Good morning ladies. Worry not about the Guests! Some guests are members who haven't logged in. Other guests are actually spambot, things like Google, not real people. That is usually the majority of guests online. Elisi tells me this is a good sign
I had to go and feed DD3s cat this morning, they have been away for the weekend. Later I am going to see my mum, and I have washing and some of that dreaded housework to do.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Mimi - technically we are visible on the internet - which is why some of the 'guests' are bots. Admin can see who they are, and they crop up on all internet sites. But until we take some active steps to stick our heads over the parapet very few people will find us."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

He is such a lonely, shy person and this skin problem is not helping him one bit. Wish I could make everything better for him

I've had 'one of those days' today! It started well with an easy journey over to DS2's. GD2 ate her porridge and toast, no trouble. Then it all went downhill. She didn't want me to change and dress her and no amount of distraction worked. She only wanted to play with things she's not allowed - like a set of folding steps, the dog's water bowl, on the stairs, her own sippy cup of water which she likes to sprinkle everywhere. Then she took the shoes off the shoe rack and wanted to wear ALL of them. Then she wanted me to read to her - but kept grabbing the book and throwing it on the floor. None of her toys interested her. We were both exhausted by 11am so I put her down for a sleep. After half an hour she was awake again, but eventually dozed off until lunch time. She's fiercely independent about feeding herself - but not very accurate. The kitchen was bare of kitchen roll, so I ended up cleaning up with j-cloths and muslins. More play with the family shoes, with great frustration because she couldn't walk very well in most of them. Then she picked up her Peppa Pig 'computer' only to find the batteries were flat, so she expressed her frustration in time-honoured way - threw it down in disgust. Then she picked up the etch-sketch thingy and just threw it across the room. I decided enough was enough - and she needed another nap. She had about half an hour. I took her into her parents bedroom to change her. The window was wide open and a motor bike went roaring past, scaring her half to death. Lots of tears, clinging to me like a limpet. Eventually she calmed down enough to go down stairs, and I thought a small bottle of milk would help her relax again. I put it in the microwave to warm, and the microwave blew up, sending her into even more terrified tears! By the time mum and dad arrived home from work I was a wreck!
And she's not 2 until Christmas - I'm wondering if she's practising for the terrible twos already!!!
Of course, I still love her to bits.

Gosh Daisy, what day!! Perhaps she is getting the terrible 2s early. My GD was the same, usually a good girl, threw some real wobblies before her 2nd birthday!
Today I took GS to a local play area, attached to a farm. It is pretty big affair, with animals, bouncy pillows, tractor rides, mini golf, huge sandpit with diggers, and lots more. It is quite expensive at weekends and in the school holidays and adults pay more than the children!! Cheaper in the week during term time. As it is still term time, my senior ticket and his child one got us both in for just over £6. We took a picnic, and stayed over 5 hours! He had a whale of a time, I didn't think I would ever get him to leave! He made a new friend called William, although GS called him Boy all afternoon!
Grandma is now exhausted, but we had a lovely day
