Hello everyone just popping in to have a quick brouse at to what is going on everyone seems busy I am still feeling poorly and tired wonder when I will be feeling better I am not looking forward to Christmas one little bit in fact I am ordering a Xmas Dinner for one from M&S just in case I don't go to DDs which will be such a shame .

I have done all my wrapping and just need my DS1 to get me some decorations down from the loft to brighten up the bungalow for me and get some lights outside for me.

I didn't collect GS1 today as he was a bit poorly so not at school. I used the spare afternoon to make the Christmas cake. A friend called in for a catch up too, so that was nice.

It’s awful feeling poorly for so long , you have no enthusiasm for anything .
Dont rule out Christmas Day with your DD rest up the week before it may be just what you need to cheer you up lv xx

Well doesn’t look like Bs cousin is coming to England now .
We did have things planned but nothing booked thank goodness .
To be honest it was too near Christmas anyway , everyone has things to do , so no bad thing in a way .
Just as well we posted the Christmas card rather than send them back with her.

Aqua this morning then my friend M is coming after lunch for a cuppa and a mince pie (I bought some in M&S at the weekend!)
OH has at last booked a private hearing test at Boots. They want if possible the person you live with to come to the test! So we are going there at 4,

I haven’t bought mince pies yet this year , we have a jar of mince meat in and B uses puff pastry to make a couple of mince puffs when we fancy them, but I do like M&S mince pies and their Christmas cake.

No plans today we have the dog and I’m tired had a bad night .
Im just going to potter with a few jobs and then just laze the rest of the day apart from I will iron the things I have in the wash once they done and dried .

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. We've had a bit of frost this morning, but not too bad.

I'm sorry I didn't catch up last night. It was late when DS and DIL left and I was tired.

Glamm, I'm so sorry you're feeling under the weather still. You're doing the right thing keeping warm and resting. You will get better, and as others have said, don't rule out going to your DDs on Christmas Day.

Oma, oh dear, another bad night. You'll have to take to the bottle! (I am joking). Enjoy a quiet day and some cuddles with Storm. What a pity B's cousin isn't coming over after all - it was a good choice to post their cards.

Jane, I hope you were able to spend some time yesterday with family and friends. Mid-week birthdays are always harder to organise, aren't they.

Lizzie, I hope your 5th December was fun, and it wasn't too cold.

Nanto, what a shame you had to change your plans, but it turned out well in the end with your visitors in the afternoon. A good giggle does you the world of good, doesn't it.

Gem, I hope GS1 is ok today and back in school. I think a lot of the children are getting tired and more susceptible to all the bugs going round. It's a long term for them. Well done on baking your Christmas cake. It's a very satisfying job, isn't it.

We had a lovely but rather hectic day with DS1 and DIL1 yesterday. They arrived mid-morning and I'd made flapjacks and scones to have with coffee/tea. Then OH and DS went over to DS2's to help him with something. They got back just in time to eat lunch before OH had a hygienist appointment. I just did bacon, sausages and eggs for lunch because I thought they'd need something warm after being out in the cold. When OH got back dS helped him sort out some problems with his laptop - he nearly always gets dragged in for tech support when OH has problems.

I did a cottage pie for dinner - I prepared it the day before so it only needed heating through and veggies cooking. It was one of those day when the phone never stopped ringing - all to do with OH's charity work. It's a good job he's got a resident secretary!

Today is the usual Wednesday madness - OH and his car pals busy on the kit car. Dog training for me and Eva.

Well I had a lovely day out with my WI friends, traffic was awful. I realised I had been on this trip before, the coach company arrange it. Fish and chips were good but not the ambience. The coach dropped us and picked us up and then took us on a tour of the lights which I was disappointed with. Nothing much at Harrods and the tree in Trafalgar Square wasn’t lit up yet. Nothing like the lights I have seen before in Oxford Street.

Little H is not very well, suddenly was being sick here yesterday and again when she got home. GD has made a doctors appt. For this morning.

Plant, what a disappointment that the lights weren't very good, plus awful traffic. Poor little H. I do hope she's ok - there are so many nasty bugs going round just now.

Gem, how did S get on at the audiologists?

It's felt very cold today, but everyone I spoke to said what a pleasant day it was. I think I've been tired and I always seem to feel the cold more then. Eva was totally doolally at training today, but I think she was tired after being with Bailey the BC all day yesterday.

I've just spent ages adding things to my Sainsbury's order only to find that the items had gone on to a new order not the part-finished one, so I had to do it all again.

I got all I wanted at TKMaxx, so busy in Den Haag, I hadn't expected it to be, it would be the last minute buying for December 5th.

We had a really good evening, DIL is still not right after the flu she had 3 weeks ago, I do hope she phones the doctor , DS1 is away next week and it would be help if she is feeling better. I got a lovely voucher from GD1 as a present, she is taking me out to lunch. She is earning now from her weekend working and promised me long ago that she would treat me to lunch.
The girls got a lot of make up etc, they must have enough to last the until next December 5th!

I must have been sitting wrong on a chair though, blocking my lymph flow, my leg gave me #### in the night, I was convinced it was DVT!!! I managed to get a stocking on and it helped.

Plant, what a shame the lights were a disappointment, there are so many balconies with lights on in the area , I cycled home from doing the coffee last night and realised how many do the lights on the balcony.

Daisy, how annoying to have to do your order again, I bet you forgot some items!

I had a panic yesterday, I thought I had lost my iPhone!! It is always in my pocket and when I go out I put it in the coat pocket, I was going out, took rubbish to the containers etc, felt in the pocket to put my lip gloss on and realised my phone wasn't there! Came back up here, nowhere to be found, after deciding it had gone with the rubbish I realised I had a fleece on that I had on when I came out of the gym, I had put it in that pocket! Age!

It is foggy here at the moment, it doesn't seem to be freezing but when I came home last night the gritters were out so they must expect a frost. I have just looked out, they were right!

Oma, I hope you have had a better nights sleep.

I have no plans for today so I will see what the weather is like when the fog clears.

Raining this morning.

I never got the chance to catch up here yesterday.Sometimes i don't know where the time goes.

Lizzie,same goes for your DIL.

Its tradition that Bro in law helps hubby put the lights on the tree outside.
They are supposed to be coming sometime today,but its raining.
So, not sure if the tree will get done or not.

Shopping coming between 9 and 10.

I think dinner will be jacket potatoes with cheese and beans.
