fecd7bce-9abf-4ab6-ae1b-25c5d3d8dee7.jpg hallo everyone, far too warm here, 50+ on the balcony!!!

Plant, DS2 used to get nose bleeds, regularly, his bedding had to be changed so often, he grew out of it though.

It is going to be even warmer tomorrow, there isn't much I can do about it though

I am slowly getting packed and sorted ready to go tomorrow morning, DS1 will bring GD2 as they go away, they are having a few days together in Groningen and Schiermonnikoog, dat is the very last island in the north of the Netherlands.

I was telling the trainer at the gym how ill I was on Friday, he was saying a few of the regulars have had the same virus, weak, fever and very tired, I was pleased to hear that then I know it wasn't only me!

GD has started on my cleaning, her OH is reluctantly looking after H.

Oma, I hope you find your Mil much improved but I hope they don’t discharge her too early.

Pleased to hear the Daisy’s are having a nice time, weather has been quite kind. Not sure when they will be back.

Nanto, pleased to hear it was a cheap visit to the opticians.

Lizzie, that is too hot! I'm glad your virus was short lived, it sounded nasty.

Plant I seem to think Daisy may be away for a week but I'm not sure .

Lovely and sunny here, we are in the garden and a friend is coming round to join us soon.

          Very warm here as well.

Nextdoor neighbour asked hubby if he had some spare wood this morning.
Hubby gave him some and neighbour gave us a bunch of carrots out of his garden.
Fair exchange is no robbery as the saying goes.
They had a real carrot smell, which you don't seem to get in shops now.
I grated 1 for the salad. I will cook some for tomorrows dinner, the rest will be frozen.

Nanto, I often get carrots from my veg man with the allotments, so fresh, the same goes for beetroot etc, in fact a friend called the other day with some delicious green beans, very tasty!

Nothing like fresh home grown veg! My OH grows climbing French beans each summer and they are delicious

I like climbing french beans more than runner beans. I do miss the veg. My OH used to grow. The area is now an orchard but this year the squirrels have stripped us of fruit.

MIL was quite chatty today , they had her in the shower this morning and she sat in the chair for 45 minutes.

Shes still confused and getting words mixed up but could laugh at herself .
She needed to sign a form and couldn’t remember how to spell her name so we had to spell it out letter by letter.

She enjoyed the iced water we took in for her , B had put a bottle of water in the freezer before we went so by time we got there it was melting and lovely and cold .

We are going to enquire about the alarm system tomorrow but not order it till we know when she is coming out and I managed to get her to agree to a walking frame .
So providing she doesn’t start being awkward again we on the right track .

I suspect she will have had a fright from this experience Oma, so realise she does need more help than she admits to. She has done so well to be as independent as she has for so long, but the time had come for some concessions to her age!

                      Good morning.

Earlier, outside there was yellowy glow, not from the sun, if you know what I mean. I know what I mean anyway. I've seen it before and we usually have a storm when it's been like that.

Nothing planned here for today as yet.

Dinner is gammon and pineapple, baby potatoes and some of the lovely carrots the neighbour gave us yesterday.

                        Morning Nanto
We say the same when you get that strange glow , we have already had a few spots of rain and thunder storms forecast,
I will believe it when it happens as they get it wrong all the time .
I had Gammon and new potatoes on Saturday lovely 😁

                        Gem
Yes I think she’s realising she needs help now , my DD went in last night and she told her how scared she was .
As DD puts in care packages they talked about the things that can help .
Are you going to see the new kitty today ?😁

                        Plant
Are you feeling mor energised today , hope you slept well xx

                        Daisy

                        Lizzie
Your so lucky to have a veg man , we have allotments but they are a bit far for us well the ones that sell their produce that is .

Need to go to M&S and Home bargains this morning .
I was going to spray the few weeds that are coming through on the drive but no point if it rains.

BBC weather disagrees with Alexa regarding the storm here, so we shall see!

Oma it's my GS1 day tomorrow so maybe I will see her then. They have already had a panic today as they couldn't find her and worried she had escaped from an upstairs window overnight! I told them not to panic and she would be hiding somewhere in the house, which she was.

GD, her OH and H have gone now back to theirs. DD and family will be home very late this evening. It feels nice to have a quiet time, no plans except perhaps some watering later. Very overcast now but rain not forecasted .

Gemini, enjoy your Aqua, wish I could join you. Hope they find the kitten

Nanto, Your mention of gammon makes me think I haven’t had any for some time, lovely with new potatoes.

Oma, your Mil must have been frightened, I hope the hospital keep her in to get her speech better, I imagine she is still a bit in shock. Pleased she has agreed to some help, your DD is in the right profession to persuade her.
