Plant, I thought of you as I was writing my reply to Mimi. I know you lost your dear friend not long ago, and will miss her a lot, especially at this time of year..
Lots of love to Mimi and Plant, and hoping you remember happy times with those friends xx“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Eight years on and I don't think I will ever get used to the huge loss I feel. He was such a strong, loving , caring dad. He never interfered , he was always ' just there' whenever I needed him. His wise words and humour got the both of us through some very difficult times. I wouldn't be the woman I am now if it wasn't for him. ♥Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi, I have seen your lovely dads photo on FB. He sounds so like my lovely dad, who died 7 years ago.
Sending you Hugs today Mimi.
Allthough we are so sad and miss them so much, think how fortunate we were to have such wonderful men as fathers xxx“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Mimi - it's so true, we never stop missing them. I know Oma lost her dad when she was very young, as I did, too, and it still hurts. It makes me sad that he never met my OH or our children, still less our grandchildren.
Big hug to you. xxx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
