I’ve heard they are very good, Clover. Would be interested to hear how you get on with them. Thank you all for your kind comments.

Bamboo pins are lovely to work with Clover! I'm still using my old metal pins with all the old UK sizes on them ! I have to get my conversion chart out every time I start something new!!

Like the sock, Enfys! Last time I knitted a pair my DD made off with them as they were perfect for wearing in her wellies! I haven't got round to knitting any more. I'm knitting a blanket at the moment because the one I'd crocheted with all my odd bits of wool has also disappeared......last seen on GS's bed!!

WeeGranny - I think your family approve of your knitting skills.

I don't know how the new needle sizes work - I think I was at school last time I bought needles.

WG I'm exactly the same. No idea about knitting needle sizes now. Because I knit small objects I prefer short needles to work with. I'm unsure which needle I like best...metal or bamboo. I think the former. Daisy I've made two cardigans for my teddies & a dress for my GD's doll I made for her at Christmas. There's been no 'demand'.

Enfys I love the sock. Others have mentioned the blanket & I must say that I think it's beautiful. I said last year I would learn to crochet but didn't...maybe this year.😉

I always have to google needle sizes now, they all seem to be in cms and I still work in inches! Nana, with all that’s happened in the last 12 months, crochet and now knitting have been a life saver for me, stops me thinking about things.

Nearly finished the pullover I am knitting for GGS, just the sewing up to do. It has given me a bit of a headache, strange instructions at times threw me.

Enfys - it's good to be able to immerse yourself in something creative. xx

Plant - I hope GGS doesn't grow out of his pullover too quickly! Is this the one you saw him wearing at the weekend?

Enfys are patterns in centimetres as well?

Yes Daisy, I also bought him a turtle neck shirt to go under it, it looked good but I wish I had knitted the next size so it would last longer.

Plant - does that mean knitting another one then?

                                Love the colours
On the way home today I was telling B about you making socks and he said he loved when I used to make his for work as they kept his feet warmer than shop bought socks ,
He never told me that at the time so I was quite surprised
I will show him these tomorrow
Im not fat just 6ft too small
