    Good morning everyone.

    Lovely picture Nan2

Daisy although it's a shame when people can't go, sometimes you gave better chats with smaller groups. We have found that with GransRus get togethers !

GS2 and GD school pick up this afternoon. I will see how this goes and if the length of drive is too long for me we may have to rethink it for a while. DD and SIL2 are going for a much needed early evening date-meal after work and picking up the children from us a bit later than usual. We are going to order in pizza for the four of us. We have an excellent pizza takeaway in the village.

On my way soon to GD1, DD has Covid so she can’t come up here. We were with DD yesterday, hope we don’t get Covid.

Good Friday morning, everyone. The sun's shining, between showers.

Nanto, what an idyllic scene for us this morning. Thank you. x I hope your washing dries ok.

Gem and Nanto, you're right about smaller groups. The friend who organises us is having a really tough time at the moment, and with such a small group the other friend and I felt we had more time to try and help her with some practical problems. She's a lovely lady and very capable, but is feeling overwhelmed with everything, and I think it helped a bit to be able to talk through things.

Gem, I hope the school run is better than your journey for GS1 the other day. Pizza for 4 sounds just the job, and I bet both GD and GS2 will love eating with you and S. I hope everything is going well for GD this term.

Plant, I'm sorry to hear your DD has Covid, and I hope you don't get it as well. I'm sure GD1 will be pleased to see you.

We've had our usual Friday morning rush of Sainsbury's delivery and sorting out and putting out the bins. We're now waiting for ... (roll of drums, please) ... our new tumble drier to arrive! Our old one had reached the stage where it was struggling to tumble and not drying very well. So it's going to the great electrical recycling heaven, courtesy of John Lewis, and the space is all nice and clean ready to welcome the new one! The only downside, I'll have to catch up with the washing I've been putting off for a week.

I've got a night off from cooking as OH is out tonight, and I'll have a salad.

          Nanto
Lovely graphic wish it was as warm as it looks on there.

          Had a busy morning ,
I did my housework and then two loads of washing plus hand washed a couple of bras.

We then went to our farm shop Butchers and spent a fair bit but the freezer is stocked now
Also went into the on site fruiters for cooking apples and lemons .

From there popped to Farmfoods they had the large jars of Nescafé coffee on 2 for £11

Will need to iron later but at the minute I’m trying to get warm , I feel really cold today I think I’m getting soft 😁

Plant, hope you don't get covid.

I only had a couple of dark items in the wash,so i washed a load of lights instead.
Had them out for a couple of hours in the sunshine and slight breeze.

Oma, we stocked up at the farm shop a couple of weeks ago.
Then i got some more from the butchers last week when we were in town.
I shouldn't need to buy anymore meat until after Christmas.

I have just spoke to Glamm
She is still really poorly sleeping a lot and feels awful,
Her children have been really good with her but with COVID and Pneumonia it’s taking its toll .
She doesn’t feel up to posting yet , I told her to concentrate on getting well and not to worry about that .
Isent our love and best wishes xx

We miss her but the last thing she needs to worry about is posting here. Thanks for updating us Oma.

I went to a local garden centre with GD1 her OH and H for lunch and bought some pansies. GD ankle still swollen and bruised and she is still on crutches. Now DD has Covid GD can’t get support from them. Don’t like mixing to much myself in case I come down with Covid.

I think we are forecast some fine days to come, it was so cold today.

Daisy, I hope your new tumble dryer arrived, I expect it will be put to work straight away.

Oma, so pleased your Mil was in a good mood today, I wonder what changes her mood.

Gemini, I hope you haven’t taken on too much too soon. As good as the children are it is still tiring. How did the driving go.

Plant , the drive was actually fine, as was the walk to school with GD, and one stick.
We have just finished our pizzas and are full

Hallo everyone, we have had rain again most of the day, I got caught in one #### of a shower yesterday afternoon, I only had a short jacket on as I wasn't going far, it was far enough to get soaked, the jacket was waterproof but the jeans etc not! I have GD2 here at the moment and she was saying she got caught in the same shower and was drenched to the skin!

We have been into Den Haag this afternoon, she decided she couldn't see anything she liked at TKMaxx, but, she did have her eye on a hoodie in a sport shop, so, she is now wearing her Christmas present. Well , not really as I don't do Christmas presents.

Oma, at least your MIL has her good days with you both!

Daisy, a new tumble drier! You will be able to get through all the washing (drying) in no time now. I have taken one pair of my support tights to my therapist for her to put in her tumble drier, it is strange as one pair is larger then the other, this way they should shrink.

Poor Glamma, I expect it will take a while for her to fully recover.

Plant, I hope your DD is soon feeling better and that you don't get the dreaded virus.

Plant, stay safe, we don't want you getting poorly as well. It seems everyone is feeling under the weather at the moment - lots of heavy colds around here, and it's only November. Poor GD - her ankle sounds very painful. Has she had it checked - she hasn't broken any bones, I hope.

Poor Glamm, she really does sound poorly. I hope she gets her appetite back soon because that will give her more energy. It becomes a viscous circle, doesn't it - too tired to cook or even think about food, no appetite and no energy.

Lizzie, it's hard to dodge the showers at the moment, and you must be fed up with getting wet.

Gem, glad the school runs went better than you expected, although I'm sure you were ready to have a nap by the time you'd finished tea. Sleep well. xx

Nanto, sunshine and a slight breeze sounds bliss for drying your washing.

Oma, it's a nice feeling when the freezer is fully stocked, isn't it. Unfortunately, ours is stocked with dog food!

It's been a hectic day! I had a lot of phone calls and Whats App messages - the family bush telegraph was going flat out. Just before the dryer was due to be delivered I noticed a neighbour (I hesitate to call her elderly, as we are exactly the same age!) barrowing logs from the pavement round to the back of their house. I know her OH isn't in the best health, so my OH went round with our barrow to give her a hand. While he was there the new dryer arrived. The delivery people were really quick and efficient, but by then it was well past lunch-time. I made us some lunch and then cut OH's hair - this isn't a big job as he hasn't got much, but for some reason he's nervous when I've got scissors in my hands! I don't know why - I've been cutting his hair for 50+ years and he's still got two ears!! Anyway, I take my time and no blood was spilt. Then I took Eva out for a walk. By this time it felt as though it was going dark and I was back home by 4.30.

I was looking forward to a quiet relaxing evening, but some idiot was 5 days too late for fireworks, but that didn't stop them. Poor Eva was terrified, so I've spent the evening trying to calm her. The trouble is, like all frightened animals I expect, she doesn't calm down as soon as the fireworks stop - she's still shaking for several hours afterwards.

Oh Daisy, I hope Eva is OK now.
                              Glad the new drier arrived.
Good of OH to help your neighbour.

We are going to Wakefield today, so we will be eating out.

                                Good morning everyone.

Daisy I hope you get a quieter day today!

                                Enjoy eating out Nan2.

OH and I both have GS3's cold. We started with it yesterday and had very bad nights with sore throats.
We are supposed to be eating out with a group of friends tonight.
