    Good morning ladies.

Have a good Cooper day Daisy
It was a very windy night here Nan2, but seems calm out there now.
Oh Lizzie your poor son! You be careful if you do go on your bike today.

As GS1 is still Wednesday at the moment, today is a free day. Usual Tuesday golf competition for OH. I think I will take one of my solo cinema trips
We are going to see friends this evening. Not for a meal, just a get together so we will eat earlier than usual around 6.

    Have a good day everyone

Cycling in strong wind, not a very good idea, you be careful Lizzie after what happened to your son.

Sunny here but everywhere is so wet. I have to go to the local hospital some time today to collect some tablets from the pharmacy. My surgery are not able to prescribe them, I presume because they are so expensive. They are the ones that control my heart fibrillation. apart from that I have no other plans.

Nanto, what is it that your OH sends in parcels?

I have had an impromptu drive around!
OH was to collect SIL from the garage he uses not far from us, and drive him to the office. A 10 minute drive at most. However, there was an accident this morning which closed roads for a long time. What should have been a 25 minute drive in for SIL took over an hour and a half. It was too late for SIL to help out as she had to be on the golf course. MIL to the rescue! I drove him to work, then as my mum had mentioned on the phone last night that she was low on milk, I popped into tesco for some, drove via hers and dropped off milk and prescription.
I think I will go to see Little Women this afternoon. I will report back.

Nanto - Mondays and Tuesdays are the only days I stand any chance of being on here first, but I'm usually racing against the clock to get to DS2's before they leave for work and school to collect Cooper. This morning I had managed to get my hair dry a bit quicker than usual so had a couple of minutes. My OH always says Hermes is far cheaper than Royal Mail - usually less than half the price.

Lizzie - the wind sounds scary - do take care if you're on your bike. I hope your son didn't feel stiff or bruised the next day.

Plant - my OH trades stuff on eBay - mostly meccano but also sometimes wood turning items, and you either say 'buyer collects' or you post the item and the buyer pays the postage on top of the purchase price. So he's often sending off parcels large and small.

It's certainly a chilly wind here today. The sun's nice, though.

          Must go - door bell!!!

Afternoon ladies , first chance I have had to come on , been a busy morning ,

Lizzie how scary, you must have been mad angry at that silly driver , then for your poor DS to get blown over

Daisy have you got Cooper at your house ? do Eva and Cooper like the wind ? Storms not to happy with wind in his ears , they don't flop over so no protection

Gem if I lived nearer I would have came to the cinema , I want to see that but B not too keen .

Plant take care getting out of your car at Hospital if the wind is anything like here it will pull the door out of your hand its so strong .

Nanto that Graphic is very apt the wind is that strong here at the minute , its tipped over all the empty recycle bins in the street after they were emptied , everyone rushing out to take them in

Didn't sleep well at all last night , DD came to pick GS1 up early last night she had been to Dr's again she found another Breast lump , She has had 4 so far they all needed draining and the odds are this will be the same as they come up very quickly sometimes within hours , but I always worry what if this one is different ?. She isn't worried at all ,
She has to go to Breast clinic next Tuesday I said I would go with her but she insists she doesn't need me to go she knows it will be a quick 5 mins draining so I must abide by her wishes I suppose .
Dr said its hormonal as she is going through the change , doesn't make it any easier for me though I cant help but worry .

Had a giggle this morning , went to Sainsburys , as I was getting a trolley a young girl was talking on her phone getting a trolley next to me , she sounded Russian , jabbering away then in the middle of her conversation she said in broad Geordie " Oh bugger it " then carried on her conversation in her language
I was in stiches it sounded so Funny , a woman behind me actually laughed out loud she must have thought the same thing

Have a good afternoon ladies xxx

Oma, of course you worry about DD, that is what we are mothers for! Just got message from DS2 and he had filled the papers in for the insurance for the car light he damaged.

I have been to the hospital, for the results of the scan, worrying myself sick for weeks! For nothing! The scan is clear so he said I am just deaf in my left ear. I was relieved! I even went in the car as rain was forecast so was sensible!

Gem - that best laid plans can be scuppered by a road closure! It's a good job you were on hand to go to the rescue. Enjoy Little Women.

Oma - yes Cooper's at our house until the girls come out of school, then I take them all back to theirs. Eva doesn't like the wind even though her ears don't stand up. Cooper's such a nut case you wouldn't notice any difference!! Of course you're going to worry about your DD, even though you know the odds are this is just the same as all the other times. Is she on HRT? You have way more fun in the supermarkets than I do! I would like to see Little Women as well - it's one of the few books I can read over and over again - but it's such a hassle to go to the cinema here.

Sorry if I've missed it, but did you get to meet GS1's new girl friend?

Lizzie - What a relief to know the scan was clear. I'm glad you used your car though rather than risking it on your bike today.

Oma, of course you will worry about DD. Hope it turns out to be the same as before.

Well our plans were well and truly scuppered this morning.
Hubby was supposed to be going walking with a pal.
I had planned on cleaning all upstairs.
Dad rang. Said his fence had blown down, and the arbour had also been blown over.
So off we went, hubby armed with tools. Eventually, fence was repaired and arbour back where it belongs.

Oma, it is so easy to say don't worry, but don't. Any lump which comes up suddenly is fluid, and as your DD wisely says and can be drained. I had them twice when I was younger as has my DD. Some women are prone to them. I would still worry if it were my DD, so you will, but try not to. All will be well xx
I'm so glad your worries were unfounded Lizzie, but sorry you had that worry.
Busy day for your OH then Nan2.

I loved Little Women, I'll write about it in the relevant section.
Two of our friends who have a day off called in to see us unexpectedly this afternoon and stayed for a cuppa, which was very nice.
We are now staying at home tonight as one of the friends we were going to see has a terrible cold.

                            Good morning everyone

That's a cute graphic Nan2. Pork chops, one of my favourites. It's my turn to cook tonight but I don't know what we are having yet.

OH is meeting an old friend for lunch, and it is my GS1 pick up day.
Frosty here this morning, but the sun is out.

                            Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning, Nanto, how do you do the chops in the slow cooker? The wind has dropped here as well.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but, I make photo albums each year for the girls, the one for GD1 arrived on time the one for GD2 got lost along the way, now 2 months later and perfect communication from the firm, the second one has arrived!!! All good news yesterday.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nanto - I was wondering how you do pork chops in the slow cooker. I reckon you could write a book about using a slow cooker. I tend to use mine for beef or lamb casseroles and that's it.

It's nice and sunny here - I might even get a bit of gardening done today.

Lizzie - what a nice idea to do photo books for your GDs. I'm glad the second one has finally arrived. I love doing photobook layouts.

Gem, isn't it lovely when good friends pop in unexpectedly. I hope your other friend's cold is soon better.

Oma - poor girl - I always feel sorry for girls who have bad periods. It seems so unfair.

Nanto - your OH is good, dropping everything to fix the fence. I've said it before - your in-laws are very lucky to have you and OH. x
