Well Daisy I was told but I have no idea!!! It's something leaking out rather than in though.

OH noticed it kept staining the drive so we booked it in at the garage. They cleaned all the (oil??) from under it and suggested I take back a week later so they could assess where it was coming from.

I did that and they found it. Today was the first day after our holidays we were both free to take it in ( or were until golf reared it's head)

    Night night xxx

Good morning, I went to the circuit training yesterday morning, a man was there that hadn't been for a while, he fell once and banged his rib on the equipment so has been. home a while, he was doing the training, I was following him, he wasn't coping well, it is so humid in there, the last exercise he did he had to sit down and rest, he looked so bad, the instuctor got him to sit down and take a drink, he was getting worse so she got me to go and fetch one of the others, we all waited outside then went for coffee, an ambulance arrived and they did take him to the hospital so I will hear later how he is, the thing is I was thinking of my friend and what she had told me so I was quite shocked for that to happen to the man during the lesson.

Gem, I hope your car isn't too expensive.

Enfys, you do right getting someone in to do the heavy work in the garden,

Plant, I hope you enjoyed the board games, they have them in the centre where I do the coffee, very popular as well.

I got so many blackberries yesterday morning, I hardly had to move to get my bucket full, I came home with 3 kg so made the jam, which isn't jam, it is "fruit spread" as there isn't as much sugar in it as ordinary jam.

A (young) friend is coming for coffee this morning, they were friends of DS2 from cycling and I got to know them, they live in Delft, we had planned to meet up before Covid, that stopped the plan so we have a lot to catch up on!

        Good morning. Cloudy this morning.

Gem, hope the car can be sorted quickly, and not too expensive.

        Lizzie,hope the man is ok.
Wow, so many blackberries. We like them in pies and crumbles with apples.

I haven't got any chicken pies in the freezer, so i've got chicken, leeks and mushrooms in the slow cooker.
I'll probably make the pies tomorow.

Sliced potates, onions and corned beef for dinner.
Took it out of the freezer last night,so just needs microwaving.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

          Good morning everyone.

Lizzie it must have been upsetting to see that man. I hope he's ok.

          Keep enjoying your holiday Oma

Daisy and Lizzie, I think it will be a £400 or thereabouts repair. That's why I decided to not have the air conditioning problem repaired as that would have been a further £500

Little now 2 year old E day. No golf for OH so we will both be here for a change. Frustratingly we can't go far with him as his car seat is in my car, which is still at the garage!

Oma, so pleased you are enjoying your holiday, you should do it more.

Gemini, how worrying about your car and expensive to fix it. Have a lovely time with GS3.

Surprise, surprise, I won two games yesterday, there are lots of board games but every table of 8 were playing Rummycub.

Lizzie love wild blackberries, especially with apples.

Got a rush on this morning will pop back later.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It's raining. So glad I forgot to water the garden last night.

Oma, I'm pleased to hear y ou're enjoying your holiday. I hope it stays dry so you can get out and about if you feel like it.

Plant, well done on your wins at the Board Games yesterday.

Lizzie, I hope that poorly chap is ok. We all have to be more careful when it's hot, don't we, but the humidity plus not having been for a while probably made it worse for him. All those blackberries - delicious. I like the sound of the fruit spread, I bet it's more tasty than blackberry jam. Did you manage to catch up with all your young friend's news this morning?

Gem, frustrating you can't have a big outing with GS3 today, but after all his birthday excitement he'll probably be happy just playing with you and S. In a way something leaking out of the car is better than rain leaking in to it. Probably easier to fix, even though it's not cheap - garage bills never are these days, are they. Does your air con just need regassing? If so you can get kits to do it yourself (or OH!) from Halfords. My GS1 found an even cheaper way of doing it via the internet, but he's a bit of a petrol head and seems to know what he's doing.

Nanto, corned beef can be really useful, can't it. One night recently when I didn't feel like cooking (more so than usual!) I did a quick stir fry and added cubed corned beef in at the end of cooking, and it wouldn't win any prizes, but it was ok and at least OH felt he'd had a "proper" meal with meat.

I've had my hair done this morning - just a trim to tidy it up. The hairdresser arrived with a lovely little tied posy of flowers from her garden. I was very touched.

How thoughtful of the hairdresser Daisy. Most people are lovely I think.

Plant I'm glad the board game afternoons are well attended.
They tried it at the community centre which is attached to the library but there were hardly any takers and they abandoned it after a few weeks. I don't know if not enough advertising was the problem.

I hope you and B have had a good day Oma.

My car cost £480, even more than I expected!
Daisy I had my car aircon regassed recently and it still wasn't working for more than 5 minutes. They had it back in and found the condenser is broken so it will never work for longer than that. They are expensive so that's that for aircon for me, until I need another car!

A friend took OH to collect my car this morning. We decided not to go out anyway. As you said Daisy, GS3 has been busy, and they are going away for 3 days tomorrow. He was very happy to stay here. We spent most of the day outside. The photo is him helping with watering

                        Good evening ladies.

Daisy, i think corned beef is so versatile, can do many things with it.

I cooked some filling in the slow cooker this to make some pies. I'll do them in the morning.

Gem, when it comes to car repairs or any repairs hubby always says pay it and look happy.

We had lovely visitors this afternoon. it was cloudy, but warm enough to sit in the garden.

Gem, what a lovely photo, but he's definitely not a baby anymore, is he. He looks so grown up, and very confident with the hose pipe. I hope he enjoys his little holiday. Ouch, with the garage bill. What a pity about your air con though. It's not fair, as I never use the air con in my car, and you could have it with pleasure if that were possible. I'm lucky enough to have a sun roof and I open that when it's hot. It was kind of my hairdresser to bring flowers. She's a very sweet person and her mum passed away two Christmas's ago with the same thing as DS, and we were both a bit tearful today.

Nanto, my stand-by meal when I was working and arrived home late was nearly always corned beef hash. If it was really very late I'd use instant mach as well. I always kept a couple of tins of corned beef in the cupboard. How lovely to be able to sit in the garden with your visitors this afternoon. It only stopped raining here about 4.30, and then it was cold and windy.

I got some of ironing done today. The weather was too awful to even think about the gardening that needs doing. I went to see the neighbours who are looking after Eva the day of the funeral and had a chat with them, and got a lot of fuss from their dog. Eva was all over me like a suction pump when I got back, obviously wondering why I'd been to see another dog without her.

I portioned up some dog food, ran the sucky up thing round downstairs and cooked dinner. We're having both GDs here tomorrow, which we're looking forward to and GD1 has asked if she can go via the wool shop. I think her stash of wool is going down too fast now she's on holiday from school.

Daisy, yes a sun roof would be a nice alternative
As I neither live in Spain nor drive for a living I can get by without the aircon, but I will miss It on hot days.

I love to think of your crafty ( in the nice way!) GD with her wool.

DD , SIL and GS3 are going camping with 2 other families with a toddler each. I'm sure GS will love it!

                              Good morning. Sun is shining.

A camping holiday is something for DD and family to look forward to.

Not sure what's happening today. GD 2 is planning on visiting, if she doesn't get called into work, they are a bit short handed this week.
DS1 also said he might call in.
If they come and stay for dinner, I'll do 2 of the chicken pies I'm doing this morning.
If they don't come/stay I'll just cook one pie, with mash and vegetables.
Daisy, have a lovely day with both GD's.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2, we haven't had chicken pie for a while, you are making me fancy one

OH, GS2 and I are going to Piglets play park today. He and I go every holidays, he loves it and it's only a couple of miles away. I have taken GD and GS1 many times too over the years. OH has never been with me claiming it is a rip off. It's not, no more than any similar place. Anyway she's free today so I persuaded her. I'm paying anyway!

                                Have a good Friday everyone.
