    Good morning ladies
Grey dull rainy morning here and forecast to rain all day!

Plant I hope you have better success today with the forum.

Nan2 I have fridge cleaning on my list today. Our shopping came yesterday though so I didn't plan that very well!

Mimi, what a lovely and emotional weekend!

Oma, OH is having a good time. It's not a tournament just a golf holiday for 4 friends. They book 3 golf days at 3 different courses, and transport to and from the courses. Today is their 'free' day.

I'm sure Eva will enjoy her playdate Daisy

Aquafit this morning. I am meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon. She is an ex neighbour from when my DDs were small. We have recently reconnected and this will be the first time of meeting up for many years.

Salmon for my tea tonight. I have quite lot to watch on TV and truly appreciate NO SPORT for 5 days!

Well it’s like a winters day
Ive put the heating on to warm the house , it’s pitch Black and belting down with rain still.

We decided to go to Dalton park retail outlet , firstly to Morrisons then to the Lindt shop.
I ended up getting my winter coat out again , I wasn’t going out in this with a shower Mac on.

Driving there it was full on window wipers,
Some idiot in front was driving fast weaving in and out of lanes and tailgating to bully people out of the way .
He got behind one car who slowed right down and the cars in the other lane did the same so there was no where for him to go ,
        B said I bet he’s fuming 🤣
It’s people like that who cause accidents and walk away unhurt leaving carnage in their wake.

We turned off so didn’t see how far they kept him blocked in but I hope it was a good way.
The roads were flooding not the ideal conditions to be acting like an idiot .

Its just stopped raining. First time since 4.30 this morning.
Oma, we've got the heating on as well. Hubby in his shed fixing something for his pal, but he's got his diesel heater on.
We weren't too keen on the mini fish fillets. I did 3 each, but 2 would have been enough.
I could have sworn they were Birds Eye, but they are Youngs, might have been better if they were Birds Eye.
We won't be having them again.

Hope all goes well/went well for your niece.

Right I am on, just got back from Games afternoon, no wins today. It is cold and wet here, staying put with the heating on.

Oma, sounds like the other motorists taught that impatient driver a lesson.

Gemini, how nice to meet up with an old neighbour, lots to watch up on. I hope S is enjoying her golfing holiday.

                Heating on here too!

I'm glad you are on now Plant.

You will give those a miss next time then Nan2.

Oma there are some idiot drivers about, and near misses.

I had tea with my aquafit friend this morning after the class, then coffee with my ex neighbour friend this afternoon.
We had a lovely long chat and catch up. I think we have more in common now than we did as young mums!

I have put the green garden waste bin out to be collected in the morning, changed into something warmer and now am staying put!

I’m sorry some ladies are having to put the heating on. Here in South Wales it’s cooler than it has been but I certainly don’t need the heating. It always amazes me how the weather can be so different even at a few miles distant let alone a different part of the country. My sister lives in Essex and often says what a wonderful sunny day she’s had whereas it’s been raining all day here.Occasionally it’s vice versa but we definitely get the wet weather more often so a lovely spell is very welcome.

Oma how silly .dangerous and frightening that driver made it for other road users. It’s bad enough driving in rain, not that I drive but I remember how OH used to dislike it.

                  Have a lovely evening.

We are glad that you at least have reasonable weather Clover

I hate driving in the wet and in the dark, and even worse both together!

Sorry ladies, but it's been wall to wall sunshine here in Istanbul! Not looking forward to coming back to UK and the awful weather! Have had a couple of trips yesterday and today which have been interesting, but the city itself is just too busy for me. Very interesting place thoughI was glad to get back to the peace and quiet of my hotel which is outside the city. I was well looked after by the tour guides and the gentleman driving the minibus today. Wouldn't let me take a taxi.....not safe for a lady on her own!! Or maybe it was something to do with me being an older lady on her own, who knows ?

I've booked myself in for a session in the Hammam on Friday, so I should come home very clean and sweet smelling!

I've recently lost about 20lbs so I'm finding most of my clothes are too big! What a problem to have! I find Cotton Traders seem to have made their clothes bigger, so I'm having to go down a size, the same with Lands End. My best buy was a lovely dress from Fat Face in a size 10! Couldn't quite believe it when I tried it on as I'd taken a 10 and a 12 into the changing room! What with my new short haircut I feel and look like a different woman. Even my little Yr 2s commented on the change ! I amy be a little heavier after this break with the baklava and Turkish delight, but what holidays as for to enjoy the food and drink! As they say in Scotland :Back tae auld claes and porridge next week!

Hope all poorly people soon feel better. I'm struggling with a painful hip/buttock at the moment, but have a telephone appointment wit the MuscoloSkelatal Clinic next week so we'll see what they offer in the way of pain relief. Not holding out much hope to be honest!

I'll try and bring some sunshine and warm weather back with me! xx

WeeGranny, yes, please, bring back as much sunshine as you can. Well done on losing weight. Lots of fun now buying a new wardrobe. My DIL1 loves Fat Face (and the White Company) and I've had a few good buys from them. I think sometimes sizing varies with the style - I always need a larger size from Mountain Warehouse because I find the waistlines are always a bit too snug for comfort. A new hair style is a great morale booster, isn't it. I hope you can get some pain relief for your hip/buttock. Is it making it keeping you awake at night?

Turkey sounds interesting - I've never been - but I can understand not liking the noise.

Oma, what an idiot that driver was. Good for those who blocked him in. It's so dangerous when someone tailgates, especially on the motorways. I hope I didn't jinx the weather with my comment about putting your winter coat away.

Gem, you and y our old friend must have had so much to talk about. Has she got grandchildren as well?

Clover, I agree about how different the weather can be. My SIL who lives in North Wales always says how much warmer it is down here on the south coast.

Plant, it's one of those days when you just want to settle down with a good book (or audible) isn't it!

We've had showers on and off all day which has played havoc with OH's work on the patio. As for the gardening - no chance. But Eva benefitted with an extra walk. I did some ironing, portioned up dog food, tidied up a bit, cleaned the kitchen - all fun stuff!!

We're going up to see DS1 and DIL tomorrow - dropping Eva off at DS2's first. I said I'd take lunch to save DIL some work, so I've got to get up super early to cook a chicken and prep potatoes ready for air fryer chips. I've weighed everything out to bake some scones, and put salad ingredients ready as well.

I think our weather forecast looks a bit better than today's - I hope so, anyway.

The sun is shining. Nice to see it.

Daisy, a busy start for you this morning. I bet you are already up and at it.
Have a lovely visit with DS1 and DIL.

                            Nothing exciting happening here.

Shopping being delivered between 9 and 10.

Dinner is homemade corned beef and onion pie, mashed potatoes, veg and gravy.

I will pop back later .

                                Good morning everyone.
Sadly our weather is more like Oma's than Nan2's.

WG, make the most of that sunshine

Daisy my friend has 3 GDs. Two aged 8 and 10 from her DS and a new baby from her stepson. Sadly neither live locally although they have the older girls to stay a lot.

GS3 day today. We have cleaned and refilled the sandpit with new sand so I hope it stays dry so he can play in it!
OH's last full day in Portugal today so I hope its sunny for them.
