Hallo everyone, I am not a happy bunny today! I got home from shopping yesterday and whilst closing the garage door the handle came off in my hand! I managed to get it in and hoped that it would last until Monday, it didn't! I went for blackberries, that went well, then took some things down into the garage, closed the door, heard something fall and that was it! I can't open the door! My neighbour had the same problem a few weeks ago, he said to phone but I would hear the same as he did, if I need it repairing before Monday I have to pay the costs, we know what a lock repair charges so I will wait until Monday, the thing is, I have 3 cycles and all 3 are in there plus the car, so I am stuck!!!

I will think about putting one of the cycles in the shed in the future.

DS1 and family are having a really good holiday, they were in Salisbury the other day, now for the last few days in Weymouth and loving it all.

I am pleased you had a good few days away Oma and that you all enjoyed it at the piglet farm Gem.

Nanto, I hope you got your shopping done in Pontefract and that it wasn't too warm to walk round.

It will be an early start for you Plant, I hope the travelling goes well for the family.

Daisy, you will be getting ready for your visitors to arrive.

I have picked all the blackberries I need now, a good thing as I have no bike to get there. My freezer is full and I have made so much jam, I have used all the pots so no more, it will hurt when I see them all hanging though!

I took my neighbour some jam and came home with fresh tomatoes.

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL today (and most of yesterday). It's just been very busy. I didn't take the girls home yesterday until nearly 8 pm as GD1 was using our dining room table to restyle two hoodies into one 'new' one. I got home caught up with a few jobs and went to bed late and very tired. Then woke up at 4 am and was wide awake. Not like me at all. So I got up, made a cup of tea, convinced Eva it wasn't anywhere near breakfast time and did a load of ironing! I went back to bed about 5.30 and was fast asleep when the alarm went off for Sainsbury's this morning. Then the neighbours who are looking after Eva on the day of the funeral came over for coffee and keys, check what to feed her and where her food's kept, tried putting her harness on, and generally made a huge fuss of her.

We then went round to some other friends for a chat and to help them with directions for getting to the funeral and the wake. Then I cut the lawn and trimmed the edges. OH helped me to move some pots round to tidy up a bit. With a couple of phone calls in between the day has just vanished.

Tomorrow is GS1's 21 birthday. Obviously he's not having the party which had been planned, but his mum thought it would be nice for his grandparents to go over and spend some time with him. So that's tomorrow taken care of.

So sorry I'm not keeping up with everyone at the moment - I need 48 hours in the day! xx

Good morning, sun is shining and the washer is nearly finished, so they will go out on the line.

We had good day in Pontefract yesterday, both of us enjoyed it.

Plant, I saw a bit of the Olympic opening ceremony, I thought some of was a bit wacky.

A nice morning ,

yesterday DD walked over with Storm,
When she left she decided to go the long way around through the park.
She hadn’t been gone 5 minutes when the heavens opened and thunder.
She only had shorts on and a thin hoodie,
She said she still had a 20 minute walk and couldn’t have been wetter if she had jumped in a pool fully clothed,
Surprisingly Storm was ok considering he’s not keen on rain.

Im not surprised you were tired , it’s been a stressful emotional few weeks and you have never stopped.
Nice of the next door neighbours to come in and practice putting Eva’s harness on

Lizzie I was telling B about your blackberry spread , he reminded me about a few years ago when he made some and it wasn’t quite Jam ,
He used it as a filling in a chocolate cake,
I had forgotten about that.
What a pain the Garage door situation hope it gets sorted tomorrow.

It sounds as though your DD had an outdoor shower Oma The folding stick is worth buying, they fold up small and you don't have to use it, it's just there if you do.

The holiday park we stayed on just phoned ,
B had left a new pair of Jeans in the wardrobe , they rang to say they have posted them back to us.
B asked if they wanted him to pay the postage by card , they said no it was free of charge , how kind is that.

Been to Asda for them opening it is boiling hot here already , going to be a stuffy day .

Several years ago I left a pair of fairly new linen trousers at Hotel Du Vin in Harrogate. It took me some time to miss them! I phoned the hotel, they had them safe in lost property. We offered to drive over and get them but they.posted them free of charge straight away.

Very hot day!
We have invited a friend who is on her own to spend the afternoon in the garden with us. If it's too hot we can come inside

We didn't buy anything special yesterday,just the usual kind of stuff.

All quiet here, grass cut, borders watered, last clothes in the dryer ready to go in the case. Check list has lots of ticks, departure time is 5.15 am.

Plant, enjoy the holiday, how long are you away for?

I actually went to the gym twice today to get the exercise in, I usually have a bike ride but as I can't I went back this afternoon. It closes at 4pm on a Sunday and they were having a BBQ for all the instructors etc. They have just opened a new restaurant and this was on the terrace.

DS1 phoned this morning, they were going along the coast on an open top bus, they are really having a good time, plus good weather, they will be back home on Tuesday.

I can phone about the garage at 8am, but, there will be some on holiday so I do hope they get it done tomorrow.

Oma, your DD would be wet getting caught in a down pour, I have had that before today, soaked to the skin!

That spread would make a good filling for a chocolate cake, I use it in my quark and yogurt, delicious!

It has been 30 degrees today, warm all this coming week I read.

We had a lovely afternoon in the garden, tea and cake with our friend.
Loving this proper summer weather, we waited long enough for it.
Both DD3 and family and DD and GS1 have been camping this weekend ( separately) all had a lovely time. Perfect weather for it

Hello, everyone. Another busy day for me.

We had a horrible, slow journey to see GS1 for his birthday, but it was ok coming back. He had some lovely presents and it was good to see his other grandparents as well. OH and I are both tired tonight, though.
