Thar certainly was a busy day Lizzie. Have you heard anything about what happened at the roundabout.

A very big 'thank. you' to all of you for your kind thoughts and good wishes. Please forgive me for not replying to individual pots for the last couple of days but life has been full on and it's been impossible to get some time to myself.
I'll write elsewhere about my week so far, rather than clutter up our Chat thread."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Nanto and Oma, the accidents on the roundabouts are a daily thing, as I said, cyclists have right of way, I always make sure they know I am there, some cyclists just go without even looking! When driving a car we have to be so wary as, especially the fast bikes, just appear from nowhere.

Good morning.
Daisy, nice to see you popping in. We all know how busy it has been for you.
Hope Plant is okay. One of our new neighbours has got it, and she's really poorly with it.
We are eating out today at the pub with sis in law and her hubby.
Then we are going to visit GD1, to take her birthday presents for tomorrow.
Not sure what the weather forecast is, but i can see what looks like rain clouds.
Lizzie, please take care if you use the roundabout where the accident was.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone.
Poor Plant I hope she's soon feeling better xx
Just take your time catching up Daisy.
Have a nice pub meal Nan2.
Stay safe Lizzie. The whole idea of cycling in traffic terrifies me, and on roundabouts even more so.
I see the physio tomorrow. I think generally here we are left to get on with exercises by ourselves with sheets of exercises or videos.
DD and GS1 are coming after school. Not sure if there will be any other visitors. OH will be at home today so I won't have to fend myself!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good Thursday morning everyone.
Lizzie, I had to smile at your comment about there being a lot of police about for a cyclist, but glad there were no injuries. I thought cycling in The Netherlands would be all calm and safe, but it seems not. I think you have more cycle paths than we have but otherwise it sounds like it's every man or woman for themselves on the roads.
Gem, I hope with S being home today you will get spoilt with regular coffees, meals fit for a banquet and delicious treats. It's lovely to have visitors as well and I bet GS1 will be pleased to see you looking better than last week. Is the swelling still going down?
Nanto, enjoy your meal at the pub, and the company, of course. How old will our GD1 be tomorrow? I hope she's got a nice day planned.
OH had an eye appointment this morning. It was at 8.30 and we got back home about 10 o'clock, which was great. The roads were deserted for once - such a treat, especially after several horrendous long journeys this week. I'd just settled him down with a cup of coffee when a friend arrived, so I've left them chatting.
Plant, I'm wondering how you are today. I hope you're not too poorly and it isn't Covid. Take care, dear - sending hugs. xx

Daisy, we do have a lot of cycle paths, some, unfortunately, go through busy towns and villages, in fact, the one going through our village I find very dangerous, they re-constructed the road a few years ago, made the actual road very narrow, if you are cycling along and a huge lorry passes you really don't feel safe! Then the fact there is no way help vehicles, ambulance etc can get through when it is busy.

Afternoon ladies
Plant did two COVID tests both negative but I said that could change today so maybe if she’s still the same do another.
Daisy
Poor J but at least it was quick , are you unpacked and sorted yet , when do your guests arrive , is it tomorrow ?
Nanto
Enjoy lunch out , hope GD likes her present when you go ,
Gem
Nice to have S home , I know she has been leaving stuff for you but not the same as having her company is it 😁
Lizzie
Cyclists scare the life out of me especially now they can ride down the middle of the road and two a breast here.
I think our roads are two dangerous here for that ,
Been to MILs same old moans ,
ended up taking a Cardigan back she bought last week decided she doesn’t like it now.🙄
re made her bed as she didn’t like how her cleaner had put the duvet cover on ,it was fine but did it anyway.
Then I had to measure her bedroom curtains as she fancies new ones , I told her to get his Sister to buy them I wasn’t having anything to do with that malarkey.
Got my flu jab at 2.15 , my arm is sore off the COVID one yesterday but I will have the flu jab in that one keep all the soreness in one arm 😁.
Im not fat just 6ft too small

DD1 called to see us ( with flowers and cookies!) on her lunch break. She's taking GS swimming after school so I will see him another day .
Daisy there is still a lot of swelling. I think it's to be expected for a while but I'll see what they say tomorrow .
I'm glad the hospital journey went well.
You are getting well jabbed this week Oma!
Yes it's good to have the company. Also even though I have to keep getting up to exercise the knee, it's nice to not have get up for everything.

OH dear, I am sorry I have got you worried, it isn’t Covid, done two tests. It is some sort of a virus, not feeling great. I have had to cancel my Covid jab and lunch tomorrow. I told GD not to call in today, a) I don’t feel up to visitors and b) I don’t want to give it to them. My DD and Sil are coming back from Spain tomorrow, Sil hasn’t been well, sounds like he has the same Virus. I don’t see any point in taking any more Covid tests, if it is nothing much I can do. Having had Covid twice this feel more like flu. I am reading your posts but sorry I don’t feel chatty. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
