Good morning, Nanto, and all later arrivals. I do hope the sick and needy aren't too sick, Nanto. It sounds as though one of your SIL's didn't want to pull her weight with caring for your in-laws. I hope she's never in the same position when she's old and frail. I could do with borrowing your Weed Police bear for the day!

We're having Cooper again today so I'm off to pick him up, and I'll be back later.

Gem - GS2 has coped very well with losing his little furry friend. It's hard for young children to understand, but you've all helped him and he'll love the photo. He is a sensitive little soul to have worked out how he might feel losing your mum, bless him.

Qwerty - I'm sure a bit of pampering at the nail bar made you feel good! What colour did you choose? Glad to hear little J is able to go back to school. I hope he doesn't also get foot, mouth and hand disease as well, poor little lad.

We're going to collect my new (to me) car on Friday, but we haven't yet arranged a date to hand over my current car to it's new owner. We'll probably drive it over Friday or Saturday morning - it's only in the next village so I may still see it around, and we'll be taking my new car to that garage for servicing etc.

Gem and Oma - have a great time - I wish I was joining you! And if our ears are burning we'll know why! xxx

Qwerty poor lad I hope he doesn't catch HFM is he well in himself or has he been poorly with it ?
I know HFM they don't always feel unwell sometimes it comes and goes without any bother but it does do the rounds of schools .

Im still in my PJ's been showered but I will wait till later to get dressed or I will be a wrinkled mess when we meet Gem & S

just passing through as off to hairdressers another pampering time, this is so not me or is it these days, twins to pick up after 3 they are in year 1 for 2 weeks so they settle better come September, so a 10 min later finish and another exit ,I’m soon confused these days, I’ll be back later, enjoy your day out Gem,Oma, and S 😀 collecting my korunas for Prague today staying at Dds tonight early start tomorrow as in 3.30 am 😱

Nanto I hope you didn’t have too much to do at in-laws.It must break your day up a lot.

I think the sun has gone to my head. Out of the blue I decided to paint the bedroom,just walls to change the colour. As I don’t have much of a social life I think I want something to break the routine. Goodness knows there’s plenty of other things need doing in the house,clearing clutter etc. but once I got the idea of painting the bedroom I followed it through. Of course theses things always take longer than anticipated but I’ll be able to clear a few things out as I go along.So far one wall has had one coat so a long way to go. Hope I don’t run out of steam before I can finish.I’m changing from blue to a soft grey

Qwerty - safe journey, and have a lovely time in Prague. I hope J survived his first day back ok. It's a good idea to give them chance to get used to their new classroom.

Clover - good for you. Don't worry about how long it takes, just take your time and enjoy it. When it's finished not only will you have a lovely new looking room, but you'll also have a great sense of achievement. xx

Plant - I had to Google quilling! The finished itmes look beautiful, and it looks very creative, but quite detailed and fiddly as you say. Did you enjoy it?

Nanto - does your dad have to do things around the house that your mam used to do? He perhaps feels a bit hard done by, poor chap.

Yes, I'm looking forward to getting my new car. Plant - I'm not sad about parting with the Zafira - I didn't choose it - my DS2 was just about to sell it when the clutch went on my previous car. The Z goes well, but I found it boring to drive and there's no where to put things like your phone or purse without them getting knocked onto the floor and I really don't need a car that big. It was only intended as a stop gap while I replaced my old car, but I've kept it for 2 years.

Afternoon ladies , had a lovely time with the Gems we never stopped talking and it was a lovely country pub with good food,

Qwerty have a wonderful time enjoy every minute it will wizz by

Clover Grey is very on trend at the minute , I do like grey its soft and gentle and good colour for bedrooms , in fact any room looks good in grey .

Plant it is fiddly but you can do such lovely things with it , will you try it again ?

Daisy you need a car your comfy with bet your excited

Nanto my FIL used to via for attention if MIL was getting it all ,he would get all of a sudden quite unwell and a bit huffy till it was all on him again then recover very easily

Clover things like decorating are more fun than housework (and the effects last far longer!) Good for you doing that. Things which make us feel better in any way are not to be underestimated.

We spent a lovely afternoon with the Omas, having a nice lunch and chatting. We won't leave it so long in between next time. We got home about 5.45. The photos are on OH's phone Oma, I will have a look.
OH is cutting our lawn as it is garden waste collection in the morning. My plan to do it yesterday was thwarted by rain and the long grass (not cut since before our holiday) being very wet.

Daisy,dad some things that mam used to do,but he is quite able to do it.
I do all the housework,so only has to make something to eat and he does a bit of shopping.
We try to make meal times easy for him,by getting ready meals in. I sometimes take a meat and potato pie(homemade) but i have to bake it while i'm there.

Anyway,guess who has got the day off tomorrow. One of my other sister in laws is going,before she goes to work.
I think something has been said to her, although no-one has admitted to it.
It will give me a chance to catch up one a few jobs at home.

Nanto - I'm glad SIL is stepping in and giving you a bit of a break. It's hard work looking after two homes all the time.

Clover - we've now used grey in several rooms - but they're all slightly different shades and it would have been sensible if we'd written which room on each tin for touching up purposes! Are you pleased with progress so far? Be careful if you're climbing on steps/ladders. xx

Sunny at the moment but I think there must have been a shower in the night.I’ll still water the pots before I start my decorating.It’s the window wall today so curtains down and a bit of minor crack filling.I’m doing a bit at a time. We must have a walk today as I didn’t get round to one yesterday and I do like OH to get out.

Nanto I hope you can catch up on your jobs but don’t overdo it.
