Good morning Nan2 and all who follow.

It looks breezy here too Nan2 and dull outside, but no rain.
GD will be here until her mum comes for her later after a conference call. I am taking my mum to her friend 's house this afternoon, doing her shopping first.

Safe travels to Qwerty and family, and Daisy if she is on her way home today.

Enjoy your day whatever it holds.

        Good moaning each.
Not looking too promising weather wise again here. Is this the end of summer I ask myself?
My week was fairly clear on Monday, needless to say it’s filled up with GCs again.
Nanto2 your dinners always sound delicious. Trying to lose weight here, but struggling.
Happy holidays Qwerty and co. Gem it sounds as if you had a fun day despite the weather. I’ve never been to Filey. OH has on many an occasion being from the North.
Not familiar with tea bag folding, but I see it is a form of Origami as Enfys says.
Oma, what a bargain! It’s a rare occasion for me to get OH into Ikea, but once in he heads for the restaurant after which he is quite happy to browse.
Things to do, places to go...have a good day folks.

Good morning all. Sunny here after a day of continual rain yesterday.

Off to hospital soon for scan results and seeing the oncologist. Feeling apprehensive but we are prepared for anything.

Safe travels to Qwerty. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning early birds and followers.

Sunny here at at the moment .

Gem ,glad you had a happy day yesterday despite the weather. It rained more or less all day here.
We went to an out of town shopping place yesterday which was mostly under cover. I didn’t buy anything very exciting apart from an ironing board cover.

Daisy please close your eyes. I have sorted out two ch......s presents. In my defence they were both absolute bargains.,more than half price jumpers for my sister and BIL.Never one to miss a bargain!

Safe journey to travellers and everyone have a lovely day

Not too early if it's a bargain Clover

I forgot to say we are invited to DD3's for a meal tonight.
When my mum is at her friends this afternoon I plan to go back to hers to do some cleaning. I will only have an hour really, allowing for traffic to and from her friends, but at least I can make bit of a difference. As she is never out unless with me, I never get the chance to do anything except gardening.

Morning all not much to report from me. Weather has been atrocious rain and more rain. It's sunny at the moment so finally got some laundry outside to dry. Missing the girls, they fly back to Wales with the other GP's today until Sunday. Then their great aunt will drive them back and look after them for a week. They have had a lovely time though and that's the important thing. Looking forward to my sister visiting for 4 days in September. Apart from that it's the same old for us, off shopping later the highlight of the week this far. Hope all are well and do have some sunshine.

I am wondering how Enfys and P have got on, do hope the news was better.

Hope you manage to get some cleaning done at your mother's house Gemini. Your mother is usually a bit grumpy when she has been to her friend's house, hope she is happier this time. Enjoy your meal at your DD3's house.

I have been to Aqua, followed by lunch in a local cafe, bought some nice wooden hangers in charity shop. Then I went to garden centre and bought a pot and compost, finally I called into Waitrose on the way home for some noodles (doing a stir-fry tonight). Bumped into DD in Waitrose, she is having to shop every day with her houseful. Now I am having a quiet cup of tea and talking to you folk.

Reading back I realised my earlier post wasn't as early as I thought and I missed Enfys' post about hospital trip. I do hope it went well.

Just a quick hello from me this afternoon

Enfys hope P’s hospital appointment is encouraging news x

We tided up the shed and patio this afternoon, all the empty pots were washed and put in a huge box. I don’t think OH has taken into consideration all the pots and planters that still have flowers in them and it could be at least another month until they are emptied!
Oh decided that the bistro table and chairs can be put away in the far end of the shed as he has decided that summer is over ☹️( Shed is so big you could easily get a lage family car in it with room to spare )

We are going to see DD and two youngest GS’s tomorrow in Cardiff and as per the norm rain is forecast!
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

No real change for OH so chemo is continuing. He wants to delay starting it so that he isn’t on it whilst we’re away, she was happy with that so that’s what we’re doing. I wanted to cancel the holiday so he could start it straight away but he is adamant he doesn’t want to do that. I think at the end of the day it’s not going to make a huge difference sadly, we know it’s only palliative so we must do whatever we can whilst he is still fit enough to do things. He feels so well at the moment we must make the most of that.

Otherwise, it’s been a very warm and sunny day so we had a nice walk around the lake at the hospital and sat in the sun watching the ducks. It’s a very restful place. Then called in to see DD on the way home and caught up with her. Home now, feeling quite tired enjoying tea.

I think that is the right choice Enfys, and a holiday has health benefits in itself, for you both xx
