It's a shame they killed her off as it is often best to leave the door open when young actors are as good as she is. She may regret her decision but perhaps she has had other offers. I would like to see her again in other dramas. I don't watch any other soaps at all but have always watched Corrie since the beginning. DH doesn't like it at all so I watch it on my iPad the day after usually. In fact I do that with Holby City and Casualty too. Do they count as soaps I wonder.
This is a sticky topic.

My money's on Roy and the allotment lady providing a long running story line. She was in Waterloo Road for several series. I watch Corrie very occasionally but don't know most of the characters unless they've been there for at least 20 years! I find Pestenders depressing - everyone is always arguing and shouting, that's when they're not killing each other. I'm hopeless at keeping track of any of the story lines in soaps or drama series."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

I enjoy Emmerdale, Corro and Eastenders.I don't watch home and away or neighbours though.Yes the death of Maddie was sad,and in a way there were other characters I would of preffered to have gone.Mary for instance her wittering get's on my nerves and that silly Julie."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Used to watch Neighbours and Home and Away when we lived in Oz and when we came back, but don't watch any soaps now. Couldn't tell you who is in them! Because Neighbours in Oz was ahead of the broadcasts in UK, DD used to video the episodes and hire them out when she went back to boarding school!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

In soaps, Mimi, children can be put in cupboards and forgotten about I think
My mum always says that, and also says that all these people spend lots of money on drinks and meals yards from their own homes. The reason for that is that the pub/café/shop scenario is an important device to get characters to meet other characters. I know what she means though!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I heard both Julie and Mary are going Libra so that should improve things a bit. I wonder where the Les Dennis melt down story is going next. What a surprise him going berserk - seems out of character. I also heard that Carla is going which I think is a real shame but her choice and not the writers apparently. The character I miss most is Madge - she was such a hoot with her wonderful one-liners.Be careful when blindly following the Masses.

LOL I must be highbrow I find soaps depressing as in Eastenders and others just not real life but I can understand people watch them as it might take them out of their own lives and let it go over their heads just not for me, ENJOY ladies, I am not into soaps but I do like some crap Phil and Kirsty, makeovers, Dine with me that sort of thing so I am not really high brow folk
