Every time I post the grinning icon, this, above is what it posts as! I have had this happen before on occasion. I have NO idea why, some sort of weird glitch?

Oh dear, Gem! Sorry I just assumed you'd typed them as :d which is what I usually do as it's quicker than clicking on the smiley.

Is this on your laptop or phone?

I wonder if it works if you leave a space between each set of grinning smileys?

Brilliant! You got it sorted. As soon as you say the word 'gremlins' they scoot off to pester someone else.

Whilst tidying cupboards out I came across a programme of one of the first concerts I went to, it was Roy Orbison and must have been in 1963, I know it was in Doncaster. The programme cost all of 2 shillings!!!!!

Lizzie - I would have loved to see Roy Orbison. Two shillings for the programme sounds a lot for those days - I dread to think what the tickets cost!

                            Did you enjoy the concert?

I did enjoy every moment of it, I remember that! I can't remember what the tickets cost, I must have saved for months to go!!!! It was a young man from our village, his father had a coach service and he run these coaches to Doncaster for the shows. Music has had a thread through all my life. I still love music.

What a great time you must have had. The boyfriend of an old school mate of mine used to put on concerts and dances every so often, and a crowd of us would go along.

I still love music as well, Lizzie. I'm currently trying to brush up my very rusty keyboard skills a bit. It's relaxing because I have to concentrate on what I'm doing, but a bit frustrating when my fingers don't work fast enough!

I'm working on a mixture of classical and pop music. And being an electronic keyboard, I can turn the volume down low so I'm not serenading half the village with wrong notes.
