    Good December morning everyone.

Nan2, we were just saying we wondered when it would be dry enough to put up the outside lights.

Lizzie, I hate that moment when you think you have lost your phone. Lots of presents there!

Daisy, that has happened to me with an order a few times. Very annoying!

I hope little H is better today Plant.

Did you have a better night Oma?

Last night I slept the longest since my operation! From around 11 until 4! I dozed a little then and woke properly at 6. For the last 11 weeks I have never slept for more than 2 hours at a time. Progress!

Baby GS day today. No golf for OH so he can sleep upstairs in the cot at nap time.
Golf ladies meal out tonight so I shall be cooking salmon for one

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It's raining here.

I'll catch up with posts later - Sainsburys have just arrived. Lizzie, I can see I ordered some things twice by mistake, eg two bottles of different brand bleach! D'oh.

It's lovely Lizzie. You are clever!

I hope Plant has a nice lunch and Daisy gets her shopping put away .

Baby has kept us amused all morning playing, had his lunch so is heading for his nap very soon. Now he has dropped the morning nap he can't go much later than 1 for his afternoon one!

              Enjoy lunch how is H?

              Daisy
when we did online orders during lockdown we often ended up with two or even three of something 😁
              Its easy to do.
I always feel cold when I’m really tired.

              Lizzie
Looks like a lovely celebration ,Hope DIL goes to the Drs.
Blazer is lovely the scarf is a perfect match .

              Gem
At least GS will get a better nap in his cot today , it’s difficult timing how long they can have isn’t it .
You want then to have a nap but not too long that it will be a problem for parents getting them To bed at night .

Good to hear you slept better hopefully it lasts.

              Nanto
Its raining here also , we put ours lights out in November ready to switch on in December ,
Just as well all the snow we have had .
fingers crossed they get a break in the weather to do them.

Been to MILs she wasn’t too bad actually ,
She finally took our advice and bought an Electric blanket , she’s been complaining the bed is cold when she goes to bed and takes ages to get warm with her hot water bottle .

Been shopping came back had lunch then I set too repairing the soft toys Storm decided to murder yesterday.

He has a basket full but has 3 he really loves and plays with.
One he has had 2 years that supposed to be dog proof,
The makers didn’t bank on wolf like teeth ripping into it .
I would just bin them but as I say he loves these.
I have bought him new for Christmas so maybe they will become his favourites until he murders them 😁

I've taken the liberty of doing the advent calendar as its getting a bit late in the day.

Shopping came at 9.30,that all been sorted.

The lights on the tree outside are done.

Plant, hope you enjoyed your lunch out with friends.

Oma, we have an electric blanket, i hate getting into a cold bed.

Good idea to do the Advent calendar Nan2. I think if it's not done by this time of day whoever is around should do it .

Been trying to get her to get one for ages , she's very thin and frail and feels the cold a lot . She likes to read in bed for a hour before she goes to sleep , Bs sister bought her a bed jacket last year she's just now deciding to wear it nightmare getting her to do things .

Had a nice lunch with friends, we only meet once a year, just before Christmas. We used to go swimming together. My sons birthday tomorrow, he will be 63!

H has stopped being sick, GD Face Timed me and she was having a job to wake her up after her afternoon nap, she just wants to sleep.

Oma, I use an under blanket and sometimes put it on again in the night if it is cold. Good luck with your mending.

Lizzie, very impressed with your blazer, is it lined? Love the scarf.

Well, that seems to have been a busy day without achieving much, except getting soaked taking Eva for a walk. She was ok in her nice warm fleece!

Putting the shopping away entailed yet more reorganisation of the new fridge. It's like a 3-D jigsaw until I find the best places for things like bottles and jars. I also spent the best part of an hour trying to work out what to wear for a big Christmas lunch in Bournemouth tomorrow. My one and only winter dress knows its own way to the hotel, so I ended up with black trousers and a lacey grey top. Not very bright and Christmassy, but never mind.

Nanto - that's the story of my life - where does the time go! I hope you caught you with yourself. Did you get the lights up? Thanks for doing the Advent Calendar - as Gem says it's nice to see it up to date. Electric blankets are very comforting, aren't they. I end up putting our jim jams on the bedroom radiator so they're nice and warm to put on.

Lizzie, what a scare thinking you'd thrown your phone out with the rubbish. So glad you found it ok. Your blazer looks lovely - very stylish - and the scarf is perfect with it. Enjoy wearing it. Did DIL phone the doctor? I hope she's ok, especially with your DS being away next week.

Plant, did you enjoy your lunch? You're have quite the social whirl just lately with birthday celebrations, trips to London and lunches. Are all the trees done in your local church yet?

Oma, I can imagine repairing Storm's toys is nearly a full-time job, and they do have their favourites. A couple of weeks ago I sorted out some toys Eva never plays with and put them in a bag to take to the rescue centre. I left the bag on the floor and Eva removed a tug toy she's never touched and played with it every day since. Talk about contrary. . Glad to hear MIL has been ok. Perhaps she'll sleep better with her electric blanket. Is it one you leave on all night? Also does she have bed socks - they help a lot.

Well it's rained solidly all day today. The Council have been and swept the gutters which were full of leaves, but the water still isn't draining away. We have to do across the Forest tomorrow morning to drop Eva off to play with Cooper before going on to Bournemouth. Several roads are closed for various reasons and if there are floods as well it could be interesting!

                            Daisy,
MIL has only just bought the blanket , we offered to put it on but her cleaner is coming on Saturday and she’s changing the bed so will put it on then ,
Yes she has bed socks but wearing them is another thing πŸ™„

Im still up been watching crappy TV bored with that so having a browse on my IPad for 10 minutes then I will try to get some sleep ,

Daisy, yes they got the lights on the tree.

Hubby out this morning for a couple of hours.
When he has gone i'll have a shower. Then i want to mix some pastry to the crumbly stage for the freezer, after getting more flour in yesterdays Asda order.

Just been to the shop/post office to pick up a couple of trifles.
Its a different driver today, and he hasn't been yet.
Will have to pop back later.

Dinner is homemade chips, cod in batter from Captain Birds Eye and mushy peas.

                                Good morning ladies.

                                Nan2 I love trifle.

Oma I hope you got some sleep.

Well done getting the Advent calendar done early Lizzie

Daisy I hope your rain eases off. This is the first day here for a long time without rain ( so far)

GS1 is coming for a couple of hours this morning. He has a teacher training day and his mum has a meeting this morning.
Our hairdresser is due at 1.30.
We are supposed to have the baby overnight as it's DD's work Christmas meal. She wasn't very well yesterday so I'm waiting to hear how she is this morning. If the baby is coming he will be here around 4.30.
