We’ve got no internet today! But we’re just leaving to go and see DS1 and DIL. I’ll hope to catch up tonight. Xx

I’m having trouble getting on here again , It’s happened a few times this week.
takes ages to load the page or won’t load at all then when I do get on I can’t go from thread to thread,
Tried re booting lap top but that hasn’t helped , B switched the modem off and re set that still the same .
So if I miss anything please forgive me not replying, Im sure it will sort itself at some point.

MIL was in a ok mood not too many grumbles apart from the weather , so not a bad visit .
We might go out for tea , saves cooking ,
Although I have stood prepping and cooking a batch of Veg for the dog so defeating the object really.

          When is S back?
GS still played in all that rain yesterday they were all soaked but it was a bit of fun .

          Daisy
Hope DS and Family are ok .

            Go out for tea Oma

OH flies sometime tomorrow morning. I think they will be back around 4, probably just before GS2 and I get in from school run.

GS3 and I had half an hour outside this morning but needed jackets.

About ½ an hour after i posted this morning,it rained.
Cloudy now with a cold wind.

This morning turned out busier than i expected.Tidied round while waiting for shopping.
Put most of the shopping away. Then i decided to make cheesy mash for the dinner.
Made extra,so 3 lots are in the freezer.
I but mainly frozen veg,but today i had fresh broccoli in my shopping.
I don't buy it frozen because its all stalks.
Cut off what i wanted for dinner. Then boiled it for a couple of minutes, then blanched it.
Open froze it for an hour or two, bagged up now in the freezer.
Still need to seperate a pack of bacon for freezing, will leave the other pack in the fridge.
2 packs of chucken in breadcrumbs in the fridge, will sort them for freezing in the morning.

Oma, i think you should go out for tea.

                Nanto
I do the same with Bacon , I portion it so I only need to take enough out for a couple of sandwiches or to use in cooking.
I know what you mean about the broccoli that’s why I freeze from fresh ,
Although the bought frozen is ok for the dog he doesn’t mind the stalks 😁

We went out for tea and it was very nice indeed.

There is bedlam on the A1 metro road ,
A huge mining sink hole has appeared , there is road widening going on anyway so causing problems , but they have had to close it down to one lane.
They have to fill it with concrete wait till it sets then re surface so could be a couple of days,

GS is working at the Metro centre and he rang on his way home what should take 20 minutes had taken him 90 minutes and he still wasn’t at the Washington turn off .

Crikey Oma, thats some journey for GS.
Glad you had a nice meal.
                  Theres always road problems somewhere.

Dry for now, might be able to cut the grass this morning.

I need to get some things in the freezer that came in the shopping yesterday.

Pub meal today, so no cooking. Yay.

Hope you had a lovely day Daisy.

                        Good morning everyone.

                        Pub meal, lovely idea Nan2.

Daisy I hope you slept well.

I'm glad I'm not driving near you in the immediate future Oma!

GS3 and I spent quite a lot of time in the garden yesterday, but there was no need for suncream!
I need a couple of things from the little Sainsbury's in the village this morning, and will tidy away all the toys. I had backache last night so needed to rest it all evening. I was going to cut the grass before OH got back but it has been too wet and I'm not setting my back off again doing it this morning!

GS2 from school and here for tea. OH will have lots to tell me about her holiday tonight I'm sure

I began the week by feeling down in the dumps about being by myself, but in fact it's been like a holiday for me in a way! No sport on TV for all this time being the best of all

Dont even try cutting the grass when your back is like that I’m sure S will be happy to do it when she’s back
Having the telly to yourself is a treat isn’t it.
I don’t watch a lot but when B isn’t in I watch stuff he doesn’t like just for the hell of it 🤣🤣

                            Daisy
I Hope DS and family were ok and you got a good nights sleepxx

Hows it going with GD and partner any signs of a house yet?

We have the dog today , he’s having lamb and veg,
I had some diced lamb in the freezer we were not using so he’s getting that with his veg and gravy 😁

Been trying to get through to the Drs all week , my leg is still hurting and my X-ray was clear as I knew it would be as I think it’s knee or ankle related ,
Anyway finally got through appointment on 7th June , lucky to get that so took it and it’s with the Dr I like

It’s bright but damp hopefully no more rain.

Im going to ring my friend Dorothy my SILs mother as his Grandmother died last night so I want to see how James is .
She was 94 and has been in and out of a semi coma for almost two weeks so they knew it was coming but still upsetting for them.

                                I'm back!

Nanto, thank you for the lovely cherry graphic. A day on a tropical beach would be great, but not so sure about the seagull - it might be the same one that's pecked open rubbish bags in our cul de sac which were out for the binmen. . Enjoy your pub meal.

Gem, did GS3 enjoy the sandpit? I bet he slept well after being out in the garden for half the day. Do take care of your back - definitely no lawn mowing at the moment. I hope S has a good journey home and has enjoyed her golfing break. I know what you mean about the tv. My OH mostly watches programmes I have no interest in, which includes sport!!

Oma, glad you enjoyed. your pub meal last night. It makes a nice change, doesn't it. That dog is so spoiled! It feels like an achievement just getting a doctor's appointment these days, doesn't it. It's crazy that there are so few appointments available. I hope they can sort out why your leg is painful. Is it worse when you walk, or when you've been sitting and then get up? Sorry to hear about your SIL's mother. Even though it's expected it's still sad. xx

We had a nice day at DS1 and DIL's yesterday. DS was very tired after the physio had put him through his paces just before we got there, but he can see that it's worth doing. Apart from anything else it helps to keep his circulation going. He and OH watched some of the Post Office inquiry and he kept dozing off. DIL and I sat in the garden for a while, which was lovely.
