Plant it sounds like her Granddaughter needs this time with your Sister ,
She will be worn out but I am betting she wouldn't change this chance to spend your Sisters last moments with her .

Sadly she cant predict when her passing will be and she needs to sleep no amount of staying awake will guarantee her being there in the final moments does it .
She sounds a lovely caring girl .
Safe journey and we will all be thinking about you xxx

        Safe journey Plant xx

Dreadful journey, traffic hold-ups everywhere. When her GD told her I was there, my sister responded happily. The nurse was there when I arrived so had to wait for a bit. Most of the time I sat with her she was asleep. Apart from when her GD told her I was there. My sisters doctor friend was there, such a nice man, he fetched my son from the car and made him a cup of tea and had a chat. Her GD obviously loves my sister very much and talks to her even though she isn’t awake, she sleeps on a settee at the side of my sister’s bed. I am a bit worried about her, thanked her for looking after my sister her GM and gave her a big cuddle. No sign of her son!!

Plant - I'm so glad you made the journey to see your sister, even though though the roads were awful. I think your sister must have been a very special grandmother to her GD over many years - it sounds as though they have a beautiful relationship. It's lovely that she was happy you were visiting, and good to have met your sister's doctor friend as well.

I don't know how old your great-niece is but she probably has energy we can only dream about these days, and although she's anxious, she's doing the very best for your sister.

I'm sure you will be tired after all the travelling, but sleep well tonight. xxx

What a lovely young lady She must have had a wonderful relationship with her grandmother.
I'm so pleased you saw your sister Plant and it obviously meant a lot to her too.

The dreadful journey plus the emotion of it all will have taken it out of you , so please take it easy the next day or so.

Well things don’t get any easier. I spoke to my sister’s Dil yesterday and she told me my sister’s card was used to buy tickets from The Ticketmaster when she was in hospital so the bank have cancelled her card. GD who is looking after sister is demanding the card so she can talk to social services and my sister’s dil took it to the bank instead. They have released £200 when it was explained to them that her GD needed some money so Dil was taking it to her but not going in as the GD was horrible to her last time she went to see my sister. We think she has some mental issues but is looking after my sister very well. My sister always found it difficult to get on with this GD, ironical that she is the one looking after my sister. .I really wish her time would come so we can put her to rest and stop all this waring.

Plant, it was good that your sister was happy to see you, even if she did sleep for most of the visit. It must have been some comfort to you that you'd managed to get to see her. Horrible situation about the money being taken from her card though. Sad too about the family relationships which must be adding to a worrying time for everyone. Her doctor friend sounds a lovely friend for her to have.

Take care and I'm sending you love xx

Her GD said she was standing beside my sister’s bed and her doctor was the other side when she passed away very peacefully. I shall miss our telephone chats about Strickly and sport, she loved any sport. No sign of her son coming. I gather he has married again for the fourth time.
