I sympathise with how you feel Mimi, I lost a dear dear friend this summer, I could tell her anything, we shopped together, swam together, laughed, I miss her very much and I am thinking about how her family will feel with Christmas looming.

Eight years on and I don't think I will ever get used to the huge loss I feel. He was such a strong, loving , caring dad. He never interfered , he was always ' just there' whenever I needed him. His wise words and humour got the both of us through some very difficult times. I wouldn't be the woman I am now if it wasn't for him. ♥

Mimi, I have seen your lovely dads photo on FB. He sounds so like my lovely dad, who died 7 years ago.
                      Sending you Hugs today Mimi.
Allthough we are so sad and miss them so much, think how fortunate we were to have such wonderful men as fathers xxx

Mimi - it's so true, we never stop missing them. I know Oma lost her dad when she was very young, as I did, too, and it still hurts. It makes me sad that he never met my OH or our children, still less our grandchildren.

                        Big hug to you. xxx

I seem to miss my dad more as the years go by he was the strongest man I have ever met and so wise he and my mum certainly put us all on the straight & narrow for life,we girls all adored our dad.(& of course our mum)
