It has been chucking it down here but sun is coming out now. Marion I don't think I have welcomed you, hello. I haven't had a chance to be on here much on the last few days.

Sunday was my dils 40th birthday celebration which was held in what used to be a public loo on Twickenham Green. Found out something spooky my middle sons gf (who I don't think will be his gf for much longer) was there. We were chatting about me being born down the road etc. and they told me that they were looking at old photos with her mum and my son recognised his own grandmother (my mum) holding his gfs brother! It turns out that gfs grandmother lived opposite my grandmother and I knew her as Auntie Audrey. she also gave me a knitted pram blanket when my son was born which I still have. Plus her great aunt was my mums best friend who married dads best friend and they were each other's bridesmaids. It didn't stop there but I won't go on!

Got home mid evening a bit squiffy. husband has booked the restaurant for my 60th birthday! Yesterday had the drive from hell to get he. Should have been 40 minutes and it took almost two hours what with congestion on m25 at the Wisley turn off due to road works and deciding to go onto the next junction. However the sat nav was determined to put me back on the m25 and kept trying to turn me around. At one point husband and I had words, both our faults. He should know better than to sit there issuing instructions and I was just buddy frustrated with not knowing where I was. Cannot remember the last time we had words. All is well now. In the end I turned the flipping sat nav off and just went straight until I saw signs for places I knew.

Hotel has not changed outwardly but has changed a bit in other ways. The restaurant is not as good as it was and there is no longer a maitre d. There were only two members of staff one of whom did not understand the request to top our wine glasses up (they take the bottle and keep it in the cooler on the side). Breakfast has changed and gone very "chain" hotel. Used to get individual pots of tea and coffee and little curls of butter now it is all self service and Lakeland butter pats. We are off to the pool now. I am going to book a massage for this afternoon.

Got to go jacuzzi and pool await!!!

Good morning everyone.
Dull miserable day here. OH is back home again after arriving at the golf course to find it is closed. Too wet, so this mornings competition is cancelled She had a email about it, but hadn't checked
I have a nice day. Lunch out with a friend and a little shopping, then dinner out with 2 friends. In fact I tried to change the dinner date as I have eaten out lots this past few days with our visitors. Too much of a good thing! One of the friends is going on holiday soon though, so it has to be tonight.
In between I will visit my mum. She has been a bit 'snippy' recently so I hope all will be well today!

He has a massive sebatious cyst just on the side of his spine he has one on his shoulder they are taking that off in June but this one has become infected its pretty nasty looking, the doc got some stuff out but its not ripe enough so he's been advised to take salt baths, I was bathing it with salt and ashot water as he could stand, he also has some antibiotics but poor fella he cant sit back or sleep on his back he's in agony

Both GC today. GS will be brought here this morning and I will take him with me to pick up GD from school. Both GC find this exciting as it doesnt happen often
As I haven't eaten at home, apart from breakfast, for several days, it will be nice to do so today!

Nanto - it's bright and breezy here, very breezy, in fact quite windy! I think we had a lot of rain overnight because I'd left some seedlings out in a tray and they were nearly floating away this morning!

I'm having a catch up day, and I really want to sort out summer clothes so I can shop before we go on holiday. But it's quite chilly again today and it's hard to get into summer mode! On the other hand, we are going to America and I'm sure there will be a few retail opportunities there! lol

packed to go home but stuck in hotel as a car has overturned outside the main gates. Ambulances, police the lot. Looks very bad. We saw it when we went to breakfast and when we came back there was a huge crowd of people watching. Why do they do that? Hotel said they will let us know when we can get out.

Don't have a lot to do today when we get home although I do have to do some preparation work for tomorrow - have to be in town for ten am but looking at the calendar details I might be able to Webex it which would be a lot better. I would have to do it on hipad as home internet keeps dropping out recently.
