Hallo everyone, Oma, I hope your MIL soon recovers, that is what happened to the lady on the first floor, she fell and couldn't reach her phone, she was on the floor all one night until her help found her at 9am.. She is in a home now as couldn't cope.

I have been to the training, went to the Markro first, it is still warm and humid.

Oma, hope MIL makes a speedy recovery. So pleased she was able to get to the phone.
We had alarm bracelets for mam and dad.

Not had any visitors today. An easy day for me, i've tidied round and pottered about.

When hubby was in town yesterday,he bought a punnet of strawberries.
They were piled high in the punnet. We are having some tonight with ice cream.
There were so many, i have frozen some. i know they go soft when they thaw out.
I will get some bramley apples later in the year, and make strawberry and apple pies/crumbles.

Been quite chilly this morning. Had more cloud than sun.

MIL has fractured a vertebrae, they waiting for the spinal unit Dr to come see her , said may need a brace
She will be in for at least a week.
She was vomiting and there was blood in it , they now think it may be the Aspirin she has been taking daily .
She’s in lots of pain still.

I have been for my yearly feet and eye examination at the Diabetic screening clinic,
          Everything fine ,
The back of my eyes are showing a sort of wrinkling but they said not enough for laser treatment yet and it’s a age thing so not worried about it,

Poor MIL Oma, she will feel so sorry for herself. I'm glad your diabetic screening was fine.

That's a good use of excess strawberries Nan2.

It's not been very warm where I am Lizzie!

Daisy, don't worry about us. If you can keep in touch it would be lovely to hear from you, but we can easily wait until you get home Have a lovely time.

We had thought about taking auntie to the coast today had the weather been good. It was overcast and decidedly cool, and actually drizzling when we set off for lunch! We went for a country pub lunch, then back to auntie's for tea and biscuits.

Back from holiday, DD, sil and GD2 and her OH are there for another 4 days. I went by boat and came back by car. The boat route is more suitable and less hassle but not easy with young children due to boat sailing times. Came back with GD1 and H, GD OH driving, Roads and traffic in France so much better than ours. It was a nightmare after the tunnel but we are home now. Very tired so I will leave commenting on your posts until tomorrow.

Gem, its been cold here today as well, although we haven't had any rain.....

Good morning. Feels cool again. It was like winter last night.

Hairdresser coming this morning, gynae check up at the hospital this afternoon.

Apparently they are planning a protest in our town today.. Shops and pubs have been advised to stay closed.

Dinner is beef stew that I took out of the freezer last night.

Oma, hope MIL is feeling a bit better this morning.

Off to finish my second cuppa of the morning.

Good morning, Oma, the lady decided she couldn't manage on her own anymore, she has only lived here 3 years as well. I will call in and see her one day, she is in a home in the next village. I hope your MIL realises she does need the alarm!

It is still very warm here, 30+ on Monday, so they say, then a few cooler days.

Gem, have you heard anymore about your car? My other car went in once for a service etc, I came home, I have carpet tiles in the garage, they were soaked in oil, I phoned the garage, they sent someone out, they had forgotten to tighten the screw!! That was 12 years ago, I can still see where the oil was on the tiles.

Nanto, keep away from the town centre , sad really what is happening, the damage they make etc.

                        Good morning everyone.

Nan2, these checks are not nice, but good to get done. The sun is out here now, so perhaps it is for you.

Welcome back Plant. Holidays are tiring, take your time!

I hope the weather is fine for you all Daisy and you are having a good time.

Oma, hoping MIL had a good night. No word on my car. I am presuming it will be ready today but it will probably be tomorrow before we can collect it.
Auntie G was well, she's amazing for 95.

Golf for OH later today. GS1 is coming today, as they were away on Tuesday. GS3 is also coming today, but a bit later than usual then is staying the night. His cot is hardly cold from last time

Gemini, you are certainly a hands on GM, your DD’s are lucky to have you so close. My DD snd Sil are very hands on GP’s which is why I am pleased they have four days left in Normandy just with GD4 and her partner.

GD1 and her OH plus H are staying with me until DD gets back on Monday. We have to do a shop to stock up and then we are taking H to gymnastics.

I hope Daisy and the girls are having some sunshine.

Oma, what a bad fall for your MIL, I wonder how long they will keep her in hospital. I wonder if she is leading the staff a dance like she does the family.

Nanto, Certainly keep away from the town. I don’t mind demo’s but not when it leads to violence.
