      Good morning ladies.

Another bright start here so the washing is on ready for outdoor drying.

You have been doing so much Daisy I think you could do with some relaxing time. Have you got any caravan trips booked?

Oma, it was a sound recording from the baby monitor, but so cute to hear

No plans today. It's a bank holiday so no aqua class.

Good Bank Holiday Mondy morning, everyone.

It's good to see there's some sunshine about. Yesterday went downhill for us and was cold and wet - right back to winter. Fingers crossed for a better day today.

Gem, it's lovely to keep those baby recordings and your GS3 will be fascinated by them when he's older. No, we haven't booked any caravan trips at the moment, but would love to.

Nanto, Steak and chips sound good. My OH would be round to yours in a flash if he could! I need to do towels as well.

Oma, enjoy your shopping. Will it be busier than usual with being a Bank holiday?

We're going to Brownsea Island on Thursday (it's a tiny National Trust/John Lewis island in Poole Harbour). We've been once before and it's such a special place to visit. We're giving friends a lift, and will have to take my car (the car park spaces are too narrow and too short for OH's car), so OH is going to clean it today - it's covered in mud on the outside and dog hair on the inside! I'll get some dog food portioned and some washing done. Not much fun, but necessary.

Daisy, enjoy your trip to Brownsea, I visited some years ago. Lovely to sea red squirrels rather than the pesky grey ones we get. You will also pass those beautiful houses the rich and famous live in.

Oma, Yes I am back to normal, whatever normal is these days. Family will not be back much before midnight. They FaceTimed us yesterday, well really to see H.

Overcast here so not a day for the sunroom. I have some plants to put into pots and a border but I am not too sure about doing that until someone is around in case I fall. I must look for a gardener, doesn’t have to be experienced for what I need doing. The area behind the greenhouse needs someone to use a machete to clear that.

Good morning everyone, I am feeling a little better, I slept 18 out of the 24 hours yesterday.

Gem, it was just yesterday the holiday, back to normal today then ascension day on Thursday so most take a long weekend, that is why the children don't have Easter holidays but May holidays, Kings birthday etc etc, all holidays, then Whitsun 2 weeks today, that is it until Christmas!

Lizzie, it sounds as though you are on the mend, fingers crossed. Sleep is a great healer.

A day out out Thursday will do you good Daisy.

Plant a gardener to help out is a good idea.

Alexa told me there is an extreme weather warning for here this afternoon! Calm with blue skies now, but we shall see. Washing is on the line.

It’s coming in rather dark here and stormy looking ,

It was very quiet in the shopping Mall this morning, not many shops opened before 10am.

I have a lovely white gold ring with a yellow gold Elephant on that matches my Bracelet,
B bought them for me about 25 years ago,
Over time my fingers have become fatter so I’m scared to put the ring on incase it gets stuck,
I can get it on my little finer but it’s a bit loose,

Anyway while we were in the shopping mall I called into the little independent jeweller that is there to see if it could be re sized , It’s 14crt white gold , to take it up half a size so it fits comfortably he wanted Β£110 ,

No way am I paying that kind of money , I came home and ordered some ring pads from Amazon for Β£3.99 to put inside so I can wear it on my little finger .

Gem. you was saying your DD3 was going foraging. Marianne from next door does it all the time!! I called in last week and she had a table full of ????? what she had been out to collect.

This is interesting as well as the money one, this is the digital ID we all must have here. https://www.iamexpat.nl/expat-info/o...id-netherlands. There were a few problems during filling in of the tax rebate forms, a lot of the (older) generation don't know how it all works.

Lizzie DD and SIL3 are heavily into nature and all things natural. The fromage frais he gets from me every Thursday are the nearest GS3 gets to anything sweet apart from fruit! He LOVES them!
They went on a short foraging event once, but there is more to this one, apparently.

Goodness that is a lot of money Oma.

Oma, they know what to charge at jewellers for alterations.

It was a lovely sunny morning, but its cooled down now.
There is a big dark cloud over our house,i would't be surprised if we had a thunderstorm.

Nan2, did you get the thunderstorm? We did but it was short lived and we had got the washing dry and in. The sun came out again for a while. It's looking dark again now so there may be more.
It's lucky DD's birthday gathering was yesterday not today

I'm sorry, but it looks as though we are sending our cold wet weather in everyone else's direction. I didn't bother to do washing in the end - it would have all had to go in the dryer. OH has been trying to clean my car all day and keeps getting rained off. At least he's hoovered it out.

Oma, I guess the price of gold has rocketed, plus time and labour costs, so I'm not surprised at that quote really. I had my wedding ring stretched slightly a few years ago. It's patterned so not feasible to add more gold to it, but stretching it did the job - you couldn't really see any difference. My engagement ring is ok, so far.

Gem I remember our GDs loving fromage frais when they were little! He will be a very healthy little boy, and hopefully not have a sweet tooth. I also used to get Fromage Blanc Battu, which is the consistency of thick yoghurt and chop fresh fruit into it and they loved that as well. Foraging is a big thing round here, but there is a lot of pressure for the Forest not to be over foraged. Several of the top hotels now grow their own vegetables, and things that they used to forage for. I wonder what DD3 and SIL will find.

Lizzie, that was an epic sleep. It must have been what you needed though. Pleased you're feeling more like yourself. xx. The DigiD looks straightforward, and it's helpful that they point out some of the Dutch words too. I can see why you need one - it covers a lot of bases and services.

Plant, we're looking forward to the trip to Brownsea. We are having lunch there and are going up to the top of the castle, which apparently has fantastic views. Fingers crossed for a clear day.

Lizzie, glad you are feeling better, after that loooooong sleep.

Good morning. Not as nice a morning as the last two.

Hubby meeting his pal in town, so I'm going with him, I'll leave them to it, then we'll meet up later.

I want to go to butchers and while I'm in the market Hubby wants me to get some salad stuff. We haven't had any for months, I don't buy it until the weather starts to warm up.

I do believe we are eating out.

                                Good morning everyone.

I hope the weather stays fine for you in town Nan2.

Usual Tuesday here. Library morning and GS1 from school this afternoon. I need to get a couple of things for OH's birthday weekend so will do that after the library.
