I',m a bit too late to say 'good morning'!

I went to pick the girls up and stopped at the wool shop for GD1 to restock her crochet supplies, so didn't get back to our house until quite late. Just about to have lunch, so I'll try and get back online later.

We are home,
Case unpacked , washing in and we have had a cupper.
We did a detour on way home the Chemist had tried to deliver our meds on Monday and I spoke to the driver via the ring door bell ,
Told him we would collect them on the way back today save him another journey.

We had such a good time we are planning going back.

I will try to catch up with all the gossip at some point

Hair cut feeling a bit tidier. Getting close to packing so sorting out clothes. Not looking forward to the 5am start. GD!, her OH and H live with stepfather whilst they are trying to save to buy a home. Stepfather is going, from today, to be looking after his one year old GD as her parents have covid. As we are all going on holiday from Monday, because of that, GD and family have moved back home until we go away. GD is in fact not well with a chesty cold and is in bed. So DD and Sil’s place is now full, no room at the inn.

Daisy, have fun with GD’s. What is the thickness of the wool GD uses?

Gemini, so sorry to read about your poorly car, they are expensive to run. My insurance now is a joke but I would miss my car and I don’t know how long I will be able to use it.

Oma, welcome home, so pleased you enjoyed your break.

Nanto, I love chicken pie there is something very tasty about pastry (I prefer shortcrust) with chicken gravy.

We didn’t have one spot of rain so we got out and about all week ,
Evening were spent lounging outside watching hundreds of baby bunnies,
The grounds were magnificent,

Does GD do a lot of crocheting?

Early starts are not ideal but worth it , when do you go?
Poor GD , she must feel poorly , these bugs going around are dreadful.

I agree corned beef is so versatile, I love corned beef and potato pies, B loves corned beef hash I not keen
Although I love corned beef it doesn’t love me it rifts but that doesn’t stop me eating it 😁

I have just been out and cleaned my wheelie bin,
The household bin , it was emptied on Tuesday and DD brought it into the garden for me but when I went out to put it along side the shed it stank of fish.

I know we hadn’t put anything fishy in it so I’m wondering if next door put her rubbish in mine while it was out .
She didn’t put her bin out last week so it was overflowing when I looked through the ring door bell on Tuesday morning.
Anyway it’s clean again.

Oma, We go very early Monday morning I am going by boat from Poole with DD, Sil in one car and GD2 and her partner are driving my DD’s car. GS1 and his family are going by train and GD1, her OH and H are going by train too. I am coming back with GD1. Our new addition GGS2 has been here today, he is growing fast.

I hate early starts for holidays too Plant. Somehow we have managed to get them for both this year's holidays! I'm sure you will have a good time though.

We had a lovely day at Piglets. It was very hot and sunny. OH and I are shattered! GS may have gone home a little tired too
I didn't get my folding walking stick out until about half an hour before we left, so I did quite well. My back was complaining a lot by then so I was glad to have the stick.

I must admit when we were walking around the grounds when we were away my back was hurting so much I could have done with a stick to lean on
Didnt help although the bed was comfy it was very soft , we used to affirm mattress.

GS went off on a lads holiday yesterday , only came back from Sorrento last Friday with his parents , oh to be young and fit 😁

Going to Aldi get some shopping in and DD coming over with Storm.

A bit dull and overcast at the minute not sure if rain forecast.

GD1 has just been in to use my shower. There are 7 people next door to use 2 showers!

I don’t know if any of you watched the opening of the Olympic Games, I thought it was a bit over the top and went on too long.

Very busy where you are Plant! We saw a small section of the opening ceremony which was quite bizarre!

Oma, yes OH enjoyed it more than she expected! Do you have a folding walking stick? I got mine from Amazon, lots of designs to choose from. I bought it before my knee op. They fold up small so you can just have them in your bag. I often have mine with me and it just stays in the bag, but it's handy for times like yesterday when I need a bit of support as the day goes on.

No plans today. I'm happy to just be at home
I am supposed to be compiling a quiz sheet as fund raiser the library Friends group. I began it some time ago so I think today I will attempt to finish it and do a children's one as well.
