Not surprised you were upset Qwerty. I think competitions for under eights are not a good idea. We used to organise a carousel of activities with mixed age groups and points awarded for teamwork, fair play and effort. In the afternoon the older ones had competitive races. And the worst losers were...........the Dads!

Too true mamar* !
When some boys upset my GD last summer, before talking to them I had to tell myself to put my childcare workers head on ( I worked with under 7's for 20 years) With my Grandma head on, heaven help the poor kids

No relief here stinging eyes, snotty nose. Got to go and put diesel in car and go to my storage unit to get some stuff for a special needs student visit to one of my sites and then coming back and spending the day indoors which is a great shame. It is a bit overcast but still very warm and humid. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Afternoon all. Really hot here. Second load of washing on the line. Wimbledon & the fan on. Cold drink, feet up & recovering from a hectic GS day yesterday. Sigh of relief.☺"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
