Daisy, some photo's! The jacket with the collar I made 10 years ago, I still had some material in the cupboard, although it was a puzzle to cut it out I managed to make the one with the V neck, very pleased with it as well.

Beautiful jackets Lizzie well done , thank you for showing us your talents very impressive 😁👏

Plant it does sound like your anemic , maybe you should ask if they are testing for it ,
Did the nurse take another test ? After your blood loss the last blood test will be different to now ,
Poor you it’s been a right muddle for you hasn’t it ,
Have you had anymore bleeds ? Xxx

Plant I hope you are taking it easy and resting. You probably need at least a phone appointment regarding your meds .

Lizzie, that is so lovely. You are talented!

Storm sounds a lovely houseguest Oma

It can be a nightmare giving medication to pets can't it Daisy ? It's very hard with cats. What a start to your day. It can only get better!

Daisy, our friends are going to New York. Not entirely a holiday though as they are looking after 2 small grandsons ( who live there) for a lot of the time. Then they are off to the Carribbean somewhere for a proper rest They will be gone 3 weeks.

GS and I have been busy drawing, colouring and listening to Lion King music via Alexa. Also watching Tom Gates on TV
We are about to make microwave cupcakes in mugs. We have done this before and it's easy and fun for children as it's pretty instant results!
We did think of going out today but have decided to stay in .

          Lizzie,what gorgeous jackets.

Plant, hope they get you sorted soon.

Hubby emulsioned the back wall in the outhouse, then he put in another double socket.
          Can't have too many sockets.
Then did a second coat on the wall.

Lizzie, Clever lady, I love the fabric.

Practice nurse who took the sample to check if I will be able to have the injection for my bones said it will show up if I am anaemic. I am going to take my iron tablet in the evening as it is better not to take it with tea or coffee, which I do not have after 5 ish. I am feeling a bit low today, hope tomorrow will be a better day.

Plant, being taken to hospital like that must have been such a shock, let alone the physical effects of the blood loss.
It's natural to feel bit low.
I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day xx

Nan2, I agree that there can never be too many sockets.

GD, who was shopping with her friend today walked in in the middle of the afternoon when GS and I were playing a game. DD had texted to let me know but I didn't see the text. It was lovely to see her, but I'm glad we had decided to stay in! Her friend's mum dropped her off, so I imagine she waited to see she could get in though. They have had tea and been collected by daddy.

Lizzie, I love your new jacket. The fabric is so unusual and I think it will look stunning with plain trousers and a nice coloured top. You're very talented.

Nanto, your OH really is a versatile handyman - he seems to be able to tackle any DIY project. What colour have you done the wall?

Plant, no wonder you're feeling low. I hope the blood test gives you some answers, but you've had a loss of blood, a fright and a sleepless night in a hospital corridor. Do you need a complete drug review with a doctor you can really talk to? You need a bit of pampering and looking after. Be kind to yourself. Big hugs. xx

Gem, what a lovely surprise to see your GD like that. She's getting so grown up isn't she! Plus a lovely day with GS2. I hope your friends have a wonderful time on both parts of their holiday.

I feel as though we've been driving round dodging road blocks and floods all day. We took Eva to the vets, but had to make quite a long detour as the main road was at a standstill - still flooded, I think. Her wound is healing well, but the staples need to stay in until Wednesday. We've decided OH will stay here with her until then, and then take her over to DS2 to look after until DS1 is out of hospital. I'll go up on my own to be with the boys on Sunday. We'd just got home when the garage rang to say the car was ready, so another trek, avoiding floods.

Good morning, thank you ladies, the material of the jackets is really nice, that is why I kept the remnant so long in the cupboard!

The rain seems to have gone now, at last, colder from today.

Gem, you would enjoy having the surprise visitor!

Daisy, you will be pleased when all the rain and floods have cleared.

Plant, I do hope that you are feeling better today.

I hope to get to the next village on my bike this morning then to my veg man.

Daisy, when it comes to DIY hubby can do most things. If he's a bit unsure of something, he's a big believer of watching you tube.
He has done the wall white. It was already painted so it's been freshened up.
Can't see him getting anything done today, we are going to Wakefield.

Plant, hope you feel a bit better today.

Hope the floods subside for those of you who are affected.

                          Good morning everyone.

Nan2 YouTube is good for learning how to do many things isn't it? My OH watches many golf tips as well as DIY.

Lizzie I hope our rain will stay away too!

Gosh Daisy, what a lot of driving avoiding floods!
I bet Eva will be more comfortable when the staples come out. I was lucky enough to have a surgeon who doesn't use them , but many on the knee forum have staples and are relieved when they come out.

Today is lovely SIL3's birthday. He has reached the Grand age of 36.
We are all invited to theirs for tea and cake this afternoon .

I hope Plant is feeling OK and Glamma is on the mend, and anyone else who may not be feeling 100%.

Off to see to the cats in a moment then to Dunelm ,

Ive done all the dark wash and got them dry now the bedding from both beds are in ,
No one sleeps in the spare room but I like to freshen the bedding anyway .

B has flipped the mattresses I will give the bedrooms a clean later ,

Plant hope you had a good night and feeling a bit brighter today xxx

Oma, I need to go to Dunelm, I want some hand towels and they seem to be the only place that stocks the colour I want. My OH would tackled most jobs too. Hope the cats are okay.

Nanto enjoy your day in Wakefield.

Daisy, what a performance getting around for you. I suppose the peaty ground doesn’t drain well. I hope Eva’s wound is healing nicely. I don’t think anything will be done about my drugs until the doctor receives a report from the hospital or when they get the result of the blood test I had yesterday.

Gemini, My eldest GS is nearly your Sil’s age. Enjoy your tea and cake.
