Good morning Lizzie and all who follow. It's early for me, but the sun's doing its best and we need to do what we can to sort out the garden while the weather holds.

Lizzie - it sounds as though you got off relatively lightly, but give yourself an easy day. I hope the Arnica cream helps with the bruises.

    I'll pop back later.

I took my sample to the surgery to be sure it is cleared, I came home and we have a bell tableau, 40+ names and door bells, the lock to the entrance is in that, I put my key in and turned, unbelievable but the whole tableau fell off and landed on my shoulder, luckily not heavy, I phoned the cooperation and she didn't even ask how I was. She said she would get someone to see to it as soon as possible, I thought it wouldn't be safe for the next person so off I went down with my duct tape to secure it.

            Good morning everyone.
            A sunny start here.

Nan2, thanks for the Bake Off reminder
Lizzie, do take care of yourself today, you will be tender!
It's sad when summer flowers began to die off Oma, our tubs are not as beautiful as they were!
I hope you get the gardening done Daisy.

            GS1 from school this afternoon.
This morning I have paperwork to print off, sign and return. This may sound boring but as it is related to my mum's property it isn't! It is the Contract Pack. Things are getting closer. I got the email about this yesterday, and the news about the USA borders reopening, it's wonder I slept last night!

            Have a good day everyone.

Lizzie - I think you should be going out with a crash helmet and full body armour! How awful the person not asking if you were ok! I hope it's fixed quickly.

Gem - good to hear things are moving with your mum's property. That, with the US borders opening up is great - a good news day for you. xx

Oma - I bet Storm won't know what to do with himself if it's hot where you are. It's like a mid-summer's day here.

Nanto- thanks for the reminder about Bake-off. Let's try and spot the winner - I always try and do that, same with Sewing Bee.

Glamm - the deal for Las Vegas sounds really good. You might be able to manage both trips, there and Majorca! You're so organised with your clothes. I could do with you coming and sorting out my rag bag of 'stuff'. Nice to hear the DVLA are on the ball with road tax refunds. Are you still enjoying your new car?

Glamma, I'm sure your holiday will happen and maybe Vegas next time?
It is a couple buying mum's bungalow, but maybe there will be a family eventually. I would like to think so

Well the transfer and contract are signed and in the post. No dates on them as they are added at the final signing. I had to have a witness for my signing of the transfer so I went to a friend who works from home and lives in our village. I went after a morning meeting for her and she took time off for cuppa and chat after the signing.
After lunch I went to the post office to post everything off on the way to pick up GS1. He hasn't been to school today or yesterday due to a cold. He is much better today so I think he will be back at school tomorrow. I picked him up at 3 and brought him back here to give his dad 3 hours child free work time. DD is in London all day.

Gem, its good that all the paperwork is in the post.

Pleased GS1 will be well enough for school tomorrow.

Gem - it's a relief to get that paperwork all signed and posted. And you had a bit of a chat with your friend as well. I hope GS1 is ok for school tomorrow.

We've spent the day doing what we can to sort out the garden. I sorted out and swept up the area in front of my little potting shed - just a path really, but we've now been able to get one of the tomato troughs in there and put the water butt back up - this area is already concreted and not being changed. OH finished demolishing some pallets - partly for kindling and partly for turning - they were very substantial crates which the paving slabs came in and the bottom and top of the crates were made out of an Indian hardwood and quite rare in this country. We cleared some more debris out of the border at the bottom of the garden, getting it ready for replanting. I threw out lots of old garden canes and we loaded the trailer up.

                              Sun is peeking through.

Daisy, the garden sounds a bit tidier, even though the work isn't finished.
Not much happening here. Hubby has a job to finish in the garden.
I'm sure i will find plenty to do.

Good morning Nan2, and everyone else.
Nan2, things always turn up on free days
Daisy, I really hope you and OH are not overdoing things.

This morning SIL2 is coming to work at our house for a few hours. He is bringing his car into his garage for something doing. It is half mile from us,so it make sense for him to come here rather than the drive home and back. He can have my ex therapy room, which is quiet and private. If he needs a table though it will have to be the dining room.
Library for me this afternoon, dentist for OH. Her first visit since before the pandemic!

I hope everyone is well and has a good day.
