Dear Aggie I do hope the visit to the Memory Clinic went as well as possible..
You seem to be in a similar boat to us. My OH was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few weeks ago which,though not totally unexpected, came as a horrible shock. We have today picked up his medication so I'm praying it works and holds things off for as long as possible.

It has rained hard here this afternoon. Luckily I was in my car!

well it was as expected , OH is being referred to the consultant , we are surprised at how bad he actually did in the test , but we see the PD consultant tomorrow and maybe a tweek of the tablets will make a difference . On the way home we called at a furniture shop and got him a new chair ......... all singing dancing Easy Riser one , made him try it out and try several , DD tried to get me to buy two !!............ I am still cringing at the spark in his eye as he commenced bargaining and got a great discount , we have to get a note from the Dr so hadn't to pay VAT . Even after I had paid he was till trying his luck for a bit more off !! It comes on Friday God help the delivery man !!

Clover, I'm so glad you have the medication, I'm sure it will be helpful. And, in the midst of all the worry it's good to know that Aggie and you can share experiences and support each other. And never forget that all the army of grannies are here for you too.
