Isn’t it nice watching the little ones playing safely
Did your Physio go well , how’s the rash now x

    Daisy
I didn’t buy anything apart from a pack of socks in Matalan ,
The clothes are quite dull at the minute and the dresses are made for women who are 6ft tall 🙄

The socks I bought were with soft tops , I find ordinary socks cut into my legs and ankles or should I call them Kankles 🤪
Enjoy your wine and book xx
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Yesterday I went to look at some work being done on a garden round the corner from me. I had to deliver some ideas for a flyer for a Christmas concert to one of the Ladies Group committee so I was killing two birds with one stone. Anyway, there were lads laying a drive and I asked if J was there as he'd said to come round and take a look at the garden. J wasn't there, but the bloke opened the back gate, said there was no one in and round I went. I thought it looked a bit too established, but had a look and said thanks as I left . Deliverd my flyers, saw another house with cement mixer etc outside it bt there was no sign of life, so went home. Got text from J asking when I was coming round, realised I should have gone to second house, so back I went! The garden is really lovely and the finish of the work is very professional, so I'm going to go with him. They all thought it was hilarious about me going to the wrong house! The first garden was very impressive too and I quite fancy a pergola now!

Today, I took stuff to the charity shop, went to the weekly coffee morning and treated myself to a Waitrose shop! They've started doing free coffee again, so I had my reusable cup with me only to find the coffee machine was being cleaned!

GS is at a party in the village and he's staying the night. He gets more grown up looking every time I see him! We're going to the driving range after his football tomorrow and then he's got to do revision for his mock GCSEs in a couple of weeks.

      Hope everyone is wellxx

Oma, you know how to live - buying socks! Wow.

WeeGranny, It sounds as though people are very busy having their gardens done round your way. A pergola would be lovely. Good luck to your GS for his mock GCSEs.

Plant, I bet you enjoyed watching H having fun in the soft play just as much as H enjoyed the activity. How did the physio go?

Good morning, it is very foggy at the moment. Update, the sun is out!

WG, have you got a large garden? Will you be able to care for it yourself when it is all finished? I see so many here have garden architects etc regular, a friend of mine is (was) a garden architect, they are both elderly and have a huge garden on the water in Delft, she still does a lot of work herself but has someone help her now with the heavy work.

Oma, you did well at the funding. You will be pleased with your soft topped socks, with my legs, even with support tights on, I have to have soft top socks.

I heard the other day that the lady that used to live under me has died, she went into a home last year, she wasn't too good at the time. She would be in her early 80's. She was a cousin of my ex hubby.

I am sat here singing along to the old records with Tony Blackburn, I can remember them word for word, I wouldn't even know what popular music it today! At the gym all I seem to hear is the same boom!!!

I am pleased your drive is clear now Gem.

Good morning Lizzie and all who follow. Sad about your neighbour.

Not much happening today for us. Only doing supermarket shopping today.

              Gem,glad the bag has gone.

                Good morning ladies.

                Cute graphic Nan2

Lizzie, we listen to Gold Radio when we are playing Scrabble etc, and it is all 5o's 60's and 70's music. I sing along a lot and as you say the words from back then are easy to remember!

Golf for OH today. I have a birthday card to drop off for my mum's friend, 94 on Sunday.
This evening we are going out to a meal and talk. The talk is by one of OH's ex colleagues. He tells anecdotes in old Yorkshire dialect, he is very funny. It's years since we have been to one of these, so are going with one of our friends whose parent's farm is near the venue. We will call in to see her parents too.

                Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good Saturday morning everyone. The sun is shining here, as well, Lizzie.

Gem, I' pleased to hear baby E is feeling better. Hopefully his mummy will soon be better as well. The talk sound very interesting and good fun, Gem. Can you understand his dialect? It's sad that a lot of old dialects are disappearing as populations move round and everyone is exposed to so much 'neutral' speech. It should be a lovely evening, seeing friends as well - and no cooking!

Lizzie, sad to hear about your neighbour. Like Gem, I listen to Gold Radio as well - usually in the car or when I'm cooking. It's funny how you can recognise a song you haven't heard for years when you hear just the first few notes!

Nanto, what a lovely graphic to start the week-end. Enjoy your shopping. Does that include lunch out as well?

I'm keen to get on with jobs in the garden today. The sun is out, and hopefully will stay out. Lots to do and OH has said he'll help. I think I'd better make a list.

Happy gardening Daisy, but don't over do it!

I cant always understand the dialect Daisy! OH does better as she grew up and worked in a more rural area.

Oma, we were here, luckily it didn't take long as I needed to get out to do the school runs. It was a big hoist affair to lift the bag.
OH chatted to him and said he was a nice man. It seems he wasn't the man who was supposed to have collected this two weeks ago , but someone else.

Good Saturday Morning Ladies, I've caught up with everyone's latest news everyone so busy.
Its been a funny old week here to be honest, my friend came to stay on Tuesday and we have spent the week visiting charity shops on The Wirral getting some nice little bargains on the way my friend collects small cat figures and she found 3 that she loved and I found a rainmac that folds up into a small bag to keep in my car it is brand new from M&S, we enjoyed afternoons having coffee & cake and on 2 days had takeaway for our evening meal so we where very lazy as regards to cooking.

My boy has been in and out all week it is so good to see him getting back to his old self he has joined the gym and is going every morning when he finishes his night shift so he has no problems getting off to sleep.

This morning my GGCs are popping in on their way to my DDs they will spend the day at her house then DDs partner will bring them home when DD leaves for work at 5pm -10pm she has the late shifts 4 x this week so at least she can see them for a good while.

Oma the craft fair sounds lovely I enjoy going to them so many cute handmade gifts are always available I am going to one at the homeless shelter next month to raise money for xmas dinner for the people who are on their own over xmas.

We are still having problems with the BB,Openreach van has been in the Road most of the week just don't know what the problem is there is no problem with the phone line just the broadband for some daft reason !!

Must get off now I'm off to meet my friend for a coffee and a chat to catch up on gossip.

                          Bye for now Glamma xx

Good to read your update Glamma. You are a busy lady

It's unseasonably warm and sunny for November. I have washing on the line.
I wasted half an hour on the phone to Avanti travel insurance (I will post on a separate thread) I then drove a couple of miles to drop off the birthday card from my mum to her best friend.
Time for lunch and to watch Bargain Hunt now, back later!

Gemin, Good news about the bag going. Pleased to hear the babe is a bit better, hope DD will be soon. I love dialects and local accents, sadly the lovely Bucks accent is almost gone from here.

Oma, Will be good if you can get that root out soon.

Glamm, so pleased your DS is getting his life sorted, good idea to go to the Gym. Some good bargains in our local charity shop, I mainly buy cut glass, people don’t want it so I get some lovely pieces.

I have done my shop at Waitrose, one of these days WG we shall bump into each other again. Will not be long before you get your place as you want it. Enjoy your time with GS.

Must look out for Gold radio, I love to sing along.
