Now I am about to have a moan. I have tried to respond to the clothes thread twice and get the human verification message. I have tried pasting something written elsewhere and it brought a box saying to paste into it and press OK but then it looses it again. Given up now.

Afternoon everyone on this special day, we are one year old today . Can't believe how quickly one year has passed, it seems like only yesterday that we were on the 'forum that died from neglect ' to this , our wonderful GransRus.
It's blowing a gale outside today but very mild . I have been having a rummage in the shed giving it a bit of a tidy up and then checking my pots of plants that have over wintered in the cold frame, some aren't looking to great but others are ok. I really think if we'd have had a proper winter they would be looking much better but the temperature has changed from one day to another that the plants haven't really remained dormant. Oh well let's see what spring brings.Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Afternoon ladies, Daisy I hope you manage to get your son's hedge cut before the rain. Its dry here at the moment and very mild, I am about to de clutter my car and give it a long over due vacuum and wipeover. It goes in for MOT tuesday and it really was a dustbin and not a car. Kids throw their sweet wrappers down, dog hair etc its appalling Im quite embarrassed by the mess. Oma enjoy that yummy ice cream, Gem hope your DD is thrilled with her surprise get together, what fun. We must have pics."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

I have booked "meet and greet" at Gatwick for holiday. Our hotel is right by the terminal. My car is a bit of a tip but Libra, does not sound quite as bad as yours. I have no intention of cleaning the car before it is taken. When we left the car a couple of years ago and paid Β£25 for it to be cleaned it was externally quite mucky but the service was atrocious. As I say it was dirty (I was doing a lot of Southend to Colchester runs at that time) but when I got it back at the end of the holiday I expectged it to be smelling sweet and everything clean. WRONG - the wheel hubs had been cursorily cleaned, there were wipe marks on all of the windows and there were twenty seven miles extra on the clock which they could not explain. ! Got a full refund and a Β£25 voucher for future bookings which I didn't use as I no longer trust that company. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

The hedge is well and truly chopped! My arms and back ache, but I got to use OH's beautiful Japanese pull saw - under his watchful eye, of course. Much better than my rusty old pruning saw.
LG it didn't rain properly here - a light drizzle but not enough to even wet the patio. but it was very windy - I was wishing I'd taken something to fasten my hair out of my eyes. I must have looked like the mad witch!! LOL
Nanto - not long now!
Gem - I bet DD1 will enjoy every minute, and all her surprises. It feels like quite a milestone when your firstborn reaches 40 - and even more so when your baby gets there too!
GD2 is back at playgroup tomorrow, so I've got time to take Eva for a good walk before having to collect GD. After today, I think it's a good job Ihaven't got such an early start.

Good morning everyone.
It was a lovely party yesterday. We all had a great time, and DD loved it.
The children - a 9 year old, two 6 year olds, three 3 year olds and 2 babies under 1, had a lot of fun, and were good. I have to say I was glad it wasnt our house, and I felt a little guilty leaving so much mess, mainly caused by those little people!
Not too guilty however, as my house is constantly under siege from grandchildren
Oma, I vote we have the next GRU get together near you, then we can all go to the ice cream parlour!!
Daisy, I bet your back and arms do ache, no lifting GD today!!
Work for me this afternoon, a few things to get on with this morning
