A toe-tapper. One member the audience clearly was unimpressed, but those standing on the piano looked happier.

A nostalgic song for me! Plus, it's entertaining watching someone play an amazing piece of electronic wizardry like this.

This has bad memories for me Daisy. Don't worry you didn't know. I can see what you mean tho'.

Nana - I'm so sorry. Music can bring back such powerful memories - good and bad.

I hope this sets your toes tapping in a happy way - The Travelling Wilburys.

As you say Nana, no one can know what triggers which response in any individual.

              Daisy, I'm enjoying your choices

Aww, thank you Gem. I know music is very personal and individual, but most music I enjoy just for its own sake.

It's high summer (even if the weather doesn't always agree) and I was just thinking about other (normal) summers.

What piece of music do you associate with happy, lazy summer days?

For it's from way back in 1959. I'd just left school and had a really long summer holiday before starting college.

I hadn't started school then Daisy

I remember being at home in the garden one last day of the summer term in my teens and hearing Schools Out for Summer on the radio, which seemed apt!
I can't say it's one of my favourite songs but it takes me back to my teens and that start of the summer break feeling.

                      Gem - you're just a youngster!

That summer when I left school I was so happy, and felt the world was my oyster. I was also really into American pop culture and life for teens over there seemed so glamorous and exciting! You could drive a car at 16 in most States, and the shops were really geared up for current fashions and music. To me, living in a dirty Northern industrial city it was like an impossible dream. It never crossed my mind that I would ever go there! Of course, I was just 16 and knew nothing.

But, sadly, I don't think most 16 year olds have the same level of optimism about life these days. I think most of them take life much more seriously and have more pressure on them.

Awww, you poor bones. Did the reflexology ease any of your aches this week?

Actually, to be fair its not that bad most of the time now Daisy. When it was very bad I had 3 treatments at 2 weekly intervals, yesterday's was after 3 weeks and now I am going back to my monthly ones for 'maintenance', unless things get too bad again.

Gem - there you are then - as I said! To improve that much you must be a youngster. xx
