Oma, I think you almost expected MIL to send that electric blanket back!

Plant I'm glad to hear little H seems to be getting better.

We got the main Christmas tree up and a few other Christmas bits. We'll do the rest over the next few days.
I coloured my hair and wrapped a couple of presents.
We have watched quite a lot of TV too!

Glamm, I've been thinking of you today. These anniversaries are so sad, and with you not feeling too well anyway it must all seem worse. Sending big hugs.

Gem, I'm glad you have escaped the cold you thought you were getting. Do you do your tree the same every year? Did you hear from DD3 later in the day?

Oma, wouldn't you just have guessed y our MIL wouldn't be happy with the electric blanket. I hope she doesn't grumble if she's cold because I can imagine you telling her why!

I got some washing done and portioned up lots of dog food. I've been shopping online for some stocking fillers for the GCs but haven't found anything. It's hard enough to find things for the girls, but even harder for the boys. I think for them it will be their favourite smellies and something for their cars. Eva was quite tired all day after being with Cooper yesterday, and it was raining, so I didn't take her for a walk. Then tonight she perked up and had a made half hour playing with squeaky toys, tug of war, and scent games. It would have been less exhausting taking her out in the rain!

Good morning. It was very wind last night, but its calmed down now.
Showing you our sunrise this morning.

We weren't very impressed with the Christmas market yesterday.
99% of the stalls were food stalls.
We did get stocked up at the butchers though.
Bought a few other bits while we were out.
Just after we got home, sis in law and hubby came visiting. They stayed for a couple of hours.
Washed a load of darks, hoping to get them out for a couple of hours.

Dinner today will be chicken in breadcrumbs, rosti potatoes, veg and gravy.

          Good morning everyone,

Nan2, we never go to the York Christmas market unless visitors want to go. Same stalls every year and mega crowded. The stalls do look pretty though.

Daisy Eva keeps you on your toes. Portioning food, walkies, games around the house

Today we are going over to auntie G's and going out for Sunday lunch with her. We went to this same country pub together last December and it was very nice, so I decided to book again this year.

            Morning everyone

            Daisy
Yes a walk would have been less of a effort , but I bet Eva enjoyed it 😁
Boys are awful to buy for, GS wanted money for Christmas him Lucie and DD,SIL going to Krakow on I think 3rd January for a few days we wanted him to have a present too so he’s chosen a nice thick jacket and hat he can wear then.
He will obviously know what he is unwrapping but it’s the idea he has something from us to unwrap😁

            Gem
Hope aunty Gladys is well and she enjoys her lunch out

            Nanto
I think all the Christmas markets are rubbish now , as you say all overpriced food stalls ,
            Very little Christmas stuff .

GS girlfriend DD &SIL are going to Leeds market today,
More for a look around and see the lights
They going out for lunch first so we have Storm for the day , DD will drop him off shortly before they head down there.

I Have a light wash in then all the towels will go in after ,
B said I’m breeding towels as every time he looks there are towels in the washer 😁
Its very damp here no rain but damp and dark.

Oma, B is right you always seem to be washing towels. I have managed to find presents for all the GC, I have 6 plus their other halves so a bit of a headache, plus the wrapping. Next year they are all going to get money. Enjoy your day with Storm. H is a lot better today and has eaten breakfast, her mother is going out with DD and friends to Kew this afternoon and evening and she has been a bit of a mummy’s girl lately so I hope she will be happy without her mum there. I am going to have a quiet day writing my cards and watching television.

Daisy, hide and seek with Eva sounds fun

Gemini, have a lovely lunch with your auntie, I am sure she will love your company

Nanto, unexpected visit from family, I am sure the kettle got hot.

                Good Sunday morning, everyone.

It's very wet and very horrible here. Our lawn is like a bog - I'm sure I'll be able to grow watercress there if it doesn't stop raining soon.

I'm going to give our bedroom a good sort out today. I need to tidy out some drawers and throw out some old t-shirts etc. If the rain stops I'll drop everything and take Eva out.

Plant, you've done well to choose so many presents for your family.

Oma, enjoy having Storm. I hope DD and family enjoy their shopping etc. I bet B's right about the towels breeding in your washing machine.

Gem, have a lovely lunch with Auntie G. I hope the weather's not too wet and dreary - everywhere looks better in the sun, doesn't it.

Nanto, what a stunning sunrise. I think you timed it just right to get the maximum effect from it. Beautiful. It's disappointing when a shopping trip isn't what you'd hoped, but at least you got a few bits and pieces.

Good Morning Ladies. It was a hard day yesterday very sad for me and very tearful indeed where do 4 years go so many memories. So it was back into PJs and onto the sofa where I stayed until 6.30 then went off to bed and found a film on Netflix

Today I am just going to have some sandwiches and a M&S trifle and maybe think about some ironing for the big day.

The weather here is awful at the minute rain constantley and the wind is awful it has blown all night.

Stay safe everone lots of love Glamma xxx

A day on the sofa remembering your J a few tears and I bet a few smiles is most likely what you needed to do ❤️

                      Nanto
Just as well you didn’t put the washing out you would have only had to rush out and bring it in again if it’s anything like we are wet and windy .

                      Daisy
Days like this at least let’s you get jobs done you have been putting off 😁

Well done on the shopping front it’s a headache this time of year isn’t it ,

Storm has had tinned Sardines and a fresh salmon fillet I had that I didn’t think would get used in the next few days ,
Then he had plain yogurt with blueberries
Hes now asleep with a full stomach but the fishy smells coming from him are not pleasant 🤣🤣

it’s like nighttime outside and so cold

                        Good late afternoon/early evening

It has rained here all day. Some of the fields on our drive out today looked like reservoirs. The golf club has been closed for days.

Plant money next year is a very good idea. We will remind you!

Lovely to hear from you Glamma. We were all thinking about you yesterday xx

                        What a fishy dog Oma!

We had a very nice lunch with auntie G. The pub serves excellent food and the large conservatory dining room is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Auntie refused to get into the car to come unless we promised to let her pay this time We took her birthday as well as Christmas card. She will be 95 0n 27th!

Off to do a little present wrapping now.

I did the ironing this afternoon then sorted gifts into their bags and wrapped the dogs toys,
Hes getting more that us spoilt boy 😁

I got quite a lot done today, but early afternoon the sun peeped out from all the rain clouds so I took Eva out for a walk. Everywhere was under water - Eva was paddling on the grass verges round our estate.

Oma, you've reminded me I haven't got the doggy presents yet - it's nearly as hard as choosing presents for the GCs! Tinned sardines and a salmon fillet - no wonder Storm has perfumed your house with a fishy smell! He really is spoiled.

Gem, I bet S is fed up with the golf course being too wet to play on. Still, it sounds as though you had a lovely time with Auntie G today. I'm sure she enjoyed it as well, and very kind of her to treat you.

Glamm, there's no easy way to cope with the sad anniversaries. I think you have to just listen to how you feel and I'm sure yesterday you couldn't help reliving the shock and horror of 4 years ago. Sending you love and hugs.

Nanto, it was amazing you could even think about hanging washing out. I would have needed wellies just to get to the washing line, and then nothing would have dried with the constant downpours.

Daisy, you were busy then yesterday.

Easy dinner, thin fries, fish fingers and beans.

Don't forget the advent calendar. Daisy,it must be your turn.

Two weeks today will be Christmas Day!

I'm sure Eva will love whatever doggy present she gets Daisy

Today I am meeting my two ex work colleagues for lunch. This is the first year we haven't gone out for a December evening meal to exchange presents. We are trying lunch this time. Hopefully as it is a Monday it wont be too busy.
This morning I am going to DD3's for a couple of hours. Shes still not feeling too well. I think she wants a bit of adult company as much as anything!
Our new boiler is being installed today.
