Went in to see MIL this afternoon instead of tonight .
They have moved her out of the assessment ward to a proper ward .
Shes very spaced out but managed to tell us what happened.
We touched on the alarm system and she admitted this has scared her ,
We won’t bully her but we will keep gently pushing her to accept it.

She fell asleep so we came out after 20 minutes to let her rest.

GD1 phoned to ask if I was home so she came to see me! She helped get the bike carrier on the car, I had a drive to the garage first to see if the tow bar was locked, it wasn't!

We then had a walk to the village and she treated me to a coffee, the other way round now!

She was saying her case etc is all ready to go, they fly from Rotterdam airport so don't have to go to busy Schiphol.

A friend from the opposite flat has just been, he has an allotment and brought me beans, grapes etc.

I hope that your MIL does decide to get an alarm Oma.

Oma, I hope your MIL doesn't have to stay in long. They will want to make sure she's safe to come home though and they may suggest an alarm etc.

Lizzie, how nice, a GC paying for something

Both GSs enjoyed each others company today. GS1 helped me a lot with lifting his little cousin, and came to watch him have his bath. GS3 was trying to take his cousin's t shirt off, thinking he was coming in the bath with him At almost 12 that definitely wasn't on the cards!
Little one went to bed with no problem, fingers crossed he stays there until morning!

Good morning. Feels fresh this morning.

Gem,sounds like yesterday went well with both of the boys. Hope the little one slept well for you.

Oma, hope MIL had a good night and doing as she is told by the doctors and nurses.

Lizzie, how lovely that you're GD bought you a coffee.

Hubby out for a couple of hours, then when he gets home we going to visit sis in law and Hubby.

There is some beef stew left from yesterday, so we are finishing that for dinner. Will probably have a couple of dumplings with it.

            Morning everyone
Not as warm or bright today,
I have haircut at 1 so I hope the rain stays off or it’s a mad dash from the car park.

            Gem
            Did little one sleep through?
No I think older GS won’t be getting in the bath with him now 😁
How did S go on at golf did she have a good round.

            Nanto
Dumpling always make a good addition to a meal don’t they.

            Lizzie
How nice for GD to buy you coffee ,
GS wanted to pay for lunch yesterday , but we wouldn’t let him. If it was just a coffee we would have but not lunch for 4 of us.

just as well you got the bar checked isn’t it.

            Plant
are you feeling refreshed today and back to normal 😊

              Good morning ladies.

              Dinner sounds good Nan2.

No wakings for GS3 during the night. He was awake before 6 though. OH got up with him at 6 ( I had gone back to sleep!) I joined them at 6.30. GS is dressed, breakfasted and playing in the conservatory/playroom.
Our hair dresser is due at 10. GS being picked up sometime during the morning.
No GS2 today as they are in Greece. We have some shopping to do but no other plans today.

I am hoping to have a quieter day today, because my DD will not let med
be on my own it is quite busy here with GD1, her OH and H. I have booked a quieter day today, I need to unpack and get some washing on. We went to watch H at her Gym class yesterday, wasn’t impressed with the set up. Today I have to visit my hearing aid shop to get my aids fixed, there is a kink in the tubing.

Gemini, pleased you had a good night with GS3, I hope you have some time to yourselves now. As much as you love them all, you need some me time. Your life is very much like my DD and Sil’s, always on hand with childcare.

I hope Daisy and family are having a lovely time.

Oma, I hope they don’t discharge your Mil too soon. How, lovely of your GS wanting to treat you to lunch.

Lizzie, How nice of your GD wanting to treat you. I hope your bike problem is sorted now.

Nanto, Beef stew and dumplings, yum yum.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I hope you have managed a quiet day today , it’s been full on I bet with all the family when your not used to it.

MIL has had more tests there is no blood clots or blockages , her spine is stable enough without a brace , just rest and gentle exercises when she’s recovered a bit more.
She may need oxygen at home but they said that last time she was in hospital then her levels went up again .
Taking her for a scan this afternoon to see the level of osteoporosis.
SIL said she’s more chatty today so that’s a good sign.

Glad Daisy and family are having a good time.

Oma, pleased its better news for MIL.

Well, we went to sis in laws and they had their 2 year old GD for the day.
Now, she is a lovely little girl, but sis constantly stands next/behind her.
E was playing quite happily on the floor, but sis never left her alone.
If E moved sis would follow her. I know she is their only grandchild, and there won't be anymore.
Both me and hubby said we won't go again when they are childminding.

Plant, I hope you get your quieter day

Oma, that sounds promising news about your MIL.

Nan2, we all know 2 year olds need supervision to keep them safe and happy, but it does sound as though your SIL is being a bit over attentive!

We had a lovely morning with GS3, then DD and SIL plus their Canadian friends who have been staying with them arrived. They all went off to Whitby for the rest of the day.
OH and I put our feet up and watched Vera while eating lunch. We then went to Tesco for some shopping. We love having him and want to make the most of this cute age, but it is nice to relax and have a day or two to ourselves

Good morning Nan2. Good morning everyone else.

The sun is shining here too. Not sure what we are doing today. A local cat rescue centre which I follow is doing a pop up cafe a couple of miles away today, so we may go there for lunch.

Have a good Saturday whatever you are doing.

Good morning everyone, I was ill yesterday, I got out of bed and was so dizzy and weak I almost fell! Felt bad all day with high temp etc but luckily, after sleeping almost 24 hours I feel better! It could have been a virus or been too warm for me but I wouldn't get. a fever from that, I am pleased I feel better today with going away on Monday.

I have just heard GD1 and friends will almost be landing in Dubrovnik, DS1 took them to the airport at 4-30am, they flew from Den Haag/Rotterdam with is very local, and handy!!

I do worry about the strangest things!!! Would the flight go well etc etc etc, as if they are the first to fly on their own.
