Gem, how sad about the friends losing their pets. We've been there,so know how they feel.

    Daisy,hope Eva is better soon.

Mimi, the pain down your leg could be sciatica. I've had it and know how painful it is.

We had a good day in Wakefield, and not seen it so busy for years.
Its the rhubarb festival weekend. We didn't buy any,we have our own in the garden and plenty from last year in the freezer.
I bought a new bag. I'm not one for buying bags unless one has worn out, but i saw it and it caught my eye.
Its not a handbag, more of a shopping bag. I usually buy black ones, bit this is a beige/taupe colour.

Mimi, I'm sorry to hear you're in so much pain, but thank goodness you can get an appointment at the new surgery much quicker than the old one. I wonder if you've been protecting your left hip and now you've put strain on your lower back and the right hip. Are you managing to sleep at night? Typical it raining as soon as the windows have been cleaned!

Plant, with the upheaval of your new garden room and staying at DS's, no wonder you're feeling a bit tired. Thank goodness you found your handbag. Did you find the garage keys and your tablets ok as well? When do your DD and SIL get home? Is GD1 ok now?

Gem, what a shame the weather changing like that when you're going out. It's funny how some people are just naturally noisy. My GD2 never stops talking, but like your GS1 she isn't loud. My DIL1 and both her parents are very noisy. She doesn't talk on full volume, but it's a wonder anything survives in their kitchen - we call her (lovingly, because she is lovely) Mrs Clank.

OH and DS2 did well today. They got the large shrubs out of the ground and started to put the base together. Tomorrow they're hoping to get the base levelled and fixed and put the sides up - not the glass, just the supports. DS is in a hurry to start using it before he runs out of places in the house to grow seedlings!

Eva seems a bit better. She's enjoyed the poached haddock - I divided it into 6 small meals through the day. Tomorrow she's got a big cod fillet, and hopefully after that I can ease her back on to normal food. She's also having live natural yoghurt a couple of times a day.

Good morning. Raining heavily at the moment.

Plant, hope you find the key and tablets.

I think it will be a day of pottering for me.
Don't really like Sundays, never have.

Gem, hope you enjoyed your meal with friends.

I'm doing a full English today, seeing as I didn't do one a few days ago.
        DS1 joining us for dinner.

I need to finish a letter I have started. It's for my friend in Australia. Also sending her a card as she has moved to another address.

          Morning everyone

          Nanto
How nice to actually send a letter, a dying art isn’t it , I would be thrilled to get a letter in the post 🤣
A full English yummy , we don’t have one often but we do enjoy them x

          Mimi
          How are you feeling today?
Did you get any sleep , it does sound like sciatica, very painful xx

          Gem
Did you enjoy your night out , I hope you didn’t get wet ,
at least you would be able to move quicker than you could have a few weeks ago 😁

          Daisy
How is Eva this morning , is her tummy settled?
I bet she has enjoyed her fish and yoghurt, Storm had yoghurt after his fish on Friday mainly to try and disguise his fishy breath 😁

J&DS are making a great start on the greenhouse ,
It will fly up now but the glass placing will be the tricky bit.

          Plant
I hope you found your garage keys,
Im sure your DS & DIL didn’t need a break from you but it was nice of you to think of them.
When are you coming home from theirs?

Washing in floors washed and we going to meet our friends and DD & SIL for coffee this morning as usual,
I have Storms treats in my bag, it’s the first thing he does snuffles in my bag to see what I’ve got for him😁.

My Elderly neighbours house alarm has been going off for about 20 minutes ,
I have been down but no answer , I rang his mobile but he doesn’t always have it on , sometimes they stay at their DSs for the night ,
Hopefully they see the ring door notification and hear the alarm.
B went around the back to check everything looks ok so just the alarm playing silly buggers 😁

Good Sunday morning, everyone. After a lot of rain overnight, the sun is now shining.

Nanto, what a pretty graphic - thank you. Enjoy your pottering. Is there a particular reason why you don't like Sundays? The full English sounds yummy - is there room for one more at the table? I'm sure your friend in Australia will be delighted to receive a letter. I think most of us don't write them much these days - I know I don't. Although I did write a long letter to an old friend and enclosed some photos with her birthday card recently.

I was hoping to do some odd jobs i the garden today, but it's far too wet, so I might just give myself a day off instead!

Eva seems better this morning, and no problems overnight. She's had yoghurt and fish for breakfast and was definitely hungry.

              Oma, our posts crossed.

Enjoy your morning coffee. Dogs always know where to find the treats, don't they! I hope your neighbours' alarm stops soon. The trouble is when they do go off we tend to assume the alarm is faulty, but it's better than there being a break-in.

J and DS2 won't be putting any glass in today. I think getting the base level will take ages, especially with the ground being so soft.

                Good morning everyone.

Lazy start here, watching TV recorded last night.
Now we are on the way to the coast to blow away the cobwebs!

I will catch up and post later

Morning all Just put the washing out and it's raining, typical!

Didn't sleep very well last night, left hip hurt a lot .
Hopefully tomorrow I will get a accurate diagnosis on left hip , its been suggested it's arthritis which wouldn't surprise me . As for the right hip I am hoping it's not arthritis, if it's something that will clear up on it's own eventually I can live with that because arthritis does suggest long term.

No Sunday lunch here for use , we are having pasta. I

Daisy our lawn is saturated after all the rain we have had lately. Thankfully our two boarders are covered with gravel with planters randomly placed and they have daffodils, snowdrops and hyacinths in them .Also tulips are just showing their heads .
On the windowsill in the kitchen I have tumbling tomatoe seeds coming along nicely.

Horrified to hear that another young person (17) has just died due to being stabbed.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I am back home until this evening, DS and Dil are in London today so I am spending time here, will go back for dinner and one more night. Feeling slightly out of sorts, didn’t sleep well and woke up very late. I will watch a bit of television and hope to have a nap. Everything found that I had mislaid.

Mimi, pasta sounds yummy, I quite fancy that. I hope you can get a diagnosis tomorrow and some relief for the pain.

Gemini, I fancy a blow at the coast, enjoy after your two days child minding.

Nanto, Is there room for one more, budge up Daisy. I can’t remember when I had a roast dinner.

Oma, that dog knows you will have some treats for him.

Hallo everyone, it is very dull and wet here. DS1 has just been to fill my shed with items, he says when the garden is finished he will come and sort them out, he will have to or I can't get in the shed.

We had a good meal last night for DIL's birthday, a lucky lady, she got airpods from the girls and a break in Marocco from DS1. She just told me she has got a new job, signing this afternoon and hopes to hand in her notice tomorrow, she will be working from home, less hours and more money. A friend has worked there for 4 years and DIL told her if they ever needed anyone else to let her know, so she did.

Gem, it must be better weather where you are to go to the coast, you would get soaked here.

Oma, I hope you enjoyed your time with your friends.

Had a lovely morning thanks Lizzie,
My DD left Social services after 26 years to work for a private firm , working from home and twice the money.
That was 3 years ago and loves it ,
I hope your DIL enjoys the change .

Daisy, i don't really know why i don't likes Sundays. Even as a little girl(many moons ago) i didn't like them.

Oma, we always send handwritten letters to each other, and i thought a new home card would be nice for her.

Plant, glad you have found the mislaid items.

Nan2 until the internet and emails I was a great letter writer. I loved to send and receive letters. That was replaced by email writing which I was also keen on for some years. Now I find it hard to keep in touch with the few friends I am in email contact with, preferring FB, What'sApp, texts and forums to keep in touch. A sign of the times I suppose.

I hope you get some help at the Dr's tomorrow Mimi.

I hope you feel less out of sorts now Plant.

Good to hear Eva is better Daisy

Lizzie, it was a lovely dry and sunny day here That's why we chose to go to the coast today . Back to rain tomorrow. We tried to go to Hunmanby Gap but the car park was closed due to all the recent rain so we ended up going to Filey.

It was good to get out and have some fresh sea air and sunshine, and an ice cream
I had to walk up and down a long but gradual slope. Hopefully I won't suffer too much for that tomorrow!

Pork joint roasting in the oven. It's rare we do a roast just for the two of us but I really fancied one this weekend.
