WeeGranny - did you have a nap in the sunshine today? Sleep well tonight. How sad to hear about DS's friend's wife. I hope they've caught it early and is treatable. I hope she can be treated near home - it adds so much to the stress if she has to travel to the mainland.

Nanto - it's nice when the weather starts improving isn't it. Lift all our spirits as well as getting the washing dried!

I didn't do much today after all. I spent about an hour cutting back, feeding and mulching just one huge Fuchsia bush. It's always a slow job, but worth it. Then I had a nap this afternoon before portioning up a load of food for Eva, planting a perennial Wallflower I bought the other day, (I must get some more - it looks lonely on its own) and watering the garden and the lawn. Our neighbours had take Eva out with Missy and they came back while I was watering. Missy (mostly white fur) was immaculate. Eva was covered in mud, but looking very happy! She was delighted to get to play with the hosepipe for the first time this year, and OH dried her off.

Gem - did your DD3 test negative today?

      Night, night one and all.

Daisy, yes she did test negative today thank goodness.

WG, how sad about the young woman. I hope her cancer was caught early enough and treatment is successful.

I'm very tired tonight. I have been dropping off all evening so I'm off to my bed now.
Good night from me too everyone! xx

          Good morning all.

Sorry to hear that some of you have been unwell. Hope you are all making a speedy recovery.
This covid doesn't seem to be going anywhere without a fight ddoes it. Infection rate is rising steadily here and a few hospital wards have been closed to visitors once again.
Monday I had an appointment at Specavers and one of the assistants cheerfully informed me that a few members of staff are absent because of covid. She could have kept that bit of information to herself !
I left several £100s lighter . New glasses needed but it wasn't to much of a surprise as l have been struggling to read small print for sometime now .

We didn't go to GD's 18th birthday party after as I went into panic mode , I am still unable to meet lots of people in one go I am OK with very close members of the family .I told OH to go but he refused.
DS told me that a few days after the party a lot of people have been unwell with a nasty gastric infection so we swerved that one!

We've been taking advantage of this lovely weather and have been busy in the garden. Well, when I say we've I really mean OH has been busy I have washed a few pots and swept the path between bouts of sitting in the sunshine drinking coffee. OH has been painting the fence , raking over the gravel and tidying the shed.

WeeGranny I don't get any problems with growth on my chin but my upper lip is a different story.
How on earth can I possibly grow, over night , long black thick hair or should I say stubble on my upper lip? My hair on my head is very light grey with lots of white mixed in it . Where does the black come from and why on earth so flipping thick?

Have a good day everyone and stay safe
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Nice to see you popping in Mimi. Glad you avoided the gastric infection.

It was very foggy earlier, but its almost cleared now.

Just the usual run of the mill day for me.
Hubby is making a new garden bench,so i think that will take care of his day.

            Gem,pleased DD tested negative.

              Good morning ladies.

Mimi, how lovely to hear from you
I think that question as to where hair grows and doesn't grow as we get older is a puzzle to all

Aquaerobics this morning. Just me and SS again. JT is in Poole this week. Spain, Poole, she gets around now she has retired!

No other plans today, but a lot of things to be getting on with.

              Enjoy your day everyone.

Another lovely day here, I have an appt. With the nurse to change the dressing on my hand, then I have a date with my WI friends at a local pub for a fish and chips lunch. It is also the day for GGD’s to be here so hoping to see them.

Mimi, so pleased to hear from you with your news. I think we are all getting nervous about mixing, there are a lot of new cases around. Keep popping in, we love to hear from you.

Oma, your day for spoiling Storm and your GS. I haven’t heard anything about getting a 4th jab yet.

Daisy, Eva is having a lovely time with her walks with Missy. Eva knows if she gets lovely and muddy she can have fun with the hose when she gets back.

Gemini, pleased to hear DD is now clear.

Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful sunny morning here, and like Nanto's little teddy in the graphic, I'm keen to get out planting things in the garden!

Nanto - a new garden banch is just what you need to sit and relax and enjoy this good weather.

Mimi - it was a pity to miss your GD's 18th, but as things turned out you at least avoided the gastric problem. All work in the garden counts as 'work'! It's important to sit and watch things grow, make plans about where to plant new flowers and generally keep an eye on things.

Plant - I hope your hand is getting batter with each new dressing. Enjoy your fish and chip lunch. I think they're starting to roll out 4th jabs to the over-75s soon.

Oma - enjoy your day with Storm. Has GS1 put his order in for his tea? You do spoil your lot!

Eva is still tired after her walk yesterday, but I'm still testing positive so dog training this afternoon is off. A quiet day for both of us!

Belly pork with rice for Storm then yoghurt and blueberry’s for pud for him 😁

Plant how is GD feeling now ? It’s awful when they get overwhelmed and have to work , hope she’s feeling less blue now poor girl .
Enjoy your Fish & Chip lunch yummy 😁

B had his jab they closing our Nightingale hospital on Monday it’s being converted into factory unit , People will be sent to nearest drop in centre for jabs now .

Hallo ladies, very warm here again, I have been for a bike ride with the friend that has alzeimers, I messaged her daughter yesterday to ask if I could visit today, she phoned me and asked if I felt safe cycling with her mum, the daughter had been a few times and it all went well, so, I went this morning, she was waiting to go, telling everyone she was going for a bike ride!!

It went really well, she has always cycled, a lot, so it was no bother at all, I used to have the GD's next to me so I am used to saying which direction etc. We cycled almost 30 kms and she really enjoyed it, we stopped for coffee and I had to go to the toilet, on the way to the toilet I explained to the waitress what my friend had and would she keep an eye on her for me, she said " no bother at all, I will go and clear the tables close to her", she did as well and was stood chatting when I walked back to the table. We did the cycle paths along the river near Rotterdam, so pretty and plenty to see on the way.

I got her back to the home for lunch, she was proudly telling everyone how far she had managed to cycle! She has even just phoned me to thank me.

She told me, a few times, that she has new PJ's, also that her son is getting married so that is something for her to look forward to.

I have missed a few posts, I will read them later on.

I hope you have a nice lunch Plant.

Daisy, hopefully you will test negative soon. At least you are feeling a lot better thank goodness.

Lizzie, how lovely that you are doing this with your friend. It will have done her the world of good!

Oma B is the first person I have heard of to have the 4th jab. I wondered when they would start them. I wish my mum had got hers in time!

its a lovely summer like day here. Washing is drying on the line. OH is gardening. I am finally relaxing after my class this morning then and all stress of the phone call from the care home!

Gem, the daughter has just phoned to thank me, I told her it went really well and I will go again with her, she was saying that she will put the bike down into the garage so that will be handy, we don't have to do as far each time but it gets her out and she really did enjoy it.

How lovely to take your friend out for a bike ride Lizzie. I always enjoyed my bike rides when we lived there, so much safer than in this country! I bet she sleeps well tonight!

Been a glorious day here, went out with bare legs and a short sleeve t-shirt! No cold breeze either. Towels dried on the line, made a cake, got some packs of LF tests from the chemists and had a nice walk too! Was going to make as tart on more paper shredding, but have just realised the time! need to get my dinner on the go.

DD still testing positive, but had been working from home!!! I'm saying nothing, I know what she's like!

A friend of mine is getting her 4th jab next week. She's over 75 but not extremely vulnerable, so I'm assuming it's 6 months since she got her booster.

Good ti hear from Mimi! Hope you get lots of use out of your new bench this Summer.

Daisy, glad you're feeling better today.

Have a good evening ladies x

Hubby's sister and her hubby paid us a visit.
Sat chatting for a couple of hours and put the world to rights.

Lizzie, lovely of you to take your friend for a bike ride.
