Autumn has definitely arrived here today, rain and lots of wind. I have been to WI this morning and board games this afternoon.

I hope Nanto has found some sunshine.

Gemini, well done, it must be nice to be mobile again. I hope the film was good. I do miss not going to the cinema since my friend died.

My cleaning lady works for an agency and it is up to her boss to tell her it is okay for her to come every other week. My home is positively shining, I have to tell her to slow down.

OH is going to another funeral for a golf lady this afternoon.
I am going to drive round to the library. A toy I have reserved for baby GS is there, and I will chat to the staff and have a cuppa in the cafe.

Good Thursday morning, everyone.

We've overslept this morning - I didn't wake until just before 9 am. The sun's shining and it's much warmer today, although rain is forecast for later.

No specific plans, but plenty of chores to be done round the house unfortunately!

Gem, what sweet little kitties in your graphic. Poor OH - she seems to have been to several funerals recently. How long can you borrow library toys for? It sounds a good idea as little ones' interests change so quickly, or to see how much they would like a particular toy before buying it.

We can borrow toys for 3 weeks, but you can renew them for another 3 weeks unless someone else has reserved it. You reserve online.

Good morning, I have just managed to post the photo's, 18 years young today, it is 22 years ago today that my DH died.

GD1 has just phoned me, they are on their way to Whitby, they will be shattered by the time they get home.

It is warmer today than yesterday, rain is forecast but very sunny at the moment.

Gem, they have a "toy and games library" here in the village at our library, it always seems to be busy.

Glamm is having iPad problems , a man she knows is coming today to fix it , so she hopes to get on later.

Its wet and dark here it’s horrible.
During night it was fierce.

MIL was ok a few moans but nothing much, so a pleasant visit.

I think Toy lending library’s are great , little ones get board very quickly with toys so a new one that you haven’t had to buy every few weeks is a bonus ,
Enjoy your drive and coffee but don’t push yourself too much xx

Gem, the toy library sounds great, and 3 weeks is a generous loan time, especially if you can renew if it's not booked out to someone else.

Glamm, I'm sorry to hear you're having iPad problems. It looked very good and all the latest versions when we saw in in Birmingham. Is your laptop ok?

Oma, what a dismal day you're having. We've now had rain, but it's still quite bright. No point in trying to put washing out though! MIL is doing well - two weeks without a major moan to you and B. Has she made up with SIL yet?

Lovely pics Lizzie of your family, I hope they are enjoying their holiday. I have just watched the weather forecast and it looked very bad for Scotland so I hope they are not going near there tomorrow.

Oma, I am pleased Mil was well behaved again, perhaps the message has dropped that you stay longer but pigs might fly.

Daisy, I slept in too so had a late start.

I had a surprise visit from my no.4 the youngest GS last evening. He was driving nearby and phoned me to check if I was okay for a visit, he stayed for a couple of hours. He is very busy repairing bikes before he goes on holiday at the weekend. We had a very meaning conversation about family and what it means to us, we had very different views. He and his brother (the one you met) are like chalk and cheese and unfortunately not very close. I had a very busy day yesterday so am taking things easy today.

some siblings just don’t get on ,
My two are like chalk and cheese and B isn’t keen on either of his sisters ,
he’s polite to them but wouldn’t worry if he never saw them again .
I on the other hand loved all my siblings and I’m still close to the only one left .

My other 4 G.C, my DD and Sil ‘s children are all very close but very different personalities. I used to look after the other two brothers and they were always fighting, the youngest wouldn’t accept he was the youngest in the pecking order. I don’t think they will ever be close but I hope they would always be there for each other if needed.

Just had a lovely afternoon GS turned up unexpectedly, didn’t know he was coming home 😁

Glamms DD text me , Glam hasn’t installed GRU on her iPad yet and not sure how to do it so I think when she goes to visit her DD will install it
Glam had messaged me and I replied but she wasn’t sure how to retrieve the message 😁
