Just seen the weather forecast for the week, not looking good at all.

When hubby goes to meet his pal in town tomorrow, I think I'll go and get a few things I need, then hibernate for the rest of the week.

I will do the ironing today.

My Hairdresser coming at 11 to do my friend Dorothy’s hair it will be gone 1 or 2 before she leaves she can talk for England , she’s in the right profession Hairdressing that’s for sure 😁

GS came for tea yesterday he had crispy Duck then he set off back to Leeds,
Wont see him next weekend he’s in Edinburgh with friends for a 21st birthday .

Good Monday morning, everyone. I haven't looked at the weather forecast for the week, but it's dry and dull here at the moment.

Nanto, good morning to Minnie as well. It's a good idea to get your shopping done and then stay snug and warm at home.

Oma, GS sounds as though he's having a great time at Uni. It's lovely that he comes home so often though, and I bet it's not just for the crispy duck. I'll get some photos of the car from OH and post them up. At the moment OH is making the dashboard - literally. He's cut out the wood and all the holes for the instruments and is now covering it is some kind of shiny sparkly film rather than have a varnished dash. They've spent a lot of time doing little things like door mirrors because they couldn't get ones to fit that complied with regulations.

I'm doing housework today.

DD and myself went to the salon last week to get ours cut and coloured ,
but because my friend can’t get in the salon she does her hair at my house .

I got the ironing done today, no idea how i forgot about it yesterday.

Finally got the new freezer organised,and i'm happy with it now.
So no more boring freezer talk from me.

Been wind all day,and it was very dark a couple of hours ago,but it seems to have brightened up a bit now.

We enjoyed the Beatles Experience and our time away. Sometimes a short trip is good. Knee fine but back suffered a lot today .
It feels like Sunday to me! I will have to make sure I don't forget library and school pick up tomorrow

Daisy, The kit car sounds very interesting, surely you could run up some seat covers.

Plant, running up anything more than basic curtains is beyond me. The seats are fine, it's the inside of the doors and the back of the car that need proper upholstery, and it will be done much better by a professional.

Gem, welcome back home. I'm glad you enjoyed the Beatles Experience. Did it include a trip round their old houses, or was it just the Cavern?

Nanto, what a nice feeling freezer sorted, ironing sorted. All good. .

I got quite a lot of housework done today, plus washing which seems to have appeared from nowhere. Just done the Sainsbury's order for tomorrow. We've got visitors for lunch on Thursday so I'll have to do some prep tomorrow - Wednesday is too busy. OH cleaned the rugs in the hall and living room - there were a lot of muddy marks, mainly paw shaped! I wonder who that can be.

The pal that hubby meets on a Tuesday is a bit under the weather.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's still dark here and pretty windy. It doesn't look very promising.

Wet and miserable here and a bit breezy.
No golf for OH which she doesn't mind as it will be very soggy out there.

Library for me this morning and GS1 from school. We may be meeting DD from work to go out for tea, but I need to confirm this.

Daisy you asked about the Beatles Experience. It's in one place. Down quite a lot of steps but on one level once you are down there. There is a reconstruction of The Cavern and another club, and even part of the interior of the plane they went to the States in! There a lot of information and visual about the Beatles and all the different stages of their lives and careers. It's a self guided tour, you given headphones and a little phone like device. You can listen to the commentary for the areas and watch videos. It's very easy to use and you can go back and forth through the sections. It's worth seeing, and of course has the obligatory cafe and gift shop!

Its wet and windy here ,been to Iceland just for a few bits ,
Its cold in that wind , not much else planned see how the day goes , something always crops up doesn’t it .

Shopping all put away, ironing finished, so I'm just having a quick break before I start cooking for our visitors on Thursday. They're coming for coffee and lunch, - 4 of them. One couple live quite a long way away, so we don't see each other as often as we'd like, but we've dropped in on them when we've been away in the caravan a couple of times, so it's time to return the hospitality. I'll make a cake to have with our coffee, and am doing a pot roast of beef for lunch. I'm going to try and make an upside down savoury tart as a starter. We'll see how it goes.

Tomorrow's a busy day, so I'm trying to get organised.

Gem, it would be nice to go out for tea with DD. A chance to have a catch up after your week-end away. It seems so strange that the Cavern has become such an attraction. Back in the day when OH worked there it was very different.

Nanto, I hope your OH's pal is ok. there seem to be a lot of poorly people about.

Daisy, the audio included details of The Cavern and some interviews with people who were teenagers at the time. They all said it was a great night out but smelled bad! Sweat, disinfectant, hot dogs and smoke I think it was! One woman said if you met anyone on the way home they knew you had been to The Cavern by the smell!
What a busy day you are having!

Oma I did 2 hours at the library and my back is sore. I'm afraid of getting that severe sciatica I had last year so am going to be careful now .
I messaged my friend to say I probably won't go to aquafit tomorrow.

DD1 is working from home today. We are still eating out but not in town. This suits me better as there would be walking to and from the bus at both ends if we went to town. I will be able to park fairly close the restaurant.
