    We have had rain overnight.

Gem, lovely photo of E. He looks very alert.

Hubby will be out this morning,so i'll be able to crack on for a couple of hours.

Oma, last time our window cleaner came,it rained as soon as he had finished.

Good morning, a lovely photo Gem.xx

GD1 is maybe coming later to go to the gym with me, I will know more later on. It is already very warm, yet again.

I had my first taste of an Ikea meat ball yesterday, GD2 asked if I wanted to taste one.

        Good morning Nanto
your right it did we were talking about it last night and B said the same thing ,
We think he waits for rainy days to come around 😁

        Gem
Baby E is adorable and looks content just to lie there and watch doesn’t he ,
So sweet you could just squish them 😁

Hair cut at 9.30 then blood tests at 5 pm , hate late appointments but only time they could do it .

GS1 going to Leeds festival on Thursday till Monday , he needed some stuff like a back pack etc so we ordered a lot of stuff yesterday for him and some are coming today so one of us has to be in , probably won’t come till I’m at Drs ,

Bs cousins granddaughter was at some festival on Sunday and was spiked by a needle , she’s only 18 ended up in hospital after having 5 fits before the ambulance arrived ,
Shes ok now and back home but his cousin said they are all in shock , I can imagine they are

You can warn them about drink spiking but how do you prevent this sort of thing 😡

Oma, that spiking is going on here as well, as you say, how can you protect them. Worrying!

          Comment

Oma, never heard of this spiking, do people in crowds spike others with a drug? Very worrying.

Gemini, I love those baby Gyms, they amuse babies for a long time. Baby E is certainly enjoying his, very sweet, he will soon be reaching out trying to touch things. Busy day for you.

We have had some rain, I think enough to freshen up the pots and borders.

              Good morning everyone.

How worrying about your cousin's DD Oma.

We have had a fair amount of rain Plant, and unfortunately rain is forecast tomorrow when we have a a day out planned with GC.

I have been to the Dr's surgery for a steroid knee injection this morning. It hadn't got as bad as it was last time, but it was bothering me and I was told to come back after 3 months if it did. I hope it works as well as last time.
I then went to collect GS1 and brought him here. As it is advised to rest the knee as much as possible for 24 hours we are staying in. He had full and active days out the last 2 days so it suits GS!
I have a meeting for the library Friends group at a another library at 5.30. This is to update us on the progress of our new library, due to open in the autumn. OH will be here for GS. He is staying overnight as we are taking him and GS2 out tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. It's damp and drizzly here, but not cold.

Oma - how awful, B's cousin's granddaughter getting spiked. I'm glad she's ok. I've heard of it, but just can't get my head round the mentality of someone who would do this. But then there's headline news today about a 9 year old girl being shot dead in Liverpool. What is this country coming to. I despair.

On the other hand there's that gorgeous photo of Gem's Baby E enjoying his baby gym. I remember both my GS loving them, but I think they are so much better now with those bright and contrasting colours. Gem - what a lovely day enjoying baby cuddles. xx Enjoy your day with GS2 today.

Plant - my DS2 used to use Go Fresh. He loved it and it actually sparked a serious interest in cooking. I suppose packaging is a problem because of the nature of the products. One of the things I liked was that you didn't have to buy a large packet/jar of some unusual ingredient for one dish as everything was measured out for that recipe.

It's funny about window cleaners - when they came during the heatwave it didn't result in a downpour half an hour later, but it does now!

Nanto - I hope you're getting your jobs done. OH has to go out this morning so I might get a few items off my To Do list as well!

Lizzie - how lovely to be able to go to the gym with your GD2. I bet you both enjoy it.

Daisy, I can understand your DS liking to use Hello Fresh with all the portioning done for you but I cook very simple meals for myself and often a frozen one. I think I might find the one pan one more to my liking, not so much chopping.

Good Wednesday morning everyone. It's been raining overnight, but just damp now.

Oma - we do need that rain!

Nanto - I really can't understand why people just drop litter, but how annoying when it's right outside your house. Dinner sounds yummy.

Plant - what you say about Hello Fresh is true - everything portioned out and all together. That was really useful to DS2 and DIL2, but it introduced DS to different ingredients, meals he would never have thought of preparing and techniques he didn't know. It became his evening relaxation to cook a tasty interesting meal. But like you, I don't know if I would have the patience to cook like that for myself.

Gem - I'm sorry our posts crossed yesterday and I've only just seen your comment about the steroid injection. I hope it went well and you managed to rest yesterday. How is the weather for your day out today?

It's dog training for me and Eva this afternoon. Our trainer has been poorly and she's still not 100% so Eva had better be on her very best behaviour.

Does any one else feel the best of the summer is disappearing fast?

Daisy, my Sil enjoyed the cooking when they tried another company, perhaps it appeals to men. The other problem with these meals is that they are for two people.

Gemini, I hope you will be able to rest your knee after the injection.

Baby H popped in yesterday, she actually gave me a kiss, well her version of a kiss. Not happy that she will be going to a childminder when DD and Sil are on holiday for a week in Sept.
GD1 and her OH work different shifts which overlap at times and some days they are both at work. The childminder is going to meet H today. They really can’t afford it but now her other GM is unable to have her, there is no other option, they can’t afford a nursery.

Nanto, Most people are litter conscious but others just do not care. Do we still fine people for dropping litter, perhaps we should have litter wardens as in our area we do not see a policeman walking.
