Today I went to town to meet with the new community person at the company which funds T2S. If they thought I was stupid enough to give away all my secrets they are sadly mistaken. She wasn't just asking about T2S she was asking about community working as well and who she should get in touch with, how to work in schools etc. Apart from anything else they are a rival construction company who we often come up against in bids. Why would I give them information that might make their bids look preferable to ours in the CSR field?
It was chilly when I went out first thing so wore a light Mac, boiling when I got back. Fed up with the tube beggars. Three tissue beggars on the way out plus a young chap begging for money to feed himself and "rehydrate" and using the doors connecting the tube carriages whilst the tube was moving to go forward. Very dangerous. Then on the way back an Eastern European begging with a baby (disgusting) and 2 more tissue beggars. When you are on the tube you cannot call the transport police as mostly you are underground but I always report them when I get up top. Also they can be aggressive so I wouldn't make a call until they have moved into the next carriage.
Tomorrow I am at a primary school with year ones which I am soooo looking forward to. Will take ages to get there and a real pig of a journey but hey ho!If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

That was my problem Mimi, we have a sharpener but SIL couldn't get it to sharpen the edging shears about 2 weeks ago, said he would have another go, I got fed up with my edges looking a mess when the borders look lovely, so I am now a proud owner of a new pair. Had to scour three garden centres before I found them. My borders are now cut. Problem is our tools don't get looked after since my OH died. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I know I sound heartless especially as I work with the homeless but this is pure begging and more dishonest than the people who ask for money for food etc. I report them when I get up stairs But the response is always the same, we will report it but it they have a ticket and they are not actually caught receiving money there is not a lot we can do. Note: have never seen them on over ground trains but they have guards/assistants walking through the carriages which makes it more likely for them to get caught. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
