I have checked online and the train prices are just the same as last night . There is no point us both rushing to the station for a wasted journey, so I am waiting . I will keep checking and when they go down I will go to book. I suspect it will be next Friday now, but I hope not as Friday is the most inconvenient day of the week for me!!

I bet the sea wasn't as warm as the Australian sea for your GS's dip Enfys. You are having a lovely relaxing time with your family.
Mimi what an awful experience having a neighbour like that, I wonder who is having the pleasure of his company now.
Daisy get looking for that replacement car, good to have a buyer lined up. Has the car had one careful lady driver!
I am sure GS2 will enjoy the theatre Gemini, good for them to experience live shows.
Another lovely day but the forecast isn't great for the weekend and the family are planning a Bar-B-Que on Sunday, I am making an overnight salad tomorrow. I have done a clik and collect grocery shop which I am picking up after 2pm it will save me too much walking and bending. Watched a lot of tennis yesterday, lovely to see Andy Murray on the court again and enjoying himself in the doubles, he is playing with Serena Williams in the mixed doubles, can't wait! It is lovely having the family with baby E staying, he was playing with a hose with his daddy yesterday after his nursery and he spotted me and called out watcha doing Gt. Granma! All of my DD and Sil family plus partners are off on holiday when I come back so I will not see them for 3 weeks!!!!What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Morning people , a lovely day again, enjoyed our meal out for Dd 40 th birthday but she’s not happy about being 40 at all !! She had a Betty’s birthday cake delivered from Betty’s via South Africa from her in laws, and a beautiful necklace from her bro and family it’s a silver chain with 4 rings on it , one for each decade , of course OH had taken her to Venice and I’m taking her to Prague next week .
Plant how are you today.
Good luck with the ticket collection Gem.
We have a new Aldi in the village so a change of shopping venue today, of course I have been to others but a first in our village it opened yesterday and much nearer than Morrison’s although I can’t get everything there so will have to go to M’s at some point . I need to get out more .
Enfys your family visit seems to be lifting your spirits , and no cooking has got to be a bonus .
Nanto hope the driving thing goes well ,you never know you might end up buying a new car like Daisy lol.
Mimi I live next door to a lazy young woman age about 30 scruffy, etc I know it’s not as bad as the one you spoke about but still upsetting, my neighbour looks like she squatting in the house wouldn’t care she paid £300,000 for the house why would you live like that then .

Gem - thanks for letting us know about the train tickets. x
Plant - pleased to hear you're taking it easy and enjoying the tennis. It will be strange for you not seeing your family for 3 weeks.
Qwerty - I'm quite sure your DD doesn't look 40, and these days 40 is the new 21 anyway, so she's got nothing to worry about.Hopefully your lazy neighbour will eventually move on.

Daisy,pleased the car passed.
Hubby and DS1 are driving a Lamborghini,McClaren and an Audi something.
Hubby just rung and they are enjoying it.
Doctor been to see mam this morning.I asked if she could have some stronger painkillers.
When i got to the chemist and looked at the prescription,i realised she can't have them.
They have codeine in them, and she's allergic to it.
Rung the surgery but doctor is in theatre till 2,so have to ring back later.
Just popped home to water hubby's tomato plants.
Going back to in laws, dad is going to audiology at the hospital, so i am mam sitting.
He's lost his hearing aid. We've turned the house upside down but cant find it.
I even put some gloves on and searched the rubbish in the kitchen.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Evening all.
Nanto I hope you got your Mam’s painkillers sorted out. What a nuisance that the hearing aid went missing.
Qwerty ,well done on getting GD to school. Have a lovely weekend with her.
Spoke to DD .She waved GS off on a two night school trip to the battlefields at 4.30 this morning. She felt sad as F said Hello” to a boy who totally ignored him and then inevitably F was sitting by himself on the coach.DD is also anxious because of F’s peanut allergy. When the pupils are let loose she’s worried F might buy something with peanuts in ,although where they are staying does not use nuts. She( and I ) will be glad when he’s home safely.
Btw we enjoyed the film even though we were the only two in thereAfterwards we went to a newly opened dessert shop called Treatz” which mainly sells ice cream desserts, smoothies, waffles etc. We had a Sundae each, the choice was amazing.

Clover, please you enjoyed the film, and the Sundaes.
Qwerty, well done for GD to school. Enjoy the weekend.
Doctor couldn't give me any stronger tablets that didn't have codeine in.
And,with her being on warfarin, that limits her even more,so she has to to just carry on taking paracetomol.
Hubby and DS1 both enjoyed their driving experience.both of them didn't rate the Lamborghini.
They both liked the Audi whatever it was the best.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Clover I hope F is OK, enjoys his trip and comes home safely.
Chattery weekend in store for you Qwerty!
GS2 loved the theatre and I loved having him with me.
Tomorrow is our village carnival. Our library Friends group has a stall, next to the library bus, which comes to the field for the event. I am running a Treasure Map. I made this before I went on holiday. I drew a grid of squares on it and people choose a square, in the hope of winning £5 if they guess the right one. I have bought little packs of Haribo to lure the children in! Free sweets with every go.
The carnival begins at 1 but I will be on the field for about 10.30, so a busy day . OH will help us set up and clear away (we use our gazebo) but usually comes home to watch Wimbledon in between.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Nanto - your menfolk obviously had a good time. I'm surprised they didn't rate the Lamborghini - you'd expect that to be the most exciting. Oh dear, your poor MIL, and how frustrating that she can't get better pain relief.
Clover - having the cinema all to yourself must have felt weird, but glad you enjoyed the film. I'm sure F will be ok, but as you say, you can't help worrying. Our GS1 went on a week's trip to France earlier in the year and he was so anxious he would hardly come out of his bedroom. DIL flew out to him in the end, and then he started to join in a bit with the activities. It's so heartbreaking when other children shun them - I feel for you as well.
Gem you are certainly going to be busy tomorrow. I hope your treasure map raises lots of money.
We've just had a lovely evening with our friends. They are all tennis fiends except me, so we watched Coco's game off and on and even I was on the edge of my seat at times. My friend M and I were pleased with our nibbles and canapés - I don't usually do fiddly stuff like that - but everything worked out well, and OH made a couple of lovely jugs of Pimms - our first this summer.I think the birthday girl enjoyed her evening.

Sounds lovely Daisy .
I do like catching up with friends , its like when we all meet up we seem to carry on where we left off as though there hasn't been a year between meet ups don't we .
I think its important to keep in touch and as I know first hand how welcoming you and Mr Daisy are im sure the Birthday girl had a wonderful time .
So looking forward to seeing Gem & S on Wednesday
Nanto sorry to hear MIL cant have anything stronger will she cope do you think ?
Clover a worry about GS but he's very brave to go and im sure the teachers will make sure he's part of the group . Don't you just want to wrap them up in your arms and keep any hurt away but unfortunately they have to face the world head on don't they , I do hope he enjoys it though
Peanut allergy is awful as its in so many things , does he carry epipens with him ? at least with my shell fish allergy I can avoid that and im aware of fish sauce being used in things , but a child doesn't always think that way do they , im sure his teachers will be vigilantIm not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning all.
What a lovely evening DaisyIt reminds me that I haven't had Pimms yet this year! I had sangria a couple of times on holiday, but I think a Pimms will be on the cards tonight.
We are looking forward to seeing you too Oma! Btw, the cheap train tickets are out for Friday 27th but not the Sunday yet. I may go and get our outward ones after the carnival.
Busy day at the carnival for me. Feet up this evening I imagine!
It's cloudy but warm and I don't think it will rain, Nan2. I hope not anyway!
Have a good day everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Hope the weather stays good and you make lots of money
Its a bit dull and overcast but nice and warm and the sun is trying to burst out so you never know
Sorted housework out washed doors and kitchen units and put a dark load in the washer , im toying with cleaning the insides of the windows but I didn't have a good night last night with my neck , its settled now and I don't want to set it off again so they might have to wait another day.

Good morning everyone. We have got sunshine with just a few 'fair weather' clouds. We've got no plans for today, so I might tackle some horrible jobs in the gardening, like weeding the paths and patio! There again, I might just sit and watch them grow a bit more.
Gem - you will have earned your Pimms by tonight. I hope it all goes well.
Oma - you definitely shouldn't be doing anything to make your neck worse! The windows can wait. I love catching up with friends, too, and you're right about our meets - we just pick up where we left off last time. But it's also great to welcome any first-timers.
Clover - any news from GS?
Have a good shopping day, Nanto, despite the rain.
