It's Summertime, and what could be better than these two music greats ......

Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong - Summertime. The best version, I guess.

I have this on a CD Daisy...and on my iPad and phone. 😁 Truly jazz greats.

Grauntie - I'm going to put it as an alarm/timer on my iPhone when I've got the time to work out how to do it!!

Glad you've both enjoyed it as much as I have!

I heard Tony Blackburn tonight playing old songs such nostalgia , one of my favourites was Jackie Wilson and when my DS was less than a year old I would play the record repeatedly so it brought back memories, but the thing I couldnt t believe was on YouTube it’s the music set to a much earlier dance routine watch it

Qwerty - I've just watched both videos through twice - they are amazing - totally in synch with the music. I can't imagine how long it took to put those compilations together! Thanks for posting them

Not exactly nostalgic, but I really enjoyed this and wish I could just sit down and play like this!

Today it the 60th anniversary of the plane crash in which Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens, who was only 17, died. The day the music died indeed.

I remember seeing it on the news (I was 15) and being totally unable to understand how that could happen to Buddy Holly who was my music hero. The "Winter Dance Party' on the video was his last performance.
