Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

      Enjoy your day Nan2.
I hope Storm enjoyed being 4. Oma, he must be told that now he is 4, no more silly running away behaviour
Looking forward to the car photos Daisy.
Not long until you come up north Plant. Looking forward to seeing you

The school fair went well despite a short showery period halfway through. GS2 had just had his first night in his bed, so was very keen to tell us about it. Apparently he had stayed there all night and at 8am he had shouted through 'Mummy, Daddy, I'm awake, in my bed!'

No plans for us today apart from going to see my auntie.

      Have a good Saturday everyone.

Enjoy your lunch out Nanto. A quad bike, my goodness, boys will be boys.

The roundabouts in Basingstoke are challenging Daisy, pleased the car lived up to expectations. I wonder if Eva will like her first ride in it.

I have ironing to do this morning and sort out what I need to take, an umbrella and mac top of the list. Stitches came out fine, now I have a scab and steri strips or tiger stripes as the nurse called them, I preferred the plaster to cover it all up but I have to leave it open now. GD2 came home yesterday just for the weekend, she has a virus so no hugs. GD pointed out that we have four generations living here atm. We were all plus GD1' partner, sitting in the sun enjoying a drink yesterday evening. GGS was upset when he had to go in for his bath.
I know Zizi looks in sometimes, I thought she said she had posted about her job in Granny Support.

Happy birthday to Storm, Oma, what will he have as birthday treats?

Morning ladies , very muggy here , overcast though ,

Plant he had lots of Doggy treats from a shop that makes cakes and biscuits and beer for dogs , He didn't care for the Beer though.
Best to leave it uncovered to get the air to it plant , by Monday it may look lots better xx

Daisy will you introduce Eva to the new car today ?

Gem I bet he felt a real big boy and to stay there till 8 is wonderful

          Nanto enjoy your lunch ,

I have washed all my paintworks down downstairs ,cleaned the kitchen unit doors and hoovered , need to wash the floors apart from dog paw prints , B dropped a light bulb on the kitchen floor this morning it shattered and went everywhere , swept it up then hoovered but your never sure are you that you miss little bits , so a good wash will take any stray splinters up .
Need to go out at some point to get bug spray , I noticed yesterday two Lillie beetles on my lillie's , they are pests and eat them away so I picked them off and disposed of them but I bet there are eggs so the quicker I spray them the better

Have a good day ladies xxx

Good Saturday morning everyone. It looks sunny at the moment, but I think I noticed a few clouds on the tv weather forecast for later. Glad I got the lawn done yesterday.

Nanto - I've never been on a quad bike, but I think it must be quite a bumpy ride for the passenger! Pleased to hear your SIL is on the mend.

Plant - we hope Eva will be happy in her new car - she's generally a very calm passenger, so fingers crossed. We approached one roundabout in Basingstoke and the sat nav said 'take the 6th exit'! Sixth! No wonder your family is so busy - but how lovely to have four generations together.

Zizi did write about her new job in GS, but not everyone on GRU is on Face Book. GS was set up as a 'safety net' in case we lost contact with each other when we were setting GRU up, so isn't used much nowadays so a lot of people won't see her lovely news.

Gem - well done to GS2 having his first night in his bed. I bet he feels very grown up. It was perhaps as well you had jobs to do at your mum's if she was feeling a bit grumpy.

I'm looking forward to taking my snowman out for a drive sometime today. OH started reading the manual last night (good luck to him!) but I tend to find things out on a need to know basis - hopefully!

Oma - lilly beetles look so exotic, but they are so destructive! How funny - beer for dogs! Well done, Storm for staying sober - a drunken Husky would be "interesting".

              Morning ladies.

Abusy Bee as usual Oma Glass goes everywhere doesn’t. I once had a bulb explode out of the blue in a side light above my head.So hard to find the minuscule fragments.

Daisy I reckon if you can cope with that challenging trip home you are ready for anything in your new car.

Plant I’m glad your forehead is healing well.

Gem how grown up now is GS2 in his own big boy bed

It’s our village Carnival today on the field two doors away from our house so very noisy but that’s fine. There is also a disco type of evening with music blaring until as late as it is allowed, again I don’t mind,it’s only once a year.Last night it was a family evening in the marquee and tomorrow an interdominational church service so a full on weekend. The weather is overcast but as long as it doesn’t rain it’ll be okay. Last year it was blazing hot.

Off for a walk now then more painting. General housework has gone by the board this week.

              Have a lovely weekend.

Both of us enjoyed our meal at the garden centre.
Then went on to Asda. As we walking through some red skirts caught my eye.
Took one to try on,fitted perfectly.Even the length was just right.
Added bonus was they were reduced from £12.50 down to £6.
I would have bought another if they had them in a different colour.

                      Good bargain there then Nan2.
                      Oma is never still Plant!
                      Housework will wait Clover

This morning I made 2 crumbles for the freezer, with rhubarb fr0m DD1's allotment. One was a raspberry and rhubarb one, with rasps from our garden. We went to see my auntie, had a cuppa with her and arranged to go out for coffee and cake with her in a couple of weeks time.
We then went to Sainsburys for nectarines and melons - and came out with lots more!
OH is glued to recorded tennis again now.

Gem - crumbles - yummy! How lovely to have raspberries in the garden. Years ago we bought a house from the local Parks Superintendent and the dividing 'hedge' was raspberry canes - wonderful! They're the best fruit I think, pity it's a relatively short season. I bet your auntie was delighted to see you and will be looking forward to coffee and cake!

Nanto - that skirt obviously had your name on it. What a pity there weren't other colours - have you got another Asda nearby?

Clover - as Gem says, housework will definitely wait. I think most people don't mind occasional noise, and it's rather nice to hear people having a good time. How lovely they're getting good weather.

Oma - you're a glutton for punishment! I hope you had a Nana nap during the day. xx

This morning we looked at the user manual for my snowman - and understood about one word in three. So we took it over to DS2, also a Skoda owner, and asked for translation and simple instructions. OH drove it both ways, as he hadn't driven it at all. He liked it - but hopefully not too much!! I'm a bit like a kid in a candy shop - I've never had so many knobs and buttons to twiddle with. The very best thing on such a muggy, warm day was the sunroof, which also has a sort of netting shade to let air in but soften the glare of the sun. Eva seemed very happy in the boot, so all good.

Pleased you love your new car Daisy.
We have our local Asda, but it will probably be another week before i go. Will have a look though.

Gem, my hubby would rather have raspberries than strawberries.
When we have them,i usually get some blueberries to have with them.

I’ve had a lovely day today. DD and GD came to visit with the doglets. (Toy poodles.) We walked along the foreshore, around the millpond and into the village. We had a delicious lunch in a dog friendly cafe. The sun shone and we had a lovely catch up.
