Enfys are you feeling better today.
Oma hope the hospital appointment goes well.
Dad used to get very very confused when he had a water infection and the antibiotics he was given seemed to take a long time to work. I suppose we are all becoming immune to them as they have been over subscribed in the past.

Hope all poorly people feeling better today. We've had a mix of sunshine and showers(heavy ones at that), so I've given the lounge a really good clean and re-arranged the furniture and now my chair is at the patio door looking out onto the garden and it gets the sunshine too!!! Tomorrow it's the turn of the dining room and hall...if I feel like it!

Enfys - I hope you're feeling better and escaped the downpour today.

Today has been one of those days - you know, the ones where you wish you'd stayed in bed! I had to take Clyde to the groomers for a haircut this morning. This is some distance away - about 20-30 minute journey. But, clever me, I'd checked on road closures because we're plagued with them at the moment, and devised a route that shouldn't take more than 5 or 10 minutes longer. I arrived on time, went into the pay and display car park, with difficulty because of pavement repairs blocking half the road. All this was in torrential persistent rain. As I got out of the car a gentleman said did I know there was something hanging underneath the engine of my car. No, I didn't, so in the pouring rain I knelt in a puddle to check, and if looked like some sort of large flappy thing hanging down. Rang OH who said call the AA. So I got the dog out of the car and he was totally spooked by the diggers on the pavement so I picked him up - more mud on my coat. Delivered him, and he jumped up and started yelping. So I was really worried he'd hurt his back again. Rang the AA who promised to be there within an hour. Why have I never got my Kindle or iPad when I have time to kill! So I went and had a coffee and got a paper. By this time the rain was just heavy, and I was soaked! By the time the AA man had done a temporary repair it was too late to go shopping as planned, I was freezing cold and very fed up.

Finally got home about 1.30 and felt I'd wasted half a day! And then the sun came out! Grrrr…..

Cheer up, at least at least Clyde looks dapper after his pamper. Well, here's hoping ....I'm presuming he's not hurting?

Enfys, I'm so sorry to hear that you have not been well. I hope things improve vey soon.

Gosh, what a day, Daisy! Poor you and Clyde getting wet. What was wrong with your car?
I once came home in my car, several years ago, and saw something kind of furry hanging down at the back. I was convinced I must have run over a badger My then husband assured me I had not! In fact it was the exhaust! This stuff like badger hair is inside it, apparently!

                      Good morning everyone.
Today OH and I are going out for the Senior Special meal with my mum and aunt, both 86. Makes us feel quite young by comparison, but can still benefit from the senior meal

We have friends here from tomorrow until Tuesday morning, from New York, Germany and Portsmouth. Not all staying with us! 2 are however, and all are coming to the house for Saturday brunch. So, housework must be done today!!

Afternoon all yesterday was Twins day I really cant get on here at all that day one rolling and one walking with the furniture and licking either the curtains or settee I have no experience as to whats going on with that, put we had a fall she crawled in the dining room which has a wood floor thought she would come to no harm but she tried to stand up and slipped, she had tights on which wont have helped and she hit her head on the threshold. I felt terrible about it especially with my DIL, she has a graze just under her eye, and she has a hospital app today for a check upon their health,, I texted DIL I couldn't wait till she came I was surprised to get a text back to say she will have to get used to a few knocks. You could have knocked me down with a feather she was fine about it these things happen I know and I have to have eyes in the back of my head with two 11 month old babes. The evening after having them is recuperating time
I wait now to hear what the consultant will have to say I am worried about J will let you know about that soon enough
Enfys hope you get well soon, my OH has 2 sebaceous cysts on his back and shoulder he has 2 weeks to wait for doc to take one of them off the one on his shoulder but the one next to his spine is causing him some pain goodness knows when he will get that sorted he's waited a month for this one to be taken off.
Daisy a mad day for you you seem to have so many of them

Hope you've managed to get your breath back now Daisy! I decided to go out for a walk this afternoon ( OH had gone into town) and set off in sunshine. Halfway round the black clouds came over and the heavens opened...as the Scots say, I looked like a 'drookit rat' by the time I got back and the wind was in my face on the home straight! Needless to say the sun is now shining again.

Well I have been all over the place these last few days. Today I went to my work storage unit to clear my car from T2S and pick up some art and crafty things to take to dils lunch on Sunday. She has the whole restaurant and we are setting up an art table as about 20 children of varying ages there. so I unloaded the car, got to the unit, two locks on there. Mine and one from the storage people with a note saying to go to reception. Went to reception only to be told my company has not paid the bill and I was locked out. WHAT? Multi million pound company, second biggest construction and services company in Britain and they haven't paid the bill which, with late payment charges is £800. I made a couple of phone calls and made my feelings perfectly clear. Fortunately the receptionist recognised that it was not my fault and kindly let me in to the unit to do what I needed but said that if it wasn't paid by 5pm they would lock it again and I would not be allowed in until the bill is paid. She did suggest I could pay 50% of the bill but, sorry, why should I?

I was waiting for phone call from the person I spoke to telling me that it was paid but I didn't get one so I emailed the person only to find he hadn't done a flipping thing! He finally sent an email to the finance department and they said they would "see what we can do". You can bruddy well pay the bill that is what you can do.

I know that my company has the suppliers on 120 days credit and that is a big bone of contention, we often have small traders threatening to walk off site because they are owed so much money. The company is notoriously mean with money BUT they got Chief Executive approval for payment of this unit.

We really need a GGGGRRRRRRRR thread.
