Thanks WG, I will keep that in mind, I must say it is "almost" healed now.

Yes Nan2, summer 2024 seems to consist of daily rain.
We did get outside with little E for a while this morning. I was glad we did as it was wet by the time he was up from his afternoon nap. It's like a late autumn evening now.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning everyone
I just couldn’t believe how cold it was yesterday, not sure about today just yet as I am still in bed!
My June ‘summer’ attire for yesterday was…. Undies, cami vest, jumper, trousers, socks and a long cardigan and I was still cold .
Tomorrow we are going to Stratford Upon Avon for the day, heavens only knows how many layers of clothing I am going to wear
Wednesday was OH’s regular 4 month appointment at Birmingham University Hospital and now as DS has put his foot down OH no longer travels by train to get there, DIL takes him in the car , well when I say takes him , I usually go along for the ride and this time GD came with us . It was more like a day out than a hospital appointment.
OH was in and out of outpatients in record time so we found a lovely restaurant and had lunch, we then went to a lovely little garden centre just outside Worcester called The Hop Pocket.
Despite proclaiming that I wouldn’t be buying any more plants as we have more than enough….. I came away from the garden centre with 4 plants
Today apart from our Tesco delivery this morning we don’t have any planned
Nan2 we also don’t have a favourite potato for baking potatoes, if they are big enough they are regarded as baking potatoes
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning Lizzie and Mimi and all who follow.
Sunny start to the day. Mind you, that's how yesterday started, but in the afternoon it was just like winter.
Upstairs cleaning for me today.
I think dinner will be potato, swede and carrot mash, cod in breadcrumbs, veg and parsley sauce.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Morning ladies the sun is peeking out but rain forecast by 10 am.
Dog day today so as I’m not going out I was up early and blitzed downstairs ,
I usually do it on a Saturday but I’m decorating the kitchen tomorrow so need to do it today.
B pressure hosed the two paths down the side of the drive yesterday and how it did it I don’t know but my nice clean windows the window cleaner did on Thursday are full of dirty splashes so they will need a clean again.
Lizzie
I remember you going away with GD and it was nice weather , shame it’s not the same this year.
Nanto
If your forecast like ours the sun won’t shine for long 🙄
Mimi

Very sunny this morning but I can’t be fooled, it will probably be cold and raining before long. Some heating is still needed for the evening. I am going into the town to M&S with GD1 and H this afternoon. GD’s glasses need adjusting and I will look at some tops. I had another phone call from someone claiming to be a policeman, just put the phone down. I would like to get rid of my landline but so many of my friends still have landlines.
Oma, perhaps your Mil is coming to understand that you stay longer is she is pleasant but pigs might fly! Did B get a telling off for splashing the windows?
Nanto, I haven’t had swede since my OH died, must put it on my list. My OH. Who came from a farming family called it animal feed.
Mimi, Nice eateries in Birmingham. I can’t resist a garden centre. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning all.
Oma, when OH borrows next door's power washer for the patio the widows need a wash afterwards!
Mimi, it's lovely when you can combine a hospital visit with something nice! When I had the 3 weeks of radiotherapy over in Leeds, we often stopped at a lovely garden centre and cafe on the way home
I had an emergency childcare stint this morning! Next door's baby aged 9 months. Her daddy was away with work and mummy poorly so she messaged me for help. Baby's Grandma lives over an hours drive away so I held the fort until she could get here. She was handed over to me on the doorstep with nothing but luckily here at Gemini's Nursery so were able to look after herShe naturally cried when left but soon was fine. The cat came in with her! She sat on my knee, distracted by Baby Club on i player, water, a snack and some toys. She cried whenever I put her down so I had her on my knee all the time. She was only here for about an hour and a half then her grandma arrived.
GS2 from school as usual then he is staying here overnight.
Very exciting day for GD as she her mum, dad and a friend are going to see Taylor Swift in Liverpool! They are going by train and staying the night in a hotel.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Well I wasn’t happy about the windows but as he took so long doing the path when it’s a bit of a job for him these days I said nothing 😁

Gemini, stop it, I have a fish pie and veg for dinner, now I fancy sausage and mash. I will get some sausages out of the freezer for tomorrow.
We have had rain and sun all day. I am not a football fan but I shall watch the match this evening and cheer for Scotland. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
