this year- not first time washing this year, first time outside this year! I am sure I have a lot more but I think that will do for now......
Tomorrow I am taking my colleague to lunch and it will be the last day ever I am based in a company office (unless something happens and I get promoted), Tuesday I am in Croydon at a training centre which is going to be opened by someone who doesn't have a clue so I am taking an experienced manager along to give professional advice in the hope that in return we will be able to get some young people from my borough on training courses or taster days there! Wednesday is the lunch with HRH Prince Charles, have to be there by 10 and won't get home until about 6 so no point really in booking a hotel as we normally do. We will go out about 5.15 am on Thursday to get to the airport. We have booked a lounge and I will mooch around the shops for a little while not that I really need anything but well, if the shops are there you have to have a look don't you? We are travelling on scheduled BA this time not stand by which I am glad about. I hate stand by especially going to European holiday destinations as they are generally very busy and you hardly ever get to sit together and you often get rotten seats. I find them very stressful but husband is all "well we only paid £xx so what do you expect?" I would rather pay more actually darling. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Wednesday was to be the first day of holiday but once I am no longer seconded I am hardly likely to be invited to anything vaguely royal, maybe a pint down the Queen's Head with the site guys on a Friday night but nothing else, so I thought I would take advantage. I won't charge any of my friends for being in my presence I promise!!If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
