Thank you for the card I recently received from you. Strangely I’m finding this year more difficult than last, probably because i’ve got more time on my hands now most of the work has been done on the house and garden. I’m not looking forward to the next few days bringing back memories.
However I am going to Scotland on Saturday to meet my new great great niece who arrived on 11th November. It will be lovely catching up with the family again.
DS will be back for a few days over Christmas, no jetting off for me this year. DD is hosting Christmas Day and then it’s round here for the leftovers on Boxing Day.
I’m busy finishing off our post box topper which will hopefully go up later this week.
    Take care everyone xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WG, Enjoy your trip to Scotland to see your new GGniece. How about a lunch date before Christmas?

WeeGranny, I've been wondering how you are, and sometimes our feelings and memories ambush us, don't they. Safe journey up to Scotland on Saturday to see the new baby. I'm sure having a cuddle will lift your spirits. Babies are good at that. Sending you big hugs as well. At least with all those jobs ticked off on the house you and your DS can relax and enjoy some time together over Christmas, and I bet your DD will have everything organised for a good Christmas Day. I'd love to see a photo of y our post box topper, if possible.

Oma, Storm is such a big softie!

Jane, enjoy tai chi in whatever way you like! I have a friend whose tai chi group she goes to treats it like a solemn ceremony of some kind and she says she ends up getting annoyed that they take it so seriously.

Gem, you did very well to do 2 hours at the library, and got all those jobs done. You certainly earned your bubble bath this afternoon. Enjoy your evening out.

Lizzie, the voting sounds very stressful. How is it going - do you think the improvements will get the go ahead? Did you finish your blazer? (Sorry if I've missed that somewhere)

Nanto, I hope. you had a quieter day today, and the biscuit tin hasn't take such a hammering!

Plant, you did well to get out in the courtyard. It sounds very sheltered. How is your throat now?

Daisy, no way will they get enough votes so we will have to see what happens. What annoys me (us) is with the man (group) spreading the negative tales, they have done so much damage.

I have finished the blazer, just 2 buttonholes to do, I hope to get them done tomorrow.

It has been a quieter day here today, although we do like having company.

Gem, glad you enjoyed the library.

Plant, we get robins visiting, especially when meal worms are on the menu.

Daisy, poor Eva,getting disturbed by opening the new fridge/freezer doors.

Lizzie, well done on finishing the blazer.

WeeGranny, lovely to hear from you.

Lizzie, it must be very frustrating to have all that negativity, but as the saying goes "there's none so blind as will not see'. Nearly there with your blazer, so that's a positive. x

Nanto, I'm sure you were ready for a more peaceful day today. Robins are so bold, aren't they. We've got one who seems to appear whenever the bird feeders are being topped up!

Oma, with a bit of luck, you'll be out making a snowman tomorrow morning.

So awake at 3 this morning! Why is it that everything seems so much worse at night?

Good morning. By heck its a cold one. Jack Frost is out and about.
Oma, i'd appreciate it if you didn't send any snow our way.

No plans for today. Filled the slow cooker up with meat and veg, making some beef stews for the freezer.
Diner today,is mash, sausage, onion rings, peas and sweetcorn with gravy.

                        Good morning ladies

Nan2, winter is definitely here. I agree we don't want Oma's snow.

WG, the break will do you good, especially when it involves a new baby. I know this must be a difficult time of year for you.

Jane everything seems bleaker at night. I hope you feel better this morning xx

I'm so tired. We watched recorded TV once we got back from our friends last night and didn't get to bed until 1. I slept fitfully (my knee I think paying me back for going back to the library) I have been awake since before 5.
Aquafit for me this morning. Coffee at the pool with my friends afterwards and I will pop into M&S food hall. After lunch I intend to go back to bed!

                          Good Wednesday morning everyone.

Gem, perhaps your 2 hour stint at the library took more out of you than you realised. Aquafit, coffee and an afternoon siesta sound a good idea. Take care.

Nanto, that beef stew sounds perfect for this cold weather. Thank you for the pretty graphic.

Jane, I agree, everything seems worse when you can't sleep. Have you got any little treats lined up for you and M today to cheer you up a bit?

Unusual for me, but I didn't sleep very well either. I woke with my right arm hurting and couldn't get back to sleep. I've had trouble with it before, and I think I've wrenched it loading bags of compost into the trolley at the garden centre yesterday. It seemed easy enough to do at the time!

Today is our usual Wednesday chaos. OH has 3 car chums coming for the day. They will spend most of the time in the garage, and the car is certainly making progress, but we still have no sink (or dishwasher) in the kitchen, so everything takes a bit more juggling to use the utility room, and there's hardly any work surface there. I'll leave what I can ready for lunch before going to dog training.

Daisy it is unusual for you to have a bad night. Try to take it easy today.

As I said to the librarian yesterday, my consultants advice is If in doubt as to how much you can do, do more. He however doesn't have to live with the aftermath!

Gem, I'm sure your consultant knows what they're talking about, but as you say you are the one who ends up with a sleepless night. But I really think you have made a fantastic recovery so you must be doing things right. x

New cleaner here at the moment, she has stripped and made the bed and is now cleaning my bathroom, I shall have a shower and get dressed when she has gone. Throat was not good in the night, I will skip board games today, I don’t want to spread this virus to friends and am not feeling great. Will pop back later when cleaner has gone
