Wow Qwerty, one hell of a busy time.
Yes its a Ford. He wanted the same as already had, just upgraged to a newer model.
Hope OH has a lovely birthday tomorrow.
Big plans for the villa. Will look lovely when its all done.

Had a couple of heavy showers today with the odd rumble of thunder.

Qwerty - your, and your OH, deserve medals, especially then taking them all to Spain as well. For goodness sake get some time for you.

Plant - Thanks for asking about OH's eye - the injections continue indefinitely as far as I know. At the moment they just seem to be maintaining the status quo, but if things get better he will probably need them less frequently.

Oma - the research is ongoing. We've now got a couple of leads but I've been unable to actually make contact yet. It's a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack!

You're right about there being nothing on the tv. I'm playing music and chatting on here! Typing along to Uptown Funk at the moment.

Good morning, sun is shining, but not a good forecast for today.

We are going to Wakefield shopping today.
When we've done in the town, shall we go to Sainsburys or Asda. Sad i know.
Think it will be Sainsburys,i don't go there as often as Asda,so might see something different for meals. Then again might not.

Hope Gem and OH have enjoyed their night away.

Good morning Nan2 and other ladies.

Rain here overnight Nan2, but right now it is fine.
Serious downtime and resting for you if possible Qwerty!!
It was raining torrentially when we went out last night. Fortunately the gin lounge is next door! By the time we left there to go for our meal it had stopped. A lovely night
We will go out for breakfast in a while, then have a mooch around Ilkley. Apparently there is a food festival today. We want to have a walk to the open air swimming pool too. To look, not go in!

                  Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning everyone. It's dry but very blowy here. Several pots blew over in the night, including a huge Anabelle hydrangea that's too heavy for me to lift up. I hope she's not too badly damaged.

Gem - this break is just what you need. The food festival sounds fun - lots of things to sample I hope. Enjoy your mooch round the swimming pool. An outdoor swim today would be bracing to say the least!

Nanto - enjoy your shopping. Can I give you my list as well please? It's good to try a different supermarket sometimes - I certainly get in a rut with what I buy.

What a night, terrific wind and rain but luckily no damage here this morning. Still very windy but dry. I have my knit and natter after lunch so need to sort out my knitting bag. I usually take something easy with no particular pattern or counting so I can enjoy the chat without worrying about going wrong. I am crocheting cotton wash cloths at the moment, have some very pretty yarn and love the one I am using. I want to have a little pile of different coloured cloths in the bathroom and ditch the scrunchies.

Qwerty, I hope your week in Spain with the children goes well for you both, do try and have a rest too if you can. Hope your DH has a lovely day for his birthday today.

.......the wind here has really got up, it’s literally blowing a gale, glad I haven’t got far to go this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone.........anyone affected by the power cuts?

Morning ladies a dull day but far from cold , im sitting with sitting room windows wide the air smells fresh after last nights downpour ,

Didn't have a good night again so I cleaned the kitchen cupboards out and washed the doors down , only the floors to wash this morning ,

Not much else to do , have a couple of people coming for some of the toys , they have almost all sold B's phone never stopped yesterday ,
All the money is being shared between the GC and going in their bank accounts every penny counts for them as they get older .

This morning my lillies are a bit worse for wear the rain gave them a right battering but to be fair they are almost over didn't help Storm actually pooing on one yesterday ,( another story to tell )

My new phone wallet arrived this morning a bit pinker and sparkly than I thought , im not really a pink person but the other colour choices were not my liking either , but its pretty and will do the job .

Off to make B a coffee he's messing about with in shed not sure what so I will go have a nosy just now

Have a good day ladies Gem if your coming home today safe journey xxx

Thanks Oma. We will head back this afternoon, avoiding any thunderstorms! We have said we will be back to give the cats their tea, usually somewhere in the 5 to 7 pm area, 5 or earlier would be their choice!
Qwerty I hope the queasiness goes off soon

Goodness me Qwerty, you are a glutton for punishment/ All that childcare and then taking the children to Spain that villa was, I thought, was going to be your escape. Please don't over do it. It is an exciting time for you planning the improvement you are going to make to the villa.

That sounds an interesting break for you both Gemini, gin sounded very interesting. Hope you had a rain free ride back.

Oma, for goodness sake it only seems like yesterday those kitchen cupboards were cleaned. Hope B wasn't up to mischief in the shed.

Not sure what is in store for me today, windy but not raining. I might pop to a garden centre, I need some compost and a pot.

                                Good morning all.

Well I say “good” but the weather here is anything but. I‘ve rarely seen such high winds and torrential rain. I hate it when it’s windy anyway and fear any damage it might do. Though they were staked two of my sunflowers have snapped off completely and during a slight lull I donned boots and Mac and went out to lash my bamboo bean supports to the fence as they were in danger of blowing over. It has eased a bit now but no walk this morning.

Qwerty I hope you find a few minutes to yourself and can concentrate on your Spanish trip. It’s good your OH is looking forward to going. Sorry you feel queasy.Have you any probiotic yoghurt? They sometimes help.

Gem safe journey home. Those cats will be on the look out for you

Oma I bet your cupboards didn’t need as much cleaning out as mine do.

Enfys,Enjoy your Natter and Knitting. Notice I put natter before knitting
